3.25~3.5stars?? Mystery was okay, but I'm more interested in Cole ( I think that was his name anyway). Also, I took off .5~.75 stars because it felt like ...Amber is really starting to irritate me, but I think I will probably read the next one because of how this book ended
Amber and Simon are involved in the search for a killer who has transformed a simple game into a killing weapon. The crimes are all linked to the most important factory in town and all those who perished were somewhat involved in the same project. The local police are totally committed to helping the FBI and they play an important part in the process of finding the culprit. Simon, Amber, and Francesca will fight a strong battle to detain the deranged criminal. Entertaining!
Not the best in the series - big cliffhanger for #5. As another review stated, the forced romance is detracting from the puzzle aspect of the series. Could be I’m pro Simon and don’t care much for Joseph.
The plot and killer were interesting enough, Colm stole the show, I'm just really intrigued with everything going on with him and excited to see how it all unfolds.
Totally expected that with Joseph, I feel like Amber has feelings for Simon or is building feelings for him, hince her moments of jealousy (I think it's jealousy even though she denies it being so). So, it feels like it's not all in with Joseph, plus I really can't tell if Joseph genuinely likes Amber or not.
And that ending...oh definitely starting the next book now.
Can Amber and company stop a killer from continuing in killing those he feels were guilty of the WM 120 fiasco? We continue to follow Amber, as the now full fledged FBI agent, assists in solving another puzzle clue to try and save victims of the killer. Great follow-up to book 3.
Loving the puzzle aspect of this series. The two partners have good chemistry and work well together. Looking forward to the final book in this series.
Author very smart by leaving a cliffhanger at the end to 'force' me to get #5, which I will on Kindle. The only negative, narrator should not be attempting New York accents
