Untouchable Kate has always been that to me, but I just found a bold letter she wrote to Santa. I’ve always been the good guy—successful, responsible, kind—but too easy to dismiss. And nice wasn’t what she asked Santa for. Kate is freshly divorced and mourning the death of her mother. She needs a friend, not a lover. But what if I could be both? What if I could give her the fantasy she craves while winning her heart? If I do this well enough, she’ll forgive a few lies . . .
Kate
It’s been a tough year. When I wrote the letter to Santa, I was angry. Okay, maybe I shouldn’t have asked him for anything as graphic as I did, but I didn’t mail the letter. I stopped myself before going that far. But I did drop it. Now someone is sending me naughty packages with detailed, hot suggestions. He says he’s the Head Elf in charge of fulfilling my type of request. I can’t believe I’m doing what he tells me to . . .and liking it. This might be exactly what I need to get out of my funk. At least, until our game begins to involve Brock—a man who has always been nice to me.I can’t use Brock that way.I won’t. I’m torn between a delicious fantasy and a chance for something real.
Note from the This storyline was originally published as novellas (12 Days of Temptation and Be my Temptation) in my Temptation Series, but the story has been reimagined.
This story has a higher heat level than my other books and reading it may land you on Santa’s naughty list.
Ruth Cardello hit the NYTs and USA Today for the first time back in 2012. Millions of sales are evidence that her books are akin to potato chips, addictive from the first one. She has created a multi-series billionaire world with a combination of escapism and realism that has gained her a faithful following of readers.
What Kindle Reviewers write about her:
"Wow hot at every page. Heart stoping, fear raging, mind blowing wonderful."
"I'm a true fan of Ms. Cardello. I ran on to her first book a few years back and have been hooked ever since. I could go on and on about the story like of this book, but I'm not. All of her books are total page turners, unique, heart wrenching, and I love them all. There isn't two alike in the bunch and I feel like i know the characters personally. I personally read 97 authors books. And I buy every book they put out. This author is in my top 10. Great job and keep them coming."
"Love this series. Got me to start reading again. I look forward to the next book. Thank you for giving me the love of reading back."
Ruth Cardello was born the youngest of 11 children in a small city in northern Rhode Island. She spent her young adult years moving as far away as she could from her large extended family. She lived in Boston, Paris, Orlando, New York--then came full circle and moved back to New England. She now happily lives one town over from the one she was born in. For her, family trumped the warmer weather and international scene.
She was an educator for 20 years, the last 11 as a kindergarten teacher. When her school district began cutting jobs, Ruth turned a serious eye toward her second love- writing and has never been happier. When she's not writing, you can find her chasing her children around her small farm or connecting with her readers online.

Have you ever just wanted to vent out your frustration via words or anything else? That is what Kate did after life dealt her a hand she was tired of holding. Instead of mailing it she dropped it. Poor Santa couldn’t get his fussing at but Brock did and helped make her season bright.
This book was originally a novella in the (12 Days of Temptation and Be my Temptation) series
The name's Brock
I have had always had a thing for Kate or as she's better known as Untouchable Kate . Kate is always and has always been that untouchable to me. I've recently discovered a flaming Hot letter that she wrote to Santa Claus but i guess she forgot to hide it properly from me or did i end up finding and reading it by mistake just to take a peak into her lusty life?? The thing is and i the good, respectful guy that she found easy to ignore or just pretend that i wasn't around. Now after mourning the death of her mum and that was hard for her, or even more so that she has finally got that divorce from the guy who was a waste of time in my eyes. I wish I had been man enough to admit my feelings for her. Do you think that i could get away by telling a few white lies and if she ever found out about them would she ever forgive me?
I'm forever the "Untouchable" Kate
Let's just say it's been a long, hard, painful and devastating year for me. What i forgot when i've been angry is that i wrote a letter to Santa Claus and i regret doing it as i'd put so much graphic and erotic details in it and now i wished that i had wrote it but luckily i stopped from sending it, my only problem is that i dropped the letter. However someone who found the letter has obviously picked up the letter i wrote and are suddenly sending me erotic and naughty gifts with some explicit detailed letters or notes inside them, The mysterious man say's he's going to help fulfil my dreams. The mysterious man claims that he's the head Elf from Santa's workshop, he's determined to help fulfil my fantasies.
After i find out that the Head Elf is Brock i'm lost for words and in shock that it was him sending me these naughty presents and erotic detailed letters or notes.
The problem is do i just have a friends with benefits with Brock or do i open up my heart and try again with Brock or do i just see where life takes us
This is a story about Brock and Kate. Brock has been in love with Kate since they were kids but Kate was so sheltered by her mom that she didn't know or understand anything. Kate's mom thought that having lots of money was the answer to everything so she worked two jobs to give her everything she thought she would need to be rich and in the right circles. Brock met Kate when his dad was doing some renovation work at her house. Because of her mom Kate garnered the nickname "untouchable Kate". They spent the entire summer together being kids. Kate and her mom moved away never to be heard from again. Fast forward 20 years and Kate returns following the death of her mom and her marriage. Kate was angry and sad and wrote a letter to Santa. She changed her mind and didn't mail it but she dropped it and yep you guessed it, Brock picked it up. Brock decided to answer her letter and try an help her out. Brock saw it as an invitation to get Kate the person he has wanted and been waiting for all his life. I really like Brock but I cold not catch the feels for Kate. Don't get me wrong what Brock did was wrong but he didn't mean to hurt her but what Kate forgets is she wasn't totally honest either. This book has A LOT of errotic scenes and things that were a bit much in my opinion. I am not saying you have to be vanilla but this was a little too much. I will stop there. It was an okay read but definitely not my favorite by this author in a long shot.
Untouchable Kate by Ruth Cardello is hot, steamy, and sweet Christmas read! Kate is back in the town of Misty Falls to settle her recently departed mom’s house as well as start over after a divorce that left her feeling less than. She writes a scathing and a bit dirty letter to Santa to release her pent up anger but decides at the last minute not to send it. When she accidentally drops it, Brock, her childhood friend, who has had a crush on Kate for 20 years picks it up. He wrestles with himself, do I read it or give it back? In a moment of weakness he decides to read it. And oh boy!!! He is ready to fulfill her Christmas wishes immediately. However, he devised a plan to bring himself closer into Kate’s world. Is it wrong? Maybe, but he just wants to get close to her.
What follows is HOT HOT HOT!!! I love the way Ruth Cardello brings us into each of these characters’ insecurities with sensitivity and heartbreak. I really wanted them together and was so quickly pulled into the story, I read it in one sitting. Brock is not perfect but his heart is huge and so is his… (you get the idea). Kate, while superficially is cool as a cucumber, inside she’s a beautiful mess. Watching these two find each other and work to be each others’ HEA was quintessential Ruth Cardello. I highlt recommend for a quick hot, and sweet Christmas read.
He’s a naughty elf… but you can’t help but love a guy who goes to so much trouble to get the woman of his dreams.
Brock is just such an adorable guy and the lengths he goes to in order to help Kate find herself and let go of the past is nothing short of admirable. Ok… so maybe posing as Santa’s Head Elf in charge of the infamous naughty list might be a disaster waiting to happen, but you can’t fault his intentions.
As for Kate… well let’s just say, I feel like I have emotional whiplash. She is a very mixed up woman who blows so hot and cold that I became totally befuddled by some of her responses to Brock’s gifts and games. Don’t get me wrong, I love them as a couple and it’s obvious they belong together, but Kates fear of letting herself go when it comes to love becomes a little annoying. Come on, Kate. The guy obviously loves you more than your deadbeat ex-husband ever did.
Love is about taking a leap of faith. Take it with someone who worships the ground you walk on and would literally make a fool of himself for you.
Really enjoyed this book. It would make an amazing sexy Christmas Romance film because I had all the feels. As always with Cardello’s wonderful books… I’m hoping we get to see what happens next. Here’s to the next story where maybe Tyler will find a woman to meet his match.
Kate Hale didn’t know if her secret texter was a dirty old man or a horny teenager and didn’t know what to make of a stranger sending her presents. After the loss of her mother, Kate finds herself back in her hometown to make some decisions about life without her mother and her cheating ex-husband. After writing a very furious letter to Santa, Kate receives a text from someone calling themselves Master Elf. She decides to play along to see what happens and in doing so, finds confidence to become more than Untouchable Kate. In the meantime she runs into an old high school friend. When Brock Foster decides to make Kate Hale fall in love with him by playing a game, little did he know it was going to backfire big. Sparks fly when Kate and Brock start their journey getting reacquainted, but Kate can’t decide if she wants naughty or nice.
Untouchable Kate is a fun, sexy romance with Christmas thrown in for good measure. There are tears, laughter, fun, a hot sexy guy, best friends with lots of advice, and just the right amount of holiday cheer which makes for a great romance to put the reader in the Christmas spirit. I thoroughly enjoyed Untouchable Kate and highly recommend this book.
Untouchable Kate is beautifull study of woman's soul and sexuality. Kate tried her whole life to met the expectaction of another. Her mother, society, her husband. On the way she lost herself. After death of her mum and divorce with her unfaithful husband she came on the only place, where she was happy. She went her anger in the letter for Santa. Brock coudln't forget his childhood friend and later teenage crush, who was unattainable for him. When he found her letter, he is thrilled. He can fulfil her phantasies, and be the right man for her. But what happens when the secrets are exposed? Can Kate find herself and her happiness? The book is steamy, sexy, food for soul and sooo funny, that in some part You will literally rolling on floor. Kate is great in finding herself again an Brock is soo sweet, fantastic and funny, as himself, as Mr. Elf and hillarous as Cupid.
I absolutely loved this story - a little more racy than Ruth normally writes and she definitely got this one right. As a young girl, Kate was shy and her mother alienated her from making friends, and the nickname Untouchable Kate followed her. As a grown woman, she wanted to change and find not only friends, but a man who could love her as good as her fantasies were. Her wish was answered after her naughty letter to Santa and her only childhood friend , Brock reconnects with her. Relating to Kate, I understood the emotions she had with Brock and her anger when she found out what Brock had done. Even with their rocky road, Kate finds her romance just as Santa ordered. A five star spicy read.
This book is fire, it’s that good. This is much spicier than what Ruth Cardello usually writes but I loved that it was. She took good girl Kate and turned her into still a good girl but someone who finally saw what she needed and actually went after it. Brock has been in love with Kate for years and never thought that he had a chance with her until Kate accidentally drops a letter that she was mailing to Santa asking for what she needed. Brock sees that as an opportunity to win Kate over. It kind of turns into a game of Brock helping Kate see and do what she needs without her knowing that it’s Brock helping her. And boy does he “help” her. What a book Ruth, what a book!
Okay Ms. Cardell, I expect a great deal from you, and you Always deliver! But, Kate and Brock's story was awesome! I Loved the over the top, keep the reader and Kate guessing what was going to happen next. I especially adored it was Brock her only childhood friend, and real friend till she meets Angie, that brought this to her. I laughed, encouraged, and fell in love with Kate, Untouchable Kate, and Brock. Their story was unique and absolutely fun and of course, loving! It takes a big man to be a man like Brock, and he didn't all the way! He is exactly what Kate needed. I loved the little "city" and everyone in it! It was so much fun to read!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book when I read the description so started expecting not to enjoy it, but I loved it! I adored Brock, he had loved Kate since they were little, but in his attempt to get Kate to love him it all went a little wrong. Kate loved Brock but had had really hard life experiences so was reluctant to trust him. This story tells how Brock took things a little too far and backfired on him despite aiming for the obvious. The story also highlights Kate’s indecision, which in turn leads to a beautiful HEA. Great book which I thoroughly recommend ❤️
I really enjoyed this story. Brock and Kate have some history from their childhood, and he has harbored a crush all these years. I loved her letter to Santa, with all the anger and naughty wishes. Brock being the person who found it was perfect. It definitely started out as an anonymous sexy, kinky way to connect with Kate. But, lines did start to cross when Brock spent more and more time with Kate outside of the mystery Elf persona. I liked the way things built between them, and it was an entertaining read. Untouchable Kate was a unique, sexy story.
This was an interesting take for a holiday story. Even though Brock and Kate’s relationship started in a very unconventional way, it helped with their emotional growth. Especially for Kate, who learned to trust herself and, with a lot of help, others. From finally to having a true friend to having an open and honest relationship with someone that she knew from her youth and now as a grown woman. Brock realized what he wanted in a woman and didn’t fear a long term commitment with her. There is plenty of steam to keep the reader intrigued.
An unfair adolescent nickname followed Kate all through her life and had her Christmas mood anything but positive. She wrote a letter to Santa asking for some very adult activity. An old friend, Brock, found the letter and decided to make her wish come true while maintaining his anonymity. The emotion and sparks are obvious and can be felt by the reader as well as by the characters. Ms. Cardello is excellent at writing emotional and heartfelt stories and this one is no exception. Highly recommended. I was given a free ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
This is certainly a hot 🔥read. I loved it!! The ups and downs Kate had, the mastery of Mr Elf, (master) and of course the wonder that was Brock. I loved the idea of chopping and changing from one character to the next in the chapters. It had me wanting to be Kate, and have all that attention that she was getting. I can only assume from the ending of this book, that there will be a follow up for Tyler. If so, I can’t wait to read it. Ruth you bring such pleasure to your readers with your wonderful stories and plots.
This is such a fun holiday novella. I was hooked from page one. Kate drops a letter to Santa and Brock finds it. He had a crush on her when they were younger, and answers as Mr.Elf. It becomes very steamy and Kate gets more daring. But she has trust issues due to her ex husband, and what will happen when she finds out what Brock did? Had some laughs, some tears and really loved how he makes up to her. I’m really happy they finally got their happy ever after. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I recommend this book.
That holiday themed story is the perfect balance between cute and very very steamy. I really liked that Brock "studied" to try and give Kate what she needed and quite didn't know she wanted. It changes from all those "know-it-all" male characters and also gave me quite some laughs. And there's more than just the building romance between those 2, I enjoyed very much seeing Kate discovering herself outside of what was expecting from her since childhood. That book is very good, and not only on Christmas.
OMG! Ruth Carrillo knocked this sexy Christmas book out of the park!
I love this Christmas book about Kate and Brock! This story is about two people who met and played together for a whole summer while Brock's dad renovated the house Kate's mom owned. After that summer, they didn't see each other again until the beginning of this story, a decade of so later. Brock and Kate's story is very sexy and back and forth. But this is a very fun read and highly worthwhile! I highly recommend this book! I'm sure you'll love it as much as I did!
Ms. Cardello issued a disclaimer at the beginning of this book about how much spicier this book was that most of her books. She intended to warn her readers, but for me it was - game on! I was excited to dive in and was not disappointed. This story was incredible. It was romantic, poignant, funny, and beautiful. The feels from the story of Brock and Kate are perfect! I loved everything about it and was especially glad for those “spicier” parts, Miss Ruth!!!
Where do I start? Kate was a stranger in the town she grew up on. Misguidedly, her Mom set her apart, thinking she was setting her up for a better life, then she herself grew up in.
Brock had always remembered her fondly from childhood and couldn't believe his luck, when he stumbled upon a letter she wrote to Santa,
Thus Naughty Elf was born and adventure awaits for both of them.
Hold on to your drawers, as it's about to get HOT in here!
If you want a book that makes you laugh and you get a good point across this is it
I always enjoy Ruth's books. This one was no exception there's parts of it I laughed so hard I thought I'd pee my pants. And other parts That had such a good clear message about telling the truth that spoke to me. The characters were loveable and you could almost feel their pain. This story was a bit of a heart break that touches your heart.
This story starts off with a deviation from typical Ruth Cardello style - it was definitely more steamy than expected - which may throw some for a loop. As you keep reading, things progress into a cute little love story between Kate and Brock (it's still steamy but you get used to it) . It was nice to see Kate find her own strength as the story played out, and who knew nice-guy Brock had a dark side (in a good way)? A solid holiday read.
Untouchable Kate is a steamy change up from Ruth Cardello’s normal writing style, but it was still so enjoyable from start to finish!
I loved reading about how Brock helped Kate explore the hotter side of things, and it was definitely enjoyable reading about how they got to their HEA. Steamier and full of BIG fun. Emphasis on the big.
This book didn’t disappoint and I will continue to be an immediate buy when it comes to Ruth’s books!
This book was different from my usual Ruth Cardello reads. While her books are sexy, this one is a bit more raunchy! Both characters were a mess. Kate was insecure from years of not being herself and disappointments. Brock talked, through an alter ego, a good game, but handed over his man card when it came to Kate and/ or his sister. He did whatever Kate wanted. He put his dignity aside and humbled himself in the name of love.
I thought this was a great holiday read. Kate who has written a letter to Santa because her mother always told her to write to Santa no matter what her age was. She has just lost her mother and newly divorced from her cheating husband this year. Brock who has had a crush on Kate forever has found her Santa letter that she accidentally didn’t mean to mail. He intends to fulfill her naughty wish. This is definitely a sexy romantic holiday read that I enjoyed.
A really great read. Kate writes Santa an eff you letter for her disappointments of life. She also asks for something naughty. Only the letter doesn't get mailed and ends up in Brock's hands. Brock has always had a thing for Kate from when they were kids. He takes steps to make her wishes come true. Now let the craziness begin. High drama, angsty, plenty of WTF and smexy as heck.
Wrapped in heartache, sprinkled with irony and laced with humor, Untouchable Kate is a heartbreaker's delight. Kate and Brock bring a depth of emotion that proves endearingly awkward enough to be temptingly, irresistible. From the disappointments of life to the healing balm of love, Cardello awakens the heart with soulful romance.
Untouchable Kate is a fun spicy, spicy read. Kate and Brock are both well defined. I enjoyed their relationship. As always a well written story From Ruth Cardello. I'll tell you though, if you don't like a lot of sex in a book this is one to avoid. Lets say Kate gets all she wants from Santa via Mr Elf.
When Mr. Elf starts suggesting ways to untouchable Kate, you never know what will happen. This book makes you think. Could you live outside a bubble and create a fantasy, but when do that fantasy end and real feelings begin? Shouldn't we all splurge a little in a relationship? Fall in love with Kate and Brock's story.
Appearances are very much like first impressions; they do not sum up who an individual truly is. Being privy to Kate's and Brock's internal dialogue alternated between being laugh out loud funny and wanting to give them each a hug with a whole lotta smokin hot stuff in between. A great, feel wonderful read!
