This was a good read. Danee needs help from Agile. Marshall and his men agree. Marshall and her develop feelings for each other. However, they both are lonely and complicated people. Thankfully in the end everything works out and they get their happy ending.

Jenna Gunn definitely turned up the steam factor with Marshall and Danee in this action packed story and I couldn't be more pleased! I especially loved how both of these characters had such soft marshmallow hearts beneath tough exteriors. I found myself laughing, crying, and turning on the fan! A well rounded romantic suspense read that was amazing!

I love the enemies-to-lovers trope! The plot was realistic but I felt like it was rushed a little bit to add suspense and intrigue it was hard to keep up with the pace, settings, and storyline at some points.

Danee is desperate to get help for her best friend so she approaches Luke to offer to help Agile Security solve a case if they will help her in return. She plans to disappear after helping her friend so she isn't looking for a relationship right now. Marshall loves running Agile Security. He has been burned by a prior relationship so he isn't looking for a relationship right now. They don't exactly get along when they first meet but their attraction to one another is undeniable. They have to solve two cases together but figuring out they are in love is something neither one of them saw coming.

Danee keeps a lot of secrets hence the name of the book. I understand why she didn't tell Marshall her whole story at first because she didn't fully trust him. Her story is a little woo-woo and hard to believe so be prepared to suspend disbelief. I'm going to skip replaying her part of the story becuase she is the reason the story exists at all. Marshall is a straightforward character. He also keeps a secret from Danee but there would be absolutely no reason he would need to tell her until it is revealed in the story. Neither character gets a lot of growth but they both learn to be happy because of finding each other.

The first mystery gets solved after some hiccups. The story spends a lot of time showing the couple getting to know each other. The second mystery gets a little time at the end of the story. There are also other relationships introduced that take up time in the story. The only characters from the earlier stories are Savannah (but only in a phone call) and Sierra and Cole so readers new to the series won’t get bogged down in all of the different characters in the series. The author chose to finish the book with an everyone loves everyone else and the world is perfect moment so be prepared for that.
I did have some issues with this story. For example, Danee approached Luke about helping Agile but Luke is a silent investor and his relationship with the company is not public. Why and how did she go to Luke? Shouldn't she have approached Marshall? That leads to the next issue. Danee’s story doesn’t make sense because she has a complicated background. I would think that Marshall would want his company to do a deep dive into Danee's background but all he does is a perfunctory search. Even if he falls for her, he needs to protect all of the people in his company.

This book has supernatural elements. The author added adult activity to this story that hasn't been in the prior stories. This is a contemporary story that is part of the Agile Security series but can be read as a standalone. I had issues with this story but I found myself wanting to know what happens next so I gave it 4 stars. I will definitely read the next book in the series.

Oh, I can't describe how much I was looking forward to reading Marshall's book.
He is the boss of Agile.

After reading "Saving Savannah" I felt so extremely sorry for him. It's no secret what happened because it comes up sometimes. His bride had dumbed him at the altar 🤬 In "Saving Savannah" there wasn't much about her, but from the beginning when anyone talked about her, I felt nothing good. I felt she wasn't the right one for him. So even though I felt sorry for him, I was happy.
With this history, he doesn't trust women and isn't interested in any.
With all of his team members falling in love and getting babies, it's twice as hard to be so heartbroken 💔

Because I already read the following books, I knew he would get his HEA, but I so needed to read it 😁

When they met at Luke's (Marshall's silent partner)... Ooooh... It was 💣 but not in a good way 🙈 Marshall couldn't stand Danee. And she wasn't happy about him either.
Danee has an ability or skill, whatever you want to call it. That's why she was in the Navy. They have a special department. And Marshall thinks that's just hokus-pukus. Danee is also young and bio just doesn't fit. It stinks. Another reason why he doesn't trust her one bit.

But their chemistry 🥵 It's 🔥
What I didn't expect is, that he has such a dirty 👄 and is so dominant 😱🙈

There is this one scene in a restaurant... They don't "do" anything, but still, this scene is 🔥 it's full of tension and chemistry 🥵

Oh, and I so loved the epilog 🩷 That's so cute 🩷

Danee Swan stood in the office of Agile security and rescue, the boss, ruggedly handsome former marine, Marshal Lake, was glaring at her as though he despised her but Danee stood her ground, she had information that they desperately needed and in return she needed their help.
When Marshal looked into the beautiful eyes of the petite woman standing in his office, the shock was like a bolt of lightening, they were so like the eyes of someone that he had known, the same someone who had broken him.
Former navy advanced technical officer, Danee knew that Marshal didn't want to go with her to retrieve the information that they needed, for some reason he despised her but Danee stood her ground, lives depended on her.
Marshal dug deep into Danee's profile, things didn't add up, she was keeping secrets from him but what and why ?
You can't have two intense, driven characters like Danee and Marshal working together without the chemistry being off the charts and this story is no exception, much as he fought it, Marshal falls head over heels for Danee but can he trust her ? When Danee's life is in danger Marshal would move heaven and earth to keep her safe.
This book has action, suspense, palpable passion and a few surprises, a really enjoyable read.

OMG! Ice water, stat! Dani and Marshall have a lava hot chemistry and indulge in some very steamy escapades. Marshal is an ex SEAL, now security expert whose personality is locked up tight behind a surly, commanding and distant facade. Dani, former military herself and gifted with another talent few have, has come to Marshal and his partner to help solve a case in return for their help. Marshal is disbelieving of not only her talent but also her background. Nevertheless, he takes her with him to see if her clue is valid. That’s where things turn twisty, their fiery chemistry erupts and Marshal soon finds himself a goner. Dani is just as sweet as she appeared, but has a backbone of steel and an inner tigress she keeps well hidden. She, like Marshal soon finds herself hopelessly in love, though she thinks her background and her talent will drive Marshal away. Their story has a few unexpected twists that will make you cry, leave you laughing and gasping, or gritting your teeth. Like I mentioned at the start….have a glass of ice water and maybe a fan handy as the sexy shenanigans these two indulge in will definitely raise your temperature!.

This was an enemies to lovers romantic suspense.

I loved this story and any book by this author really. The characters are relatable, well developed and draw the reader into their story. Highly recommend!

Danee Swann has worked for Naval Intelligence for the past 10 years using her unique skills to find thibgs. She approached Agile Security to help them find the Shumback violin which is worth a million dollars and was lost by their client.

Marshall Lake co-owner Agile Security with Luke the silent money partner. He is a former Marine. After a failed relationship with his former fiance he has locked down his emotions.

To find the missing violin they have to travel by company plans to California but have electronic problems and have to land in an abandoned military base in the middle of no where. They give in to their off the charts attraction and she later finds a kitten outside and adopts it. Once back on the road she leads him to the violin and he agrees to help her with her mission to find a man trying to destroy her hometown and her best friend's business. She ends up car napped, they have to go to a nudist resort and eventually get the bad guy and their HEA.

This is an dynamite story! The characters are dynamic, feisty, very unique with strong personalities. The storyline is well developed and well written. It has several twists and turns and surprises which make it a page-turner. It is explosive, dynamic, suspenseful and filled with non-stop danger. Danee is in need of a security firm to help her find someone who is a danger to her. Danee is a gentle soul, petite, determined and she has a special gift. What is her special gift? Marshall is alpha male, big and muscled, dangerous, volatile, cold and impersonal. Danee is willing to share some information with Marshall if he will help her. The characters in this story jump off the pages and get your heart thumping, your body tingling and put very crazy. The main characters make the story come to life - a little sweet, a little crazy and a lot of spice. You will feel the sizzle, the steam, the passion and the heat. They are hot, sexy, passionate. It makes for a truly dynamite read!!.

Marshall Lake has appeared in all the previous Agile Security books. We know he's the boss, a little (or a lot) snarky, and a commitment phobe among other things. Having Danee Swann's offer to help solve a case in return for help from his team on another does not sit well with him. Unfortunately, his silent partner, Luke has other ideas. One thing's for sure Danee has gotten under Marshall's skin and is worming her way into his cold, dead, broken heart. Despite her youthful appearance, she has a wealth of experience under her belt as well as some very real personal trauma. But, there's something about Marshall that makes her trust him even if he doesn't fully trust her. Along the way these two encounter an abandoned cat who takes a shine to Danee, a teenager whose plight will tug at your heartstrings and a foray into the world of nudists as they recover a prizd possession and ferret out a dangerous criminal. Both of their pasts rise up to surprise them. Marshall and Danee find love and trust as they move toward a future together.

This is the seventh book in the Agile Rescue & Security series. It's connected to the other books so you will see past characters but it can be enjoyed as a standalone. Buckle up and prepare for a wild ride, Marshall and Danee's story will have you turning pages to the very end. I couldn't put it down. Marshall walled up his heart and lost interest in women when his fiancée left him at the alter. Danee needs help and hopes that Agile will help her if she helps them. She's hoping to complete her mission, save a lot of people and give her a chance to find some peace. They both have trust issues but the attraction between them is explosive. A dominate protective man, a strong sassy woman, with a bit of angsty and suspense and enough heat to make your tablet smoke, what's not to love about this book. Hoping to see more books in the series.

Guarding Secrets is a suspenseful romance. I enjoyed reading an additional story in Jenna Gunn's Agile Security & Rescue series. Book 7 adds to the growing family in the Agile Security & Rescue family.

Marshall Lake has poured his life and soul into his company, Agile Security & Rescue. His co-owner and friend agrees to a trade of services instead of money. Marshall is not happy about the agreement.

Danee Swann has spent her life in hiding. When her hometown and friends face trouble times, she approaches Agile Security & Rescue to assist her in quest to help those close to her. Danee has a special gift that is hard for others to accept.

Marshall and Danee are paired up to solve a case. Danee has to prove her worth to Marshall. Marshall is unwilling to accept Danee's gift as real. Once their journey begins, they both have to learn to accept the challenges ahead.

I LOVE Jenna Gunn’s Stories!
I’ve been a huge fan of Jenna Gunn’s work ever since I got my hot little hands on the first Strong Family book over a year ago. Her Agile Security series - a spinoff of the lineup I love so much that I’ve read all of them at least twice - is so sexy that I gobble them up as soon as I can. In “Guarding Secrets,” we dive into Marshall’s world once again, and I am here for every minute of it. The CEO of Agile Security is jaded, hard, and utterly delicious. At first glance, it would seem that the young, beautiful, and mysterious Danee is far too different for them to ever be compatible, but let me tell you the chemistry practically sizzled from my Kindle as I read. This story has all the heat, suspense, and banter we could want, and Ms. Gunn absolutely made Marshall every bit of the hot-as-heck alpha hero I thought he’d be. Swoony and positively panty-melting work!

Guarding Secrets is part of the Agile Security and Rescue series, but can be read as a standalone. Marshall Lake is the enigmatic leader of Agile Security. After being left at the alter, he is weary to trust. Especially someone like Danee Swann, who is offering to help with his case in order for the company's help finding a missing person. Her background says she's a former Navy Special Intelligence Officer, but he just knows she's keeping secrets. Their instant chemistry knocks them both for a loop. Neither is looking for a relationship, but when the job forces them together, can they fight it? As the job takes an unexpected turn, will they be able to trust each other with their secrets. This was a sexy book, with a dirty talking, alpha male. Throw in some suspense and this was an quick, fun read.

Wow! What a story! This will have you hot under the collar from the very start! Danee is on a mission to help her best friend, but needs the help of Agile Security, where she meets one of the owners, Marshall. There is an instant connection between them when they meet, however Marshall decides he isn’t interested, he has been hurt enough in the past by women. The more time they spend together the more the sparks between them fly, until they give into their feelings. However with danger, ex-girlfriends and kidnapping, it is far from smooth sailing for either of them. A fantastic book that you really won’t want to leave down! Amazing characters, a gripping storyline, hot, steamy passion, humour and a fantastic ending, you definitely won’t be disappointed with this one. Loved it!.

When Marshall walks in to his friend office he meets Danee for the first time. His first impression is not happening. He doesnt want to help but finally agrees. The chemistry he feels towards her knocks him off his feet. Hes hasnt felt this attracted to someone since his Ex Vanessa. But can he let her in. Danee agrees to help them only then to get Agiles help herself. She goes with Marshall and when he finds what he needs hes of to help Danee.. Now she doent know if she should let him shes never felt an attraction to a man. Marshall is so demanding and dominent. These two were AMAZING I think out of all them these two are now my favorite. The chemistry is off the charts HOT, I laughed and I cried. AMAZING.

Story to Savor.
This is the type of story you want to hurry and read all its goodies but yet you want to savor each scene. The title is perfect for CEO of Agile Security, Marshall Lake to take on a personal mission from his silent partner and best friend Luke, Guarding Secrets and you find out why in the reading. We dive into both Marshall and Danee Swan’s character and backstory. Both tragic in their own way that shape their lives. Comedic. Heartbreaking sob moments. Many great lines. The story is beautiful, adventurous, romantic, sexy, endearing and riveting. The action scenes is stellar and the sexy scenes are stimulating. Loved reading from this author. Highly recommended.

Wow, loved these two. Absolutely fiery!
Danee needed help but knew she could help the Agile security team find something, but she met a lot of resistance from owner, Marshall.
I really enjoyed these two, they were just fiesty, combative but asexually charged and got for each other. I loved the Dom factor in the relationship which only added to the explosive and fun of these two.
Well written with great character and funny situations that while making the story intense also made for a great plot. Great work Jenna!!.

If you are a fan of the Agile Security and Rescue series, then you have probably been eagerly anticipating Marshall’s story. Jenna Gunn has made this novel well worth our wait by cranking up the heat higher than her previous books! We knew Marshall was a strong, commanding, serious type, but we find out he is also dominant in more ways than imagined.
Guarding Secrets has everything you could possibly want in an action romance story. The characters are strong, independent, and have an explosively hot attraction to each other. The strong storyline includes page-burning romance, mystery, danger, angst, and a heartwarming ending that makes you want to clap.

I have been waiting for Marshall's book since Vanessa left him at the altar. Jenna Gunn doesn't disappoint with this quick moving, exciting installment of the Agile Security and Rescue Series.

Danee and Marshall have enough tension and chemistry to set your Kindle on fire. The heat level is scalding.

The story combines Danee's special gifts with the Agile Team's tactical expertise to solve more than one case, all while losing their hearts to one another.

There are as many heart-wrenching moments as there is steam between the two main characters. I highly recommend checking out the rest of the Agile Team's books. These alpha heroes give me all the feels.

I love her books. This story is about Danee Swann who worked at OAIT and Marshall Lake the boss of Agile Security and Rescue. Danee offers a deal that she will lead them to the Shumbach Violin if they help her find someone who is going to ruin thousands of lives. Marshall is suspiciously guarded about her help and also strangely attracted her, so he drags her to retrieve the violin with his team. Will he help her? What occurs is another suspenseful, intriguing, twist and turns, action-filled, romantic story with "very likable characters" that I totally enjoyed while I read. This engaging story that I received and volunteer to read and review is another great story to this series I love.

Marshall and Danee ignite the air around them the moment they meet. Danee holds secrets and Marshall resents the way she affects him. But as soon as Danee leads him to find the precious violin that has eluded his team, Marshall knows he wants Danee. To help her find her target, they go through some adventure together. The suspense is intriguing. Marshall and Danee are interesting and complex characters. The chemistry between the two is so hot I can feel it through the eReader. It is fascinating to have a dominate bossy man giving in to a shy southern woman with special ability (therefore she was called wizard in Navy). I love this story.

Wow this book was absolutely phenomenal and is filled with suspense and action packed and chemistry and romance and letting go of your past.marshall is working non stop with Agile security and rescue and when his partner Luke has a new client but will Marshall agree to it? Daniel is ex navy intelligence and needs Agile help but will she get through to Marshall so he will help? The chemistry is off the charts between them but can Marshall let go of his past relationship that left him cold to women and relationships? But when Danee is taken can he and his team save her in time?.

Simply loved this couple, strained beginnings but as usual great character chemistry works so well giving the reader a fantastic adventure filled with a great balance of mystery, humour, alpha male attention, amazing sexual moments between our primary characters and that whole feeling of being cherished and wanted. Even though it is the 7th title in the Agile Security & Rescue series not having read any of the previous titles I was able to successfully navigate this book but certainly will be adding the others to my ever growing TBR list.

Marshall Lake is annoyed! His silent partner has accepted Danee Swann as a client but would like to trade in lieu of payment. Danee is a remote viewer and working for the Navy, gave her a place to use the gift she’s been ridiculed for most of her life. And she happens to know where a valuable piece Marsh and his team have been charged to find and have no idea where to look for it in exchange for them helping her but she’s not clear on what her request will be. So not a fan of this outing. Neither lead satisfied my taste, which of course made the pacing and storyline move too slowly.

Not the same

Marshall and Danee. An explosive chemistry and an odd case bring these two together. The paranormal or gifted angle was new for this series, but added an element that was perfect for the leader of the team. Luke, the silent benefactor, was introduced and he was a hoot. Oscar and Keller stole my heart so their role in the ending was perfection. I wish the storyline with Vanessa was a bit more developed because wow that was shocking. The tease of Dozer and Candy has me wanting more, especially the tarot cards! One of the more entertaining stories and fully developed with humor action and romance!

Ohhh wow what a great book I think the Agile Security & Rescue is a fantastic series. you are glued to the story and book from start to finish. The story of Marshall and Danee is great there's everything from suspense, danger, chemistry and attraction right from the start, not to mention the steamy and hot scenes. Jenna Gunn has written a story that you can completely disappear into. This book and this series is 100% recommended, very much worth it!.

Guarding Secrets is the latest book of the awesome Agile Security & Rescue series and it's one of my favorites. Agency owner Marshall and client Danee have major chemistry in this sexy, riveting, fast paced, romantic suspense story. She's helping them out with a job and in return he is going to help her find someone, something he's none too happy about because he actually wants to refuse the deal. Nothing about Danee adds up for him but he can't deny the the sparks between them and it isn't long before they explode into a burning passion. The writing is great and so are the characters. I loved getting to know Marshall with his big personality and his dominance. So hot!
