This is a good resource. As a mother of a cheerleader it was helpful to me to better understand how to support her efforts. Its well presented the only drawback is that the photos are in black and white and would be better in color tips were hlpeful the resources at the end were helpful
This book is a very great book to read especially if you are just getting into the sport of cheerleading. The book explains how to get into the sport as a cheerleader and also explains how to start a team as a coach. It explains the five types of teams you can create as a coach and join as a cheerleader. Although this is a great book to read if you are interested in learning about the sport, some of the stunts and techniques are not used in every program. Another thing to note is that some of the motions, techniques for stunting, and jumps are not commonly used anymore, since this book was copyrighted in 2003. Otherwise the book is very well explained and covers basic stunts, cheers, dances, and pyramids. It shows the fundamentals of what you should expect going into the sport. The book also teaches coaches how to build up a routine to show at competitions. Overall the book teaches you how to build up your skills from rock bottom and shows you how to become a better and stronger cheerleader.
Personally I liked this book. I am aspiring cheerleader and it taught me the basic moves and jumps.Although it is mostly for coaches I would recommend it.
