Translated in English from Odia by Manoranjan Mishra, this Sahitya Akademi award collection of thirteen stories is a take on the poverty and exploitation of the poor from Western Orissa. Some of the stories explore the inherent contradictions of human nature while some have futile chase of illusionary dream as the central theme.
