It was really cool to see some of the things that happen during pregnancy. It was also a great resource for my husband to see some of the days to be more involved in the pregnancy.
This is a great book, but my five-star review is more for the experience of reading it rather than the actual content. Although the pictures alone are worth the purchase. They are amazing!
The day-by-day design makes it a great “devotional” during pregnancy. It allowed me to take it one day at a time and see the progress in close detail, which is a nice counterpart to shorter, more condense books on pregnancy. And it’s so cool to see exactly what the baby looks like in each week.
It’s super easy to read, educational, and filled with fantastic pictures and diagrams. If you’re an avid reader or researcher like me, it’s the perfect purchase for your pregnancy!
This was the third book I read as part of my pregnancy prep (full list below). I found the organization of this book to be confusing and awkward. In theory, I liked the idea of knowing what was happening each day. But in reality, some topics should have been addressed much sooner than they were. I had the benefit of having read two other books before starting this one, so I was already informed and expecting to learn about those topics in this book but had to seek them out.

My husband sat down and read this each week of my pregnancy. We loved the high quality images of what was going on in the womb and the updates on development. This book will always have an important place on our bookshelf and in our hearts.
I think this book is British but adapted for American audiences so some of the OB healthcare related info isn’t applicable to American reader.
