Luke Jermay describes his latest thoughts about mentalism, mental magic, and bizarre magic. Jermay discusses things from how to connect with an audience clearly to pickpockets' pychic "grift sense" which allows them to always know what pocket has what without checking before pickpocketing someone. The book is very interesting, but more focused on Jermay's thoughts and opinions than actual substantial material.
I learned about a mystic's healing ring, which can protect the bearer from harm such as scars, kind of like the mystic's tea that Angelina Jolie drinks in Tomb Raider, pickpocket's pyschic "grift sense," telepathy, strange coincidences no one ever notices, and how psychics use "pyschic blackjack" to hone their skills.
The book is interesting but overall has very little substance to it, so I don't really recommend it.
Luke Jermay is one of the most creative minds in mentalism I've come across. He not only develops new effects but new ways of approaching the art all together. The essays in this book are priceless and the effects are the things that will take your performances to the next level.
