Big George: The Autobiography of an Angel by James Jennings. Hardcover. Published by Hay House, Inc, Carlsbad, CA. ©1996. 135 pages.

A sweet book powerfully touched by the innocence of angels, the presence of Jesus and the wisdom of God. Narrated by a most aware baby angel in an incubator who rests his faith in God and unconditional love, for only love is the answer. Highly recommend.

This book is a special one. I had twins that were in the NICU for 1 and 2 days before they passed. This book helped me remember how truly real they are and that they were here for a purpose. I loved this book. It was good for my soul.

I love this book. I read it first years ago after the birth of my premature son. The book though “preachy” has one simple message, love each other. Through the story of an angel, you get a heartfelt message about love, hope and loss.

While not a Christian (I am either agnostic or athiestic), I still enjoyed this slim volume. Definetly a high point of Christian fiction.

As a new grad NICU nurse, this book touched my soul. I am honored to work in this field with these precious angels. This story had me crying all through it! A must read, especially if you’re personally involved in the NICU!

I read this entire book while on a plane ride from LA to Hawaii in May 1995. It is perhaps THE most powerful book I have ever read in that I was moved so deeply as to change my mind about becoming a Mom. I went to a church service at a Unity Church that weekend. It was Mother's Day, and my prayer request was simply that God bless me with a child, if it be His Will. Fortunately, I was on that trip to visit my then husband who was there on business. We talked about it AFTER my request (he is 11 years older and already had 3 grown children.) We waited 1 month for the birth control pills I had been taking to clear my system and by the end of June, I knew I was pregnant with my daughter, Elizabeth, now 17 years old. This is book a must read. I hope I can find it again as I have had to start over a number times since then and have lost, sold or given away many books. I may have given this one to a friend who lost her young son (age 7) when my daughter was just 3. That boy would have graduated high school by now. Life is tough at times, but as I have been reminded twice today: "It's just life." and it is better than the alternative.

An inspirational book of only 135 pages, but the message is very clear. Two newborns are fighting for their lives as they lay next to each other in a neonatal intensive care center. Each family has a different set of environment and circumstances. One baby is an angel in disguise sent to do his Heavenly Father's bidding. The families are drawn toghether as they offer love and care to both babies. I remember reading this book and was so touched in the heart by the loving message in this book. It is endearing, and gives you hope.

I don't remember when I first came across this book but I've kept it ever since. It is written in the voice of an angel ready to bring God's love to earth. You fall in love with the main character, Big George and it is one of those books where it teaches you to look at life as a precious gift (which might be filled with some ups and downs) and to never lose faith. Faith is all around us and you just have to believe. A great book that everyone should read once.

What a great book narrated by a sweet little angel baby. A great reminder that "nothing brings greater happiness than love."

I read this book when I was pregnant with my 1st son almost 17 years ago. I think of it often. It made a big impact on me. I then bought the book for several family members. :) Love it!

An inspirational book, one immediately connects with the main character and angel, "Big George." He did his bidding though. The truth being love gives one hope. Worth a read!
