The version I read was published under the name of "The Square Circle".
There was far too many characters that I lost track of who was who about halfway through, and it didn't matter anyway cause most stayed in the background. The secondary characters had strange motivations that seemed to be just badly explained politics. And the main characters were one dimensional, with little thought or feeling and not very likeable. The plot was predictable, and when I found out afterwards it was only wrote to tie-in with the film, I wasn't surprised.
