Too much wine and book club text chats are asking for trouble!
Especially when everyone in the chat is single and Valentine’s Day is looming over us like a neon sign to remind us of how alone we are. But then something happens, one of the girl’s suggests we do something out of our comfort zone for the hearts and flowers driven holiday.

In theory, it sounds great! In a stroke of drunk brilliance, I schedule a boudoir photo shoot. I book the photographer, flight and hotel in order not to chicken out.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Zach meets Mandy when she goes to have her photo taken from his sister Riley. Mandy mistakes Zach for Riley and he doesn't correct her. After Mandy asks Zach some questions about her clothing and then where he wants her she figures out that Zach isn't Riley. Mandy doesn't tell Zach that she knows he's not Riley she is waiting for him to tell her. Zach goes through and makes Mandy do different poses and even change outfits. Finally Zach ends the photo session and Mandy changes back into her clothes, she tells him she'll get going. Zach approaches her and she thinks he's going to kiss her but he doesn't. Mandy assumes Zach had enough of her but then he comes up to her and tells her to breath. Zach tells her he didn't want to make her uncomfortable. She tell him she didn't then he confesses he wanted to kiss her. Zach starts to confess to her that he's not Riley but she tells him she already knows he's not. Zach tells Mandy that Riley is his sister and she had an emergency she needed to go to. Mandy asks him if he's married or has a girlfriend but he tells her no. Zach asks Mandy to give him her number so that they can reschedule her photo shoot. When Mandy goes to leave Zach doesn't want her to so he asks if he can give her a ride. She tells him she'd love that and then he asks him once she checks into the motel if he can take her to lunch. When they get to the motel there's a mix up with Mandy's reservations and they overbooked. Zach overhears and asks Mandy if she'd like to stay with him, he's got two guest bedrooms and a small pool house she can stay in. Zach walks Mandy back to his truck when her phone rings, he tells her to answer it while he goes and grabs them some water and snacks. When Zach comes back Mandy is finished with her conversation. Mandy asks Zach for his ID, she's going to send his information to her friend. Mandy makes Zach a deal and he gives in. When they arrive at Zach's home he shows her to her room and Mandy puts on more comfortable clothes and gets cleaned up, then he makes them lunch. Zach sets Mandy up on his counter, and asks her if he can kiss her. As they kiss Mandy tries to take Zach's shirt off, he finally gives in. Then Mandy's stomach growls and he tells her they should eat. After they eat Zach takes Mandy back into town to walk around Lover's Lane Festival. Then Zach takes Mandy out to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. They go back to Zach's home exhausted, he suggest they watch a movie and they soon fall asleep. Mandy wakes up wrapped up in Zach, and she begins to kiss him. Zach wakes up and tells her she can touch him. Mandy is soon pleasuring Zach, then he's pleasuring her, then they make love. Afterwords Mandy realizes they didn't use protection and she starts to panic but Zach tries to calm her down. Mandy tells him they just met how can he be so calm, he tells her because she's his. Zach tells her to move in with him but she tells him she doesn't even live here. Then Mandy tells him he doesn't know her and he tells her he knows her enough. Zach's sister Riley finally catches up with him by calling him. Zach is trying to be quiet because Mandy's still asleep, he sneaks out of the bedroom and goes to the living room. Zach's sister Riley finally figures out that he loves Mandy. Zach hears footsteps and looks to find Mandy walking into the kitchen. Zach tells her his sister wants to know if she's ready to reschedule, Mandy agrees. After Mandy's session with Riley Zach and her spend the rest of the time together. Sunday night Mandy can't sleep, she knows she'll be getting up early to head off to the airport. Mandy tells him she doesn't know how they'll work, Zach assures her he'll be coming to see her next weekend. When Mandy wakes the next day Zach is gone only a note is left by her phone. Mandy calls an Uber and leaves with a broken heart. Zach finds out that Mandy landed home safe but when he tries to call her she doesn't answer. Zach gets Mandy's address from his sister and goes to see Mandy. When Zach knocks on her door she answers and he can sees she's been crying. Mandy asks him what he's doing there, he tells her its Valentines Day. Zach walks into her apartment picks her up and carried her to the couch. Zach tells her she didn't answer his calls and she tells him he left. Zach ask her if she's been crying and Mandy tells him she missed him. Zach tells her he's falling in love with her, she tells him she's scared. Mandy tells him this is crazy but she loves him too. Then they kiss, and soon make love, life wasn’t easy, and love, real love, was hard to find. Almost a year later, Mandy finishes another book club chat. They'd done the long distance for two months, then Zach showed up with a moving truck. Zach told Mandy it didn't matter if she went to live with him or he moved in with her. Zach was done with the long distance, Mandy laughed and told him to start helping her pack. Zach gave Mandy a ring the first night they spend together in their home. Risking it all that weekend almost a year ago had been the best decision Mandy ever made.

Mandy and her book club friends make a Galentine’s day challenge. They must all do something outside their comfort zone. Mandy decides to do a boudoir photo shoot with a professional photographer, Riley Barlow. When she gets to town she gets her hair and makeup done and is heading to Riley’s studio when she spots a lingerie store where she buys some more sexy outfits.
Riley has had an emergency come up and asks her brother Zach to let Mandy know she’s sorry and will contact her to reschedule.
Zach has been feeling a little down and lonely, he just turned 40 and would love to find his one and settle down. When Mandy enters the studio he knows he’s found her. His baby girl has arrived. She mistakes him for Riley for a moment until he doesn’t know about the things Mandy and Riley had already talked about.
But he is smoking hot and she feels safe with him, so she goes along with the pretending to be Riley. He is stunned by her beauty and can’t believe he is pretending to be Riley in order to stay near her and see her in all that sexy lingerie. He takes a few pictures of her but it’s more like foreplay than a photo shoot.
When things get real hot he puts a stop to it because he has lied to her about his real identity. She thinks he’s not interested. He clears that up and apologize for pretending to be Riley, she forgives him. He offers to take her to her hotel, it’s double booked and they don’t have a room for her. Zach offers her a room at his house. She agrees and they go to his place where they have sexy times. Lots of Daddy and baby girl talk. She stays the weekend, when she wakes up the day she’s leaving and finds Zach gone she worries that this is his thing, hooking up with tourists. He’s upset she left and hasn’t responded to him, he goes to her and they talk. Lots of I love yous and an epilogue where they decide to try doing the long distance thing but eventually Mandy moves to Beech Grove.

The Galentine Girls series! Mandy’s story! Making her pact with her club for Valentine’s Day Mandy decides she is going to do a boudoir shoot. With liquid courage she goes online and makes her appointment. Waking up the next morning she sees her confirmation emails and decides she’s going to do it. When she shows up for her appointment she meets the photographer and knows that something is not right but she’s not scared she’s intrigued. Using her courage she decides to charge forward and make the most of her pact. So she’s going to start by getting those pictures with a little wardrobe help from the hot photographer!

She can't miss! The way this story developed was so spot on. It gave you the angst without feeling anxious. I can really appreciate it.
Mandy was a super shy person, not willing to take chances. Until a drunken book club meeting and a dare that sent her on a plane to a boudoir photo shoot. I'm big on meet cute and Mandy meeting Zach was a classic. Yes, he should have told the truth but that red hair and lingerie did something to him.
Daddy Zach was top tier and went after his woman. Loved every moment with Mandy and Zach!

Outstanding! I loved Zach and Mandy's instant attraction and romance. I like a good long story as much as the next reader, but these shorter stories mean that you get all the action and attraction right off the bat. I really want the supporting characters' stories like Tootsie's and Riley and Jay's. My favorite quote came from Mandy: He was my home and his heart was my favorite song. I reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

I received this as an arc and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was a really good age gap romance. It was my first book by this author and I liked the writing style. The story was sweet, humorous and had a lot of steam. Mandy and Zach had chemistry right from the start and I liked how little drama the story had. I wouldn’t hesitate reading another book by this author.

I absolutely love the newest book in the Galentine's Chronicle series. Mandy is our newest gal to try something new when she goes for her boudoir shoot and meets Zach, the photographers brother. These two have such a great story, and I love how they get together in the end. Mayra is one of my favorite authors, and she always gives us incredible stories and characters.

love the cover…
I’m a big fan of MS books. This book was no exception. Zach was so mesmerized with Mandy that he pretended to be his own sister to spend time with Mandy. Super clever but Mandy already knew the truth. The ending was cute as hell, but I thought there would be mention of a baby 😩

Cute with some unexpected depth
This was another cute addition to the series, and with some unexpected depth. I'll be honest, D/lg isn't really my thing, but I really enjoyed the connection between Zach and Maggie. I also liked that Maggie knew he wasn't Riley, and he tried to correct her (otherwise, it could very easily have felt creepy).
This was another cute addition to the series, and with some unexpected depth. I'll be honest, D/lg isn't really my thing, but I really enjoyed the connection between Zach and Maggie. I also liked that Maggie knew he wasn't Riley, and he tried to correct her (otherwise, it could very easily have felt creepy).

Dang, this was so good. Mayra can write! The quality of detail & perfect plot progression packed into it leaves you feeling super satisfied. As does the super hot action 😉. Daddy k*nk is definitely my catnip. Read this in KU but will be purchasing to own.

This was good. I didn’t realize 40 was old but okay. I am not a fan of the DADDY play it is kind of creepy to me but whatever floats your boat. I thought this was good nonetheless.

A charming idea
I like the idea of this Galentine series. Mandy and Zach are cute enough as a couple, but Mandy is rather bland. The storyline holds promise but loses a star for poor editing.

couldn’t finish
I couldn’t finish this book. I really liked the writing (which is why I went ahead and gave it 4 stars) but once it started with the Daddy stuff I just couldn’t keep reading. Too much of an ick factor for me. I’m sure other readers will enjoy it, just not my thing.

So Good
This one is definitely a reread! Could not put it down ladies. It is sweet, romantic, funny, and crazy as they come. Both characters feed off the other for a very comedic effect. The older man wins again.
