2d printing (1935), but Signed by Maxwell Anderson twice! Regretfully, not a first printing -- but inscribed on the half-title by Anderson to Hollywood screenwriter Frank Partos, who shared an Academy Award nomination for "The Snake Pit" (1948). Maxwell signs a second time on the title page. The book itself is in very good interior is clean and tight; the binding has no tears or chips, and only slight wear at corners. However, there is some light fading along the edges and spine. The jacket is only not price-clipped but with a 1" open tear at top front and 3" closed tear on back, smaller nicks and chips on both top and bottom edges. But let's face it, it's the provenance you are buying here.
