Brilliant chemist Tamara Chen can't believe the wild desire she feels for ex-Delta Force operative Nate Pratchett, especially with their lives on the line. But his strong body offers her the comfort she needs during this insane period—when she, Nate and his team are wanted, dead or alive.

Nate knows he's stealing pleasure with sweet Tam on borrowed time. They're just a step ahead of their enemies, and as commander it's Nate's job to keep them all safe—not spend every spare moment making love with Tam.

aka Samantha Beckett

Jolie Kramer began her career in 1975 as a reader in the Comedy Development department for 20th-Century Fox. She left Fox in 1977 to go on location with THE DEER HUNTER. She then worked as an auditor, associate producer and producer on such projects as WHEN SHE SAYS NO for CBS, BEULAH LAND for NBC, GREAT AMERICAN TRAFFIC JAM for NBC and CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR for Jozak Productions. In 1987 she became head of development for the McCarran Film Corp., overseeing a roster of twelve feature films. As a screen writer, she’s had a series idea purchased by Cinemax, and has worked as a script consultant on more than 50 screenplays. Currently, her screenplay APACHE TEARS was optioned by Northern Lights Productions in Canada.

Jo Leigh's first Silhouette novel, SUSPECT, was awarded BEST FIRST SERIES BOOK by Romantic Times Magazine, garnered the 1994 ROMANCE WRITER OF THE YEAR award from Pike’s Peak RWA, and was a finalist for BEST ROMANTIC SUSPENSE NOVEL OF 1994 by Romance Writers of America. Her first Temptation novel, ONE WICKED NIGHT was a finalist for BEST SHORT CONTEMPORARY NOVEL OF 1998 by Romance Writers of America. Jo teaches writing at workshops across the country and on-line, and is a frequent guest speaker at writing conferences. Her tape on Advanced Plotting from the Dallas Romance Writers of America conference is the best selling tape in RWA’s history.

Jo lives in an incredibly rural area of Utah where her many rescue dogs have room to run and play and her rescue cats are determined to win the International Shedding Award. She spends an inordinate amount of time reading about how the brain works, listening to music and trying not to kill the basil.

Jo's husband died of cancer on 13 June 2008, three years after they married, and whose medical bills are astronomical. Authors, editors, and bloggers have all donated a mess of items, from books to critiques to mentoring sessions to offer an item for the auction to benefit author Jo Leigh.

Chemist Tamara Chen has been living a nightmare for the past two years. Taking a good paying Government job in Kosovo seemed like a great idea, until she found out that the Government had them creating a chemical weapon that could kill thousands. Now she is working with some ex-Delta Force operatives to find an antidote and uncover who is behind the scheme. Nate Pratchett is leading their team. When Tam's laboratory is discovered, Nate gets her out. Now they must stay alive and bring down a group of CIA operatives who want them dead.

This is the final book in Jo Leigh's "In Too Deep" series. There is a lot of action in this book. The team is finally all together, hashing out their plan to recover the chemical bombs and uncover the man behind the scheme. I liked this part of the story. I wasn't as crazy about the romance. It just didn't feel right. And, with all of the characters from past books appearing in this one, it just seemed to crowded with point-of-views. My rating: 2.5 Stars.

This was the conclusion to the much anticipated In Too Deep series by Jo Leigh. It was technically the fourth book in the series beginning from the story “Closer”. “Reckoning” was a story so beautiful and profound that I thought it deserved to be on film. To say that I liked it very much was seriously the understatement of the year! What words to describe my feelings for this series? I was enthralled…mesmerized…no, no wait…captivated would be more apt description for it. I was reluctant to part with it if truth be told. Gosh, I wish I could just meet Jo Leigh in person and tell her myself about what I thought of her series.

The storyline was commonly used enough for plots in other books, but it stood on its own from the beginning book. I would say that the characters were a big part of this series that made it quite unique from other storyline. Even if they were in the starring role or playing secondary role, they were all endearing in their small kind of way, especially Cade Huston who played a small role in this series but made a huge impact in the telling of the story. His sacrifice would be indelibly etched in my mind.

Delta Force Commander Nate Pratchett played the major role in this story together with Chemist Tamara Chen. Although reading bits and pieces about Nate in the previous stories of the series, his perspective was finally disclosed in this culminating tale of suspense, danger, honor and love. His character in the story was beautiful to watch. He was portrayed as the leader of the pack. He was the one they call when crisis arises. He was expected to patch everything, have an answer to any questions, and resolve all conflicts. I could only imagine the pressure he must be in as the commander. And he had to lead a mission that they have had to accomplish if they wanted to be free to live and come out of their hiding. It seriously sucks living under the radar.

Tamara Chen, the brilliant half-Asian Chemist, who held the key to their mission, was the woman who could keep Nate from balking under pressure. I thought the saying “Behind every man’s success is a woman” could very well be applied to them. She was the one who kept Nate’s head on his shoulders. And Tamara needed him as much before she completely lost her mind altogether.

The secondary characters namely Boone and Christie (Closer), Vince and Kate (Relentless), Seth and Harper (Release) and Cade Huston, albeit were all cast as minor roles but have all played a major part of this story. It was so amazing reading about their easy camaraderie and obvious love that they have for one another. Friendship for life!

This story was just so marvelous! Suspense, drama, humor and erotic romance all rolled into one. Who could ask for more? I definitely think it deserve to be made into a movie!

This story should be part three of one book rather than last in a series. It felt like I was jumping into the middle of a plot. Even the romance seemed like it was missing the beginning and I never identified with the characters. I skimmed the last half. Nate gets chemist Tam out of a laboratory that has just blown up.

HBZ #313 = 5+ stars

Oh my Gosh! This was a very good book and, although it was a Blaze, I thought it read more like a Romantic Suspense novel. This is the end of a 4 book series. Although I have 2 others I have not read them yet. So, that means I read the last one first. At least I know how everything shakes out. And what is up with putting teenagers on an adult book. They both look between 16 and 18, early 20's if you are generous. I thought I read, or got the idea, that they were both in their late 20's or early 30's.

To get the most out of reading this novel, you should read the entire series, but if you are hunting specifically for an IR novel, you can get away with reading this alone. Nate and Tamara finally get together and they make a really nice couple. It wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped, not exactly sure why...maybe because I was so looking forward to it. But still, a good read and closer to a 3.5 stars.

This is the final book in a four part series... I couldnt put it down. Great plot, great characters and lots of romance and sex. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for more than sex scenes in a book, this had suspense, drama and a few tears.. Gave it a Five...

Overall it was a really cute book, though I wish there was a little more to the ending (it just seemed a little too short), but oh well. I really like it.

I had to skim this one to finish it. The final ending of the nerve gas conspiracy was satisfying, though.

My favorite of the series. I thought the ending for Nate and Tam was a little rushed.
