An agent of Perry Rhodan gets murdered. He manages to send a secret code that Earth is in Danger. And Fellmer Lloyd is the man to investigate.

Not really bad. But also not really good. Turns out that two of Rhodan’s mutants are causing trouble. They do have reason to hate the Peace Lord. For he denied them the life-prolonging procedure on Wanderer.

Just think about what one could do with such a premise. All your friends and colleagues get to be immortal, but Rhodan, in his wisdom decides that you are unworthy! And considering this the action is rather lame.

Lets see how this will continue.

This very much felt like a fill-in. I previously unmentioned mutant gets killed, but leaves a message of high alert, so a different previously unmentioned mutant goes to investigate.

He finds a couple cast offs from when the Mutant Master tried to take over who are trying to blackmail Perry to get immortality from the Wanderer.

This was another action-based story, and while it did have some interesting aliens, it mostly fell flat. Fellmer Lloyd is a pretty generic character, and it doesn't feel like we'll see him again after this adventure. It was nice to finally have Bell 'on screen' at least, even if it was just as a secretary.

I'm definitely ready for the 'oh no what if the galaxy finds us' angst to be done and to move on to the inevitable battle with whoever finds them.

Worse, the story wasn't resolved, so next book (or maybe next Kurt Brand book) will likely be more of the same.

Cosmos continues to trudge along, this time a chapter by A. Merritt that seems to have nothing to do with the rest. The shock shorts were nothing to write home about either, the 1 pages didn't make sense and the longer one was just a Hulk story with a thin veneer of sci fi.

Do not remember the solo mutant in this book from his previous adventure, but I like the new native aliens that he works with.
