Not a good way to start out my 2016 reading. I found this at the library and was interested in the time travel aspect. Was expecting more to happen with the fact that he was a sheriff - that there would be more to the mystery, that he would have to track bad guys, etc.
I absolutely cannot believe that a pregnant woman in modern times would pick up a homeless guy off the beach to pretend to be her husband. And then drive several hours out of town with him. That was the most interesting thing that happened!
He was a completely stupid hero who did nothing until the very end. And she wasn't much better as a heroine. The bad guys were whiney nothings, the evil cooking woman was just a red herring, even the good guys weren't all that interesting.
The time travel was too convoluted - and if the sisters (grandma and great auntie) were witches (or something?) who could control time travel then why didn't they know things like that Bernard was their brother? They seem to have picked George but it is not at all clear why. Apparently you need to read the first book to get all the motivation for this one. I can't be bothered.

Just not as tight as the first one. The ending of the series to explain all the time travel felt forced and tacked on to the romance. I was happier with the first one, which didn't need any explanation. Plus, the mystery of the photo was never explained!!!

A wonderfully written romantic times travel sequel to the first book. Melody and George meet mysteriously on a California beach. Melody offers George a job to act as her husband when she goes to visit her family in the Napa Valley. Follow along as the mysteries of this family unfold. Entertaining tale which I enjoyed.

I loved this book! This was my 2nd time reading it.

Migration from a really good first novel to some overused time travel cliches. It was a dis appointment after the first one. Can't comment on the wine making but seemed simplistic for all the pages spent on it. Glad it was only two stories in the series.

This book was foolish. One of those, "read it because there was nothing else" books. I laughed out loud at some of the things the lead male said.
