An excellent early chapter book for young readers 5+. Itty Bitty the Kitty is starting out on the new adventure of having her own people: Mum human, Dad human, a tail-puller, and best of all, her own human, Leo. Itty Bitty is small and cute but also really a tiger in disguise! In each story Itty Bitty faces a new challenge and is a brave kitten facing her fears and having new adventures.
This book has three stories, each with five chapters, just the right amount of reading for children starting out on independent reading. Itty Bitty Kitty is a step up from Sally Rippin's 'Billie B. Brown' and 'Hey Jack' and about on the same level as the 'Meet Ella' series by Rebecca McRitchie & Danielle.

This first collection of Itty Bitty Kitty stories is adorably funny. It features 3 stories about Itty Bitty that will have young readers laughing and going ‘awwww’ in equal measure. Maddy Mara has used simple language and short sentences which make these stories perfect for young readers who are just starting chapter books.

This book had three stories in one. It is about a kitten that once lived in a cat shelter. The family that adopted the kitten called it Itty Bitty. Itty Bitty thinks she can be as scary as a tiger but she’s actually just a cute little kitten.

My daughter adores this book. She loves the energy of this determined and bossy little kitten. The illustrations are fantastic.
Each book contains 3 adventures - while my daughter is an advanced reader she will still go back and read this series over and over.

This is the start of a really cute series told from the perspective of a kitten. Kids will LOVE this!! I'd probably give it a 4 for how much I enjoyed it, but I'll give it 5 because there are kids who are going to adore it and it will be a fabulous early reader, even up to grade 3 or 4 for struggling readers.
