A cute old fantasy children's book I pulled out to nudge my Reading Count to 50 books ;) didn't realize the author and publishing press are the same folks who did the Dragonology books, wah-hey! Buncha fun creatives over there who excel in this extremely expensive albeit enticing picturebook publishing field. All sorts of fun pop-out castles, knightheads, letters, and such to excite any young fantasy punk. Nothing super new to an old fantasy hat like me but good for a kid just learning.

An amazing book for children but an enjoyable read for adults.

Rating Update 4/5/2019- 4 stars to 3 stars. Some sections were stronger than others. I enjoyed the sections on heraldry and medieval history but other sections on training and equipment were boring.

Rating Update 5/16/19- 3 stars to 2 stars. After having reviewed all 15 pages, I counted a total of 33 stars (a minimum of 1 star and a maximum of 5 stars could be awarded to each page). Dividing the 33 stars by the 15 pages, the book averages 2.2 stars per page, which lowers the overall book rating to 2 stars.

Update
With the adoption of my new rating system, a two star rating is befitting. The original review and subsequent rating updates conform to the new rating system. The sections on the rules of chivalry and medieval history are minor compared to two star-rated sections and one star-rated sections that take up the majority of the book, hence the 2.2 star average rating calculated in the May 16, 2019, rating update. The one star-rated sections take up about a third or a quarter of the combined sections of two and one star-rated sections.

Bought this beautiful book for my 6 year old knight in training for Christmas. It's has very cool pop-ups and lift the flaps and other such diverting features. Very pretty artwork, engaging lessons on all one needs to know to become a knight. There's even a little game included with tiny little paper knights that stand up. Just gorgeous and a nice way to wind down for bedtime. I think it will appeal to young children like my 6 year old because of the popups and such and will also appeal to older children up to 15ish cos of the plentiful and interesting text.

a fun pop up book that throws some informational bits about the medieval times and knight hood itself. i like this book simply because i am intrigued by that alone. this might serve as a research book for a younger reader if he was doing a report on the medieval time period itself.
