Pike
Pike’s like no other made vampire in the world. He’s one of a kind and set apart from other’s like himself, but he’s also like any other good vampire in Wrightwood, California. He’s made up of all frogs and snails, and puppy-dog’s tails.
He’s intelligent, clever, cunning, with a boat load of morals and honorable goodness, mixed with the ability to be overpowering in the caring and loving department. But there’s another side, an additional side to all of this goodness too. He can be brutal, ruthless, vicious, and cruel. In which all of these qualities drip and ooze, leaks and seeps from every fiber of his being.
He has been gifted and endowed with unbelievable fortune. Missy is a beautiful woman who is the one and only true love of his life, and he can’t live without her. René is another beautiful woman who has been at his side for hundreds of years. And to top off the rest of the women in his life, is a human that has slammed herself into his world, where he has become overwhelmingly fond of her.
Pike’s world is lining up, going in the right direction according to his plans, intertwining in all the ways he has seen it in his mind, and everything is perfect, until all of his strengths and weaknesses crash together, and he releases his brutal and vicious side.
He loses his human girl forever, is insensitive to the one who has been at his side for his whole vampire life, and is callous to the love of his life, who betrays him in an act from which he will never be able to recover from it.

Pike is a vampire you love and admire throughout the whole series. If you have read all the books in the Embrace series, you know how he is. Pike is very loving, strong, and very possessive of Missy, the love of his life. Pike will do anything for Missy, which also includes all of the wolves in his life. He is also the one you would want at your back in any fight or just be your friend.
Missy is the one that keeps the house in order and loves Pike with all of her heart. She will soon be Pike's mate.
Pike and Missy are thrown into a twist that will rock their happy little home. Pike’s reaction to all of this is something unusual and not in his makeup or character and so different from the loving caring man we've always seen him to be.
Throughout the book I was on the edge of my seat and turning the pages to see what will be happening next. I found myself screaming, then on the next page I was crying, and then all of a sudden I would be smiling with happiness.
You have to read this book to find out what all happens to Pike and Missy. Their lives are twisting and turning with some very intense moments. Their journey is so worth reading until the end. You will be very surprised by the ending! GO now and get this book.
