This box set contains His Rule, Her Rebellion and Their Reign and makes up the complete Rite Trilogy, a Secret Society Dark Romance!
I live in a world where secrecy reigns.
A Society rooted in power, wealth, and long-held dynasties.
Where men are Kings, and women are pawns.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamt of escaping the shackles of my expectations.
But it can only ever be a dream.
I made a fatal mistake, and those shackles became a cage.
Now I’m trapped in a war with a man who controls my every move.
He’s my brother’s best friend.
My enemy, my tormentor, and my solace.
His words have the power to wound me.
His touch just might break me.
But this is his kingdom, and as long as I’m here I only have one choice.
I’ll play by his rules.
Note from the authors: The Rite Trilogy is set in the world of The Society. It is the story of Mercedes De La Rosa and Judge Montgomery. The trilogy can be read on its own, however, if you're new to The Society, it is recommended that you start with the first series of books in the world, The Society Trilogy.
Natasha Knight is the USA Today Bestselling author of Romantic Suspense and Dark Romance Novels. She has sold over a million books and is translated into six languages. She currently lives in The Netherlands with her husband and two daughters and when she’s not writing, she’s walking in the woods listening to a book, sitting in a corner reading or off exploring the world as often as she can get away.
Well I wanted to love it, but like the other previous trilogy, there just wasn’t enough groveling to make up for all the sh*t that Judge put Mercedes through. He never atoned for the Miriam thing, and countless other punishments that were unwarranted.
I hate this Sovereign Sons society! I agree with other readers who say it should be destroyed!

Ohhh what a ride! Explosive, suspenseful, these authors never disappoint with high energy, dark and gritty romance. The underbelly of the Mafia is their jam and they do it flawlessly!
This is Mercedes and Judge’s story and now we begin to get to know Mercedes story and things are not what they appear!
Just as I think the authors are going to take the story into a certain direction so I can get some answers...the authors cleverly throw a wrench and something else happens that had my jaw locked from it dropping so much. This is what suspenseful stories are all about. The whodunnit, the why? Who’s the real villain? Can Judge and Mercedes find happiness and love or will their complicated miscommunication lead to something darker!
I really enjoyed the build up, the thrills, the sexual tension and unexpected surprises between these characters. More importantly I enjoyed watching Judge redeem himself and Mercedes prove she’s a force to contend with.
Each installment ends in a massive cliffhanger, so the best way to enjoy this series is by reading all the books at once so you don’t miss anything!
BOOK 1: “You can submit. You just need someone to guide you.”
Mercedes is impulsive, spoiled and arrogant. Judge has been given ‘The Rite’ to tame her since she unalived a person. While Judge has done this before, he can’t fight his attraction to Mercedes. And since she likes to push buttons she makes it even harder.
I like how dominant and alpha Judge is and his punishments 👋. Mercedes has her own trauma which led to her behavior but in the end she is lonely and wants love. Some of her actions didn’t make sense where she is so desperate to run from Judge that she will do so naked through a forest with her hands bound, which means there is NO WAY she can escape. But then within hours she wants him to touch her in the bathtub.
BOOK 2: “I lose control with you. I don’t know how to keep you.” Mercedes has a lot of growth in this story as she looks behind her societal needs to what she wants. Judge is still struggling with himself and wanting to stay away but not being able to. While he can be frustrating I do love a dominant/possessive man 🔥
BOOK 3: “I’ve been so busy trying not to be someone that I don’t know who I am.” This book concludes Mercedes and Judge’s story. There were a lot of heartfelt scenes between so many characters that were written well. Seeing Santi and Mercedes reconnect, Judge addressing all his fears and the hints of Theron and Solana. I liked how Mercedes accepted her feelings for Judge and didn’t play unnecessary games. The labor scene was hilarious! Just wish there was an additional bonus scene but overall great story.
I must say, the women are much stronger than the men. All the men do to try and control them and punish them, these women make it through.and love them anyway. Mercedes was a bitch I admit but Judge was worse. She was so mean to Ivy, yet it was Ivy who forgave her before her own brother could. The ending of Mercedes and Judge’s story made me so happy. During the time that they were separated made me so sad for Judge but he did deserve it. I can’t wait for more from these two authors that tell more stories about the IVI.
I love Natasha Knight, however this trilogy was a complete miss, for me. I was enticed to listen to the audiobook because I enjoy the secret society trope. There was very little representation of that trope, instead the focus was on a toxic relationship between the MCs. The push and pull with these two was incessant, and ultimately became stale and redundant to the point where I DNF’d. at 55%. -
“If there was a zero-star option, I’d use it. Sometimes I seriously wonder what goes through the author’s mind when she writes scenes like this. The way the heroine is humiliated makes me feel like the author needs therapy more than anything else. This isn’t storytelling anymore—it’s straight-up sickness. Honestly, this isn’t even fiction, it’s emotional abuse disguised as a plot.”
4🌟 3🌶 This is a reread for me and what I absolutely love about these authors is their way with words and how they are able to build tension and suspense. when I read The Society Trilogy I really was mad at judge and Mercedes but leave it to these authors to make me read their story and work on me forgiving them . yes I am an emotional reader and Ivy & Santiago's story is one of my roman empires in Dark romance.. anyway in this book is understood how complex Judge and Mercedes were and how they were shaped by the environment they grew up in in. I'm especially happy that we got to see glimpses of Ivy & Santiago in this book and I'm glad Judge and Mercedes got their HEA. so if you like Secret society, Alpha and possessive hero as well as a feisty FMC then you will may like this . narrators absolutely killed it.
