Egyptian Temples

Rate this book
The work is a scholarly but readable account of the temples of Ancient Egypt which falls between the well-informed guide work and the enormous specialist tome. The work gives a good survey of the architecture, history and particularly details of each temple of any importance that exists, supplemented by helpful illustrations.

A great survey of extant Egyptian temples. It is particularly focused on architectural elements and goes into exhaustive detail in this respect. I was more interested from a historical and cultural perspective, and it does offer insight in this regard, though it is primarily an architectural study.
