Origami books of this kind are more of a can you do the patterns as much as a read book. So I did both, most of the patterns are readable, but would benefit from a few extra steps being shown on the more complicated ones.

The book has some beginner level folding but most is intermediate, and some advance- as you need to intuit some of the three dimensions coming together.

A really great book on making boxes though. Lots of variation!

The original Tomoko Fuse box book. You can't have one and not the other, so I recommend buying both this and Fabulous Origami Boxes.
