This is a unique book. It teaches public speaking skills to the layperson in the church. Since the greatest fear for many is public speaking, it is a great resource for those who are asked to host a service, introduce a speaker, or lead a committee meeting. Jeary developed a 7-step preparation process that is designed to give speakers confidence as they step to the front. I loved the way Jeary emphasized the importance of communication of the message of Christ--this is what Jeary believes drives the speaker in church, and gives speakers a reason to focus on the message instead of their own anxiety. Good stuff.
