3.5 Stars

I lost my full review with gifs twice this morning when I timed out from the server.

I don't have time or patience or inspiration to write a new one. So this will be super short:

This time around the heroine was a bit annoying but the story itself was equally gripping and heartbreaking. My tastes in books have changed over the years but my love for F1 has not waned.

I don't give one-star ratings lightly, but this one certainly fits in with the other books I've given it to.

Since this book has a high average rating I realize that my dislikes about this book are very subjective and that obviously not everyone would agree. Nevertheless, here are my reasons for not enjoying Chasing Daisy:

1. The writing. First person present tense voice. I realize that this is par for the course in Young Adult books, and in some of those cases it works reasonably well (i.e. The Hunger Games) but the voice has to be pretty unique for first person point of view to add to the story. In this case it doesn’t, and the present tense makes it worse as always. Also, I realize that this isn't YA but with the maturity-level of the characters you could have fooled me. Which brings me to:

2. The characters are all unlikable, Luis is the only exception. I felt bad for him that he was stuck with all of these assholes. He could do better.

They are self-centered, moody, unfaithful and over the age of 25 but act like fifteen year olds. The insta-love between Daisy and Will worked for me when I thought for sure I knew how it would go; I was absolutely sure that she would realize that he was a sneak douche and serial mistress-keeper. Because the prologue was basically all about Luis it was obvious from then on that he is who she would end up with but halfway through .

Normally I appreciate a plot that isn’t predictable, but this was just stupid -- and it's also the only element of the plot that wasn't predictable. Anyone who's been taken in by a Will-type (hint: me and three or so people I know. Actually, one of my best friends IS a Will-type -- I love her anyway but she's a shit girlfriend/wife) eventually lands on earth when he either ends up not leaving his SO (Because it turns out that they weren't actually "unofficially broken up already" or weren't just keeping up appearances for his girlfriends cancer-ridden mom etc. and they have in fact had sex in the past year. On more than a weekly basis.), or if he's actually left his girlfriend/wife for them: after a few years it turns out that the loving and cutesy relationship that she thought was perfect has actually been described as "unofficially broken up" to a series of new girls he's been boinking over the years they've been together.

3. The lack of distinctive voices. Aside from the Italian curse words, they all speak the same. Yet much is made of their different backgrounds. The main character is American, yet uses English spelling for everything, uses English words (loo, sofa, telly, etc), uses English speech patterns. This is also true for the Brazilian. The Scottish characters are excused.

I'm Swedish, have lived here more or less my whole life, yet having gone to international schools I've had quite a few friends from different countries. I have never heard an American friend say something like "back home in America I fancy lying back on the sofa and watching the telly", NEVER! Not even if they've lived in London for a few years.

Since the author is clearly incapable of writing an American voice, she should have kept the character British since it would have had no impact on the plot what-so-ever.

“Life can be snatched away from you in an instant, but if you don´t give yourself up to love, even with all the risks of losing it, life isn´t worth living.”

One fact about me that often surprises people is that I am a big Formula 1 fan. The sport just really fascinates me and race weekends are my favorite weekends of the year. Also, I really hope I’ll one day be able to attend one of the races instead of only being able to watch from in front of my TV.

That’s why I was stoked when someone told me that Paige Toon has written a book that is set in the ‘F1 circus’. I was so excited to finally read it and it definitely didn’t disappoint me.

“Chasing Daisy” was such a quick read and it’s a perfect book to enjoy during the summer while spending the day at the beach or by the pool. I literally flew through the book and enjoyed it a lot. It made me laugh but also broke my heart and made me cry. It was a roller coaster of emotions.

It’s a cute story that features some great characters. But there were a couple of things that were a little confusing and should have been changed during the editing process. For example, at the beginning of the book the main character mentions that one of the drivers has never won a race before but when they’re in Monaco later on in the book, she asks him if he’s ever won there before which just didn’t make any sense. But those were some minor things that didn’t change the fact that this was overall a great book.

It was also well written, though I think that her writing could still be improved at some points. There were just a couple of sentences that would’ve sounded a lot better, and would’ve made the whole reading experience a little better, if they had been rephrased in the editing process. But this book was published almost 10 years ago and it was one of the first ever books Paige Toon published, so I’m sure that has improved since then and I’ll make sure to read one of her more recent books as soon as possible to find out if I’m right in assuming that.

All in all, this was a great book and I really enjoyed it. It’s the perfect book for everyone who loves Formula 1 and a good romance book and I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

When I started with this book, I genuinely expected to like it. And now, not even half way through, I'm mad, because quite honestly, it is NOT a good work of fiction.

First, the writing: it's juvenile, immature, and doesn't live up to it's promise. There's no real diversity in the 'team' , despite it being 'multinational'. Or whatever crap is spouted.

Secondly: The plot. Now, I could be wrong in saying that the attraction insta-love with Daisy and Will was over the top. Of course, I don't have enough concrete proof to say so, since I don't know how the story develops from there. As you will notice, this book is on my 'Abandoned' shelf.

I had to create one JUST for books like this one.

But what pains me the most is that there is no connection between the characters. There is no incentive for me to continue reading, because honestly, I don't give a damn about what happens to Daisy. Or Holly. Or Will. I can't comment about Luis, from the 150 pages or so I read, his sole purpose of existence is to be the bad guy.

I'm guessing that halfway through the book, his and Daisy's eyes-meet-across-a-crowded-room, hearts go pitter-patter and suddenly she doesn't know what to do.

I'm hanging up on this book. I need an incentive to read a book. Either a good plot, or good writing, or likeable characters. This one seems to be a waste of time. Pity, because it had such good reviews.
I wonder how THAT happened.

If you already read Johnny Be Good you’ll be happy to find out that Daisy is actually Paola, Johnny's mysterious runaway PA. If you also read Baby Be Mine you’ll also have a pretty good idea of how this book ends… I had also read the summary of The Longest Holiday on Goodreads, so I had an even bigger spoiler on the story…
Nonetheless, I enjoyed this book as much as the others I’ve read so far from Paige Toon, she definitely earned a place among my favorite authors because all her book are quick paced and engaging… they absorb you from the start and don’t let you go until the end… This book is no different. Another thing I like about this author is the fact that she takes minor characters from one book and develops them in another one.
The setting of Chasing Daisy revolves around the F1 championship, I liked it … there is a lot of tension from the start and a lot of swearing in Italian, which, accidentally, I can understand …. It made me laugh (even if some of the swear words were misspelled and mistranslated, nothing crucial to the story however!)
The only annoying part is where Daisy alias Paola complains so much about being a billionaire’s daughter, making it sound as such a weight to bear… Boohoo!

This was the my first book by this author and a long time since I've read any click lit. I enjoyed it but it could have been so much better.

I liked the author's chatty style and the concept with F1 as the backdrop. I really liked the prologue and the first few chapters featuring Daisy and Luis; I was ready for a fun, feisty rollercoaster til they got their HEA but then the bulk of the book went on to be about Daisy's relationship with Luis' team mate, Will. As a couple Will and Daisy did not have the chemistry of Daisy and Luis and a further dampener was Will's had a long term childhood sweetheart girlfriend Laura. It was as if Daisy had decided to love Will, so she did. From the prologue and the first few chapters I knew Daisy was meant to be with Luis and I wanted to read about her relationship with him, not Will. The parts of the book with Daisy and Luis were engaging but there was too little of it. I wish Paige Toon would re-write this book how it was supposed to be with Daisy and Luis centre stage.

Ugh, so disappointed by this book. I was excited to read it after seeing the ratings for it but I didn't realize that it was a prequel to The Longest Holiday and I didn't really care for that book.

I thought Daisy was so annoying and I understand (spoiler alert) that when someone dies it's horrible but I thought she was a little too much. I'm not going to lie, I wanted to slap Daisy.

The beginning of this book was fun and made me laugh, and I didn't mind the fact that it was a prequel to The Longest Holiday but then the accident happened and boom, it got to be too much and boring. I rolled my eyes a lot and was even going to stop reading the book but I'm a warrior and I don't give up.

I recently became an F1 fan and was excited to blend my hobbies by reading Paige Toon’s F1-inspired romance. Daisy works in hospitality for a Formula 1 team with her bestie, Holly. There were moments I loved and a twist that surprised me, but I couldn’t get behind the main character, Daisy. She is very immature, and a lot of her choices annoyed me. I loved the jet-setting that comes with working with an F1 team; Paige is great at detailing locations worldwide, so this was fun, along with being immersed in the F1 world. However, the book is 10 years old, and you can notice a big difference in the writing and references.

The plot was pretty promising, but I haven't made it far enough to see if it actually got anywhere. I think I made it 15 pages in before I just couldn't ignore how annoyed I was getting at the author's writing style. It's really too bad -- underneath the way over-exaggerated "spunk" of the main character and the cliched meet cute, there were definitely some mindlessly enjoyable reading times to be had. I don't know what it is that turned me off so quickly -- maybe it was the unbelievable, immature behaviour of the main character.

Or maybe it was just a few choice lines, like "Frederick is German, by the way. And Catalina is Spanish. Simon is English and Holly, while we’re at it, is Scottish. What a multi-national bunch we are." Sure. But multi-continental, you are not. Call me oversensitive, but I hate it when authors give themselves a pat on the back for all the ~diversity they've included, when there's really actually... not that much.

Or "I lean back in my seat and watch as a group of gorgeous girls in their late teens strut by."

???

uh

Maybe that wasn't intended to come off as creepy. But it did to me.

Like, okay. I'm obviously not reading dumb romance novels and expecting much, since a huge majority of the ones I end up reading are all about them straight white young people. This one just rubbed me the wrong way, I guess. Maybe I'll pick it up again sometime, but it probably won't be soon.

Chasing Daisy is Paige Toon’s third novel and is just as good as Lucy In The Sky and Johnny Be Good. Arguably it’s better but since I’d read all three again and again and again and never get bored I can’t really say that!

The story is of Daisy, whom we have met before in Johnny Be Good, but she was in a different guise. She is a front-of-house girl for an F1 team and gets to travel the world for free. Trouble is she isn’t totally over her famous ex, who broke her heart, and she’s just fallen head over heels in love with someone else… someone who puts his life on the line every time he goes to work – an F1 driver.

When I read Chasing Daisy was set in the world of F1 I was so excited to read it. I LOVE Formula One. (A Fernando Alonso fan who likes Seb Vettel but also doesn’t mind Button, if you’re asking). So I was hopeful this novel would give some insight to the world of Formula One and it does, brilliantly, and I loved it.

I loved Daisy. From her opening scenes where she’s swearing in Italian I just knew she was going to be a brilliant character and she doesn’t disappoint. She has many secrets which we learn throughout the novel which helps with her character (as well as answering questions from Johnny Be Good) and makes her likeable.

I have to admit I didn’t warm to Will at first, the guy Daisy falls hopelessly in love with, but as Daisy and he got chatting more I found him an OK character. I loved Luis, from his opening exchange with Daisy to the very end, I couldn’t wait for the scenes between him and Daisy. As Daisy’s Nonna said, I though Luis better suited her than Will… I won’t tell you who Daisy does eventually end up in I’ll only say it’s a corker!

I really liked Holly, Daisy’s best friend. I admit, I guessed her secret before Paige told us! I also liked all of the minor characters, the mechanics, Frederick, Holly’s boss, Simon, the team boss… I didn’t like Daisy’s mum and dad much, I found her dad too overbearing! I loved Nonna, Daisy’s grandma, she was a lovely character

From the beginning I knew we would have lots of twists and turns. But boy, one of the twists – the most important one, at that – shocked me completely. Talk about a plot twist. I can’t even mention it because it’ll spoil the ending for everyone. Believe me when I say: You will NOT see this coming.

I don’t know how Paige does it but she just keeps making her novels better and better. She also manages to bring in her older characters. Johnny, Meg and Christian have a small cameo and the twist at the end of Johnny Be Good is answered.

Chasing Daisy was a brilliant read. It was easy to get into it and easy to just keep reading another page. I started it last night and when I looked down I was on page 50. The cover, as always, is also gorgeous!

If you haven’t read a Paige Toon novel, then you really should.

Many thanks go to the publishers Simon & Schuster for sending us a review copy!

I've never read anything from this Author and never will, however, reviewers state that she mostly writes cheaters. Reviews state that this is a triangle "romance". Heroine was cheated on by her former Bf and she turns around and pursues (she is the aggressor) of Hero who is in a 10 yr committed relationship. Of course he cheats on his Gf too. And then there is the 3rd guy. Whatever.

After a slightly slow start for me this book kept getting better and better. We meet Daisy and Luis when they are having an argument over who caused her to fall off her motorbike (we later discover this was when Luis fell in love with her at that point the feeling wasn't mutual)

Daisy preferred his team mate Will who came with the package of a childhood sweetheart Laura. Luis knows that Daisy liked Will. Luis is very good at keeping everyone's secrets.

I guessed Daisy's famous ex was Johnny it was good to read about him from another person's perspective other than meg' s. I like how Luis works all this out not Will.

Daisy keeps getting funny feelings watching the races and can understand in the end why Laura didn't watch many races of her boyfriends. I don't hate Laura but I love it when Luis describes her charity do as boring as he'll. I like Luis.

The Johnny, Meg and Christian cameo is short but adds to the story.

Will and Daisy spend the night together and Luis watches on. Daisy is obvilious to how much the guy likes her. It's heart breaking when Will dies you feel for all of them in different ways. Luis is holding much of the guilt for arguing with Will just before over Daisy. Daisy he really likes you. His body is in the hospital breaks my heart how Daisy must have felt. A broken neck poor Will.

Daisy's family are rich and a little strange but I love her grandma she is such a highlight and how she views Luis and Will makes me love her even more he's much better suited to you than the other one. It's a shame Will had to die for Daisy to see how Luis feels for her.

Daisy then starts getting feelings for Luis defending his racing against Simon and telling him in the end it wasn't his fault. It's so sad when he cries on her. Luis really cleans up his act for her and it's funny how they wind each other up. I hate it when she's referring to herself as a screwdriver can't she still not see how much Luis loves her.

Near the end Daisy gets the worst feeling of thinking Luis is dead after a crash. She realises he is mine to loose and he calls her my girl. It's also sad her gran died I loved her gran. Daisy really does deserve a break and a happy every after with Luis. Luis you were such a brilliant character I don't want to let you go.

When I read the first few pages, I thought the book was funny and I was really excited to start reading it. Boy, was I disappointed.

First, the plot was very repetitive. They went to another country, had a race, Will and Luis fought more or less, and Daisy faffed around. There were many scenes that weren’t necessary. Sometimes I would wonder if I had opened on the wrong page because I was reading almost the exact same thing a couple of pages ago.

Second, I absolutely hate infidelity. I was wary when I read about Daisy and Will. Daisy knew she shouldn't go for Will because he had a girlfriend and she repeatedly told herself that, but she still continued on anyway. Then, she disapproved of Holly having an affair with Simon. Daisy was very immature, hypocritical, and just plain annoying. She was upset at Holly for keeping her affair a secret even though she didn’t tell Holly her secret about Johnny Jefferson also?

I only made it halfway through the book because I liked Luis’s character. I’m putting this book in my abandoned shelf and maybe I’ll continue reading it in the future (not) But I'm sure it’s a safe guess that Daisy would end up with Luis. Although, I rather she just get with Will so they can be horrible cheaters together.
360 pages in and I wanted to throw this book across my room.

**EDIT**
I just read a review saying that Will died? He DIED??? What kind of book is this?!

Okay, let me start by saying that this story was not terrible, despite my 2 star review. I had certain issues though, such as the length (or as i think of it, the run-time) of this book. It was very long, and had the cadence almost resembling a tv show, in that it felt like many episodes over a two season run (honestly, it's a great premise for a prime time drama, someone needs to snatch this up). However translating that into a single novel, it felt long and drawn out. Second issue I had was with the lack of proper voice for all the international characters. There are all these amazing characters from around the globe but they all sounded vaguely British. There was no regional slang, no accents (and i have read other authors who have pulled this off without being stereotypical) even though the characters were Brazilian, Scottish, Australian, etc. SPOILERS IF YOU READ AHEAD: Lastly, I felt that the story of Will lasted to long. You know from the beginning that Luis is where it will end. And the fire that is between Luis and Daisy is so much more interesting. I wanted to montage a bit of Will's part and have spent more time with Daisy and Luis pulling each other from the grief and finding their place together.

All that being said. I loved the idea of this story and I like the idea of fictional characters Daisy and Luis living together happily somewhere in bookland.

Paige toon never disappoints with any of her books and Chasing Daisy was no exception. i loved the book and couldn't put it down. I didn't like Daisy's father he was a horrible man.

I loved how Daisy and her mum would speak to each other in Italian and he couldn't understand them. I thought he was a very pushy man and forced Daisy into things that she didn't want to do.

I really was shocked what happened to Will, i didn't expect that and really thought he and Daisy would end up together. But When Luis and Daisy got together i was happy that she had finally found love and was happy. Im very much looking forward to reading Paige Toon's next book.

This is the 4th book I’ve read by Paige Toon and my least favourite. Unlike Toon’s other protagonists, Daisy, the main character, was often unlikable and her indecisiveness and over emotive traits irritated and annoyed me to no end. It WAS enjoyable; there was romance and scandal, cars and drama. But for me, I was too over-dramatised and under-developed. Characters felt half finished and certain story lines were let unresolved or were simply unnecessary from the get go. I’ll probably pick up more of her books in the future but this is not one I won’t pick up again. Ohh well. On to better and brighter books.

To be quite honest, I was in the middle of a reading slump and while I had previously found a few books to be quite proper, I was disappointed by this one. I felt as though I wanted to escape reality for a little time, but instead I only seemed to become more irritated. Couple of things about the story really bothered me.

The first few chapters of this book were enjoyable and made me chuckle, but then there were a lot of situations that weren't necessary. The plot held a lot of potential, but I don't know if it truly developed. All along, I was genuinely unsure of where it was going. I just couldn't help but notice how annoyed I was becoming with the author's writing. Too many repetitions and childish writing style.

The characters felt incomplete, so don't even dare ask me about them. There is absolutely no connection between them and they all are selfish, temperamental, disloyal, and an adult that behaves like a screaming kid.

It is fair that it can be challenging to enjoy a book when the main character takes some really unethical behaviors while hoping for better results. Daisy, though, was such a pain! During my read, I truly wanted to smack her. Not to add how terribly other characters, with the exception of Luis, the only insane one, fell in in love with Daisy and desired to be with her while he was treated like trash by her, is so over to me!

I didn't think it was that good overall. I must admit that the book did not appeal to me as I sighed heavily and rolled my eyes.

I normally try to pick books with a high average rating so I'm not disappointed after I've finished. Unfortunately that didn't help with Chasing Daisy. I had a couple issues with this story.

1) The length. I have no problem reading long books. I prefer shorter ones but if the story is good then long is okay cause I don't feel like it's dragging. I feel like the author could have cut out a good 1/4 of the novel and it still would have been just as good.

2) The relationship with Will. Page wise she was in love with him for more then half of the book. Since she doesn't end up with him I think that's annoying. I would much rather read about her and Luis.

3) Daisy. She was SUCH a bitch for most of the book! How Luis fell in love with her and wanted to be with her is beyond me. She treated him like crap most of the book and the way that she would fawn over Will was just silly (not in a good way).

I have more but I'm at risk of ranting. Lol I'm not sure what I should rate this.. when I wasn't annoyed it was good so I suppose 3 stars.

I though I was going to love this book, just like I loved Paige Toon's last two books. It showed promise and after reading the prologue and the first chapter I was well and truly set on the notion that I was going to enjoy the book. Boy was I wrong.

Now, I haven't actually finished the book, but i'm a good 3rd of the way through and there is no redemption in sight, however if the books final 2/3 show promise I will return and strike my review. However, until that time im going to stick with my gut, and my gut tells me this is a terrible, terrible book.

Once you get past the first two or three chapters, you begin to realize something. The character (apart from a chosen few) are unlikable, have no depth and are basically whining little brats, are drunk out of there mind teenagers (Note, every character in this book is over the age of 26). You expect some characters like this from a chick-lit, but not to this extent.

Daisy, our protagonist, is and/or was heartbroken by a character in one of Paige Toon's previous books Johnny Be Good. We find this out pretty early on in the book and we find out he cheated on her multiple times, just for those not aware of Toon's last book. So why am I supposed to feel sorry for the girl because she is 'in love' with a man in a serious relationship is beyond me, its also beyond me why I should like her actively going after said man. Is it okay for her to flirt, and pine over him because his girlfriend isn't always around? Unlike Daisy who was an eye witness to Johnny's womanizing ways? Am I supposed to believe there star crossed lovers and where always meant to be together? Sorry, not buying it. Daisy is actively going after this man, and she's not even trying to prevent herself from doing it. It's Daisy who's pursuing Will with the full knowledge that a romantic relationship will begin at some point, not Will. He may be along for the ride, but left to his own device I very much doubt he would pursue her half as much as she pursued him.

Daisy is completely unlikable, as for that matter is Holly who is also having an affair, but who I am also supposed to feel for because the wife of this man is a complete bitch.

Im plowing through this books still, the end is in sight, but its has not been a fun and enjoyable journey thus far, and I dont expect it to turn into one any time soon.

I would not recommended this book to ANYONE

Wow I LOVE chick lits so much and now am a huge fan of Paige Toon.

This is my first Paige Toon book and look forward to more by this author.

This book had friendship, family, lessons, dreams, love, loss and some laughs in it.

I never knew a book could pull me in so many directions before yet this one hit me in all the right places.

Highly recommend

The actual rating is 2.5. I honestly found this book frustrating.

First thing, I always hate indecisive girl. Daisy told herself that it wasn't wise to go after another girl's boyfriend yet she still did it. Intentional or unintentional. And she was really immature.

The man, Will, was indecisive as well. He should have broken up the relationship first before going on another relationship.

The other man, Luis. I liked this guy. He's sincere and honest. And I'm glad that he was the one who ended up with Daisy. Daisy needed a strong man unlike the weak willed 'Will'. Luis wasn't strong either but with Daisy, he was.

The other reason I degraded the rating is because I absolutely disapprove of 'infidelity' which was shown throughout the book. :(

Some of the book had me cracked out laugh but it wasn't enough to make me change my mind about the rating.

I‘m a big formula 1 fan, so I was very excited to read this book and I was not disappointed!
I loved the characters! They‘re brilliantly written and every emotion is perfectly captured. I felt the confusion, the love, the dislike - throughout the book and little changes in someone’s behavior.
It felt a bit mysterious, what I enjoyed a lot!
It is definitely a very emotional read.
Expect the unexpected!

I'm seriously questioning at this point if I'll ever find a F1 romance that I actually like...
I've only read one other book by this author so far (Seven Summers) and I really enjoyed it! I added so many of her other books to my TBR after reading that one but since finishing Chasing Daisy, I'm questioning that decision greatly.
This was just not a good book. The writing was so repetitive and felt more like reading a teenage girl's diary than reading a novel about characters in their mid-to-late 20s. The characters lacked a lot of development and that led to the romance plot lines feeling really flat. I didn't find myself caring about the characters or rooting for their relationships. There was zero chemistry between Daisy and Will AND Daisy and Luis. You could see from the very beginning how the romance was going to play out and it just dragged on so long in the middle for no reason.
Daisy was such an annoying MC to follow. She was messy but not in a fun or relatable way. I feel like she didn't show any growth as a character. I sort of liked Holly as a side character, but I had a hard time figuring out if she and Daisy were actually good friends or not based on how many secrets they kept from each other.
This book came out a long time ago so I'm willing to give this author another try and hope that her writing has gotten better over time and that more of her books are like Seven Summers and less like this one.

Oh my god…
Ok, I don’t usually regret reading a book but DAAMN this was my worst mistake! I finished with several headaches and eye pain (I SWEAR TO GOD)

At the beginning, I didn't understand her, then I couldn't stand her, but later I HATED her!
The writing meh, the characters awful, the story stupid. It was a torture. This made me think I should start DNF books…
I had to stop reading it (for a month) because she was TOO annoying!!

Well, I didn’t see my brain but I SWEAR my eyes hurt!! Every sentence made me roll my eyes, it was inevitable (I had a hard time trying to stop doing it). I decided I hate women like this.

She tried to seduce a guy who has a girlfriend.
She thinks he's crazy about her even HAVING HIS GIRLFRIEND AT HIS RIGHT SIDE!
Everytime he fights with his girlfriend (and when she's not around), he invites Daisy to his suite TO WATCH MOVIES OH C'MON!!!
"Cheated on her once but..." O.O how can you fall in love with someone like that???
"I know I shouldn't but I can't help it" x100
"Oh I love him!! How she dare to love him too! He's mine" ("she" is actually his girlfriend!!! FOR GOD'S SAKE)
“OMGGG I want to be pregnant SO BAD" He was DEAD! FOR FUCK'S SAKE HE NEVER LOVED YOU, HE WAS JUST ABOUT TO BE ENGAGED WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
She was saying she was hurt by her ex and she wanted to snatch someone else's boyfriend.

She disapproved of Holly (her best friend) having an affair with Simon (her boss) WHILE SHE DID THE SAME THING!!
Daisy is SO immature, hypocritical, and annoying AF.
The worst female character I’ve ever read about. (also, I won't read anything written by Paige Toon bc if this has a 4.07 rating... FOR REAL HOW THE HECK THIS HAS 4.07????)

4/5 because the BEGINNING was absolutely fabulous! The book seemed very promising with its plot. The swearing and all the light action was absolutely amusing. Luis is my favourite character, charming, snarky and just very precious. It was obviously a book that was hard to put down, slight plot twists and actions that make you yell 'No!' but there was absolutely something horrible that I just had to deduct one mark out of the book. And trust me, that one mark is a fuckton mark to deduct from the book.

Everything was going smoothly and then BAM! A huge fucking plot twist that was absolutely horrible and completely unnecessary! Will's death was very, very unnecessary. It could've just continued smoothly with Will not being able to break it off with Laura, then Daisy falls in love with Luis after they have more dates or bla bla bla. It could've been simple like that and then I would have finished the book with a smile on my face and never would I think, "Well this book just got stupid."

I refer that statement of Will's death AND about Daisy's actions after the death and specifically when she went back to New York. Again, absolutely unnecessary to put all those details there. It was just suffocating and it gave me a rather dragging feeling. That was when I was really hesitant whether or not should I finish the book or not. Though a lot might find the Plot Twist refreshing and new, but really, to me it was horrible and it made me suffer reading it.

Luckily, Luis saved everything at the end though I was a bit dissatisfied with the ending. No words of 'I Love You's exchanged, I would've really liked to read any of those dialogues, even if it was in the epilogue.

But anyways, nice read. Luis was absolutely a character that many would be attracted to.

Crazy Amazing!!

The best Paige Toon's book ever. It's the kind of book that I love everything in every pages and wished it never finished.

The story was set on several different country because Daisy works as a front-of-house girl in hospitality and catering for a Formula 1 team, so she goes all around the world wherever the team would race with 2 gorgeous hot racers who she had a crush for one of them at hate for the other. .

The plot is crazy shocking and even a bit too fast, the ending is pretty awesome. The characters are so lovely I love Daisy, Will and Luis, all the 3 of them. Oh, and if you had read Johnny Be Good and remember Paola, Johnny's former PA before Meg, Daisy is her. Paola is her middle name actually, so we'll see what happened with one of Johnny's girl post brokenheart. And despite my loyality to Meg, Daisy is amazing. She's smart, beautiful, sweet and fun. Will is a sweetheart, and despite the sweet little romance between him and Daisy, I'd known from the start that my heart always goes for Luis. He's fun, easy going and care much about Daisy. His communication with Daisy made me laugh hard. So I just a bit dissapointed Daisy&Luis' love life was not written longer. I really want to read more about them, and even I got a flash about them in the end of Baby Be Mine, I still need more. Please.... :)
