A perfect mix of Alessa with her 6 guys and Evie with her 5 guys. It was a nice surprise with the guys committing to each other. Gage with Leo, Zane with Ryder and Holden, and Micah with Evander and Hart.
Alessa and the guys adopting the siblings was a touching moment as well. This was an all around feel good Christmas book full of so much love between both families.

OMG! This book has only just come out, and I've already finished it!! What a lovely story this is! This author is truly gifted, and really knows how to keep you glued to the book until you finish it! This series of books is a refreshing change, as it's the first truly mmmf/m I've read! The group scenes are so flaming hot, it's a wonder I didn't go up in flames reading them! The two women are lucky lucky lucky ladies having all those men to theirselves!! Can't wait for the next book in this series to come out!!

This was soo good. I loved getting to read about how things have been going in the lives of Alessa, Evie and their guys and how far they have all come within their relationships.

Seeing all the guys in daddy mode will have your ovaries bursting 😍. This was just what all Abbs Valley fans needed. A little taste of of their lives plus all the delicious parts we've come to love from an Ames Mills book. I don't know how she does it but she's done it again.. and this is only a novella.. 161 pages of a perfect story line and still jam packed with steamy spicy scenes 🥵. And let me tell you.. there was so much heat 🔥🔥.

I even loved the tiny bit I got of Caden 🥰 everything about him makes me swoon. I'm even more impatient now for The Heart of Psychos. Bring on March 1st 😄

“A Very Merry Mafia Christmas” by Ames Mills is a delightful holiday novella that brings readers back to the chaotic yet loving world of Abbs Valley. Packed with festive cheer, steamy romance, and emotional moments, this novella offers a perfect holiday escape for fans of the Riches to Riches and All I Have series. While it’s a lighter, more feel-good read compared to the high-stakes drama of its predecessors, it still delivers the compelling character dynamics and emotional depth that fans have come to love.

Revisiting Beloved Characters

The novella is divided into two parts, giving readers a chance to catch up with two beloved groups from the Abbs Valley series. Part one focuses on Alessa, the formidable leader of the Italian Mafia, and her husbands. It’s clear that life in the Mafia hasn’t dulled the spark between them; in fact, it’s made their bond even stronger. Ames Mills does a fantastic job of showcasing Alessa’s dynamic relationship with her husbands, blending moments of intimacy with playful banter and emotional vulnerability.

Part two shifts to Evie and her polyamorous family, following their journey as they navigate married life and the challenges of parenthood. The chemistry between Evie and her guys is as intense as ever, but there’s a new layer of warmth and domesticity that adds depth to their story. The evolution of their relationship from passionate lovers to a cohesive family unit is beautifully portrayed. This part of the novella shines as it captures the delicate balance of maintaining love and intimacy amidst the responsibilities of family life.

A Holiday Surprise

A major highlight of this novella is the double dose of holiday surprises. The plot centers around the two groups planning special gifts for their leading ladies—Alessa and Evie. The men’s attempts to create the perfect Christmas surprise offer a mix of humor, sweetness, and heartfelt moments. It’s heartwarming to see the effort they put into making the holiday special, and it’s clear that these surprises are more than just grand gestures; they are carefully planned gifts meant to show deep appreciation and love.

The suspense leading up to the reveal of these surprises is well-executed, keeping readers engaged and excited to see what the characters have planned. When the big moments finally come, they do not disappoint. The surprises are meaningful and resonate deeply with the recipients, highlighting the thoughtful nature of their partners and reinforcing the strong emotional bonds between them.

Heartwarming and Intimate Moments

Mills excels at capturing intimate moments that feel genuine and heartfelt. The novella is filled with scenes that showcase the characters’ deep love and affection for one another, making it a cozy read perfect for the holiday season. Whether it’s a quiet moment between Alessa and her husbands or a tender exchange between Evie and one of her partners, these interactions are written with sensitivity and care, allowing readers to feel the depth of the characters’ emotions.

The holiday setting adds a warm and festive atmosphere, enhancing the sense of family and togetherness that permeates the novella. The descriptions of Christmas decorations, gift exchanges, and holiday traditions create a vivid, cozy backdrop that makes the reader feel like they are part of the celebrations.

A More Lighthearted Tone

Compared to the intense and action-packed main series, “A Very Merry Mafia Christmas” offers a lighter, more laid-back narrative. This shift in tone is refreshing, giving readers a chance to see the characters outside of their usual high-stress environments. It’s a glimpse into their lives when they aren’t battling enemies or navigating power struggles—a rare opportunity to see them simply enjoying each other’s company and celebrating the season.

However, this lighter tone may feel like a departure for some readers who are used to the high-stakes drama of the main series. While the novella offers a nice change of pace, it might not fully satisfy those looking for the intense action and suspense that characterize Ames Mills’ other works. That said, for fans who have been deeply invested in the characters, the novella serves as a sweet and much-needed epilogue, allowing them to experience a moment of peace and happiness with their favorite characters.

Room for More Character Development

While the novella excels in capturing the warmth and intimacy of the holiday season, it could have benefited from a bit more character development, particularly for the supporting characters. The focus is primarily on the romantic and family dynamics, which, while beautifully portrayed, leaves little room for exploring new dimensions of the characters’ personalities or delving deeper into their individual growth since the end of the previous books. A bit more exploration of the protagonists’ inner thoughts and reflections on their journey so far could have added an extra layer of depth to the story.

Final Thoughts

“A Very Merry Mafia Christmas” is a festive and heartwarming addition to the Abbs Valley series. It’s a delightful holiday treat that offers fans a chance to revisit beloved characters and see how they’ve settled into their new lives. The novella is filled with love, laughter, and touching moments that capture the essence of the holiday season. Mills has crafted a sweet, romantic story that showcases the softer side of her characters, making it a perfect read for those who want to see the mafia world in a new, more tender light.

While it may not have the high-stakes tension of the main series, this novella excels as a feel-good epilogue, giving readers a satisfying glimpse into the happily-ever-after lives of Alessa, Evie, and their unconventional families. It’s a charming, cozy read that will leave you with a smile on your face and warmth in your heart—a perfect book to curl up with during the holiday season.

If you’ve enjoyed Riches to Riches and All I Have, this novella is a must-read. It’s a beautiful, four-star addition to the series that captures the magic of the holiday season while staying true to the deep, passionate relationships that make the Abbs Valley universe so compelling.

A Very Merry Mafoa Christmas, book 4 of the Abbs Valley series by Ames Mills @author.ames.mills. Ames is one of my absolutely favorite authors. This was a phenomenal re-read by Ames, as always! I've updated my prior review to remove all spoilers.

This book is about Les, Ryder, Gage, Zane, Holden, Dex, and Leo in part 1 & Evie, Hartley, Evander, Micah, Mateo & Gray in part 2.

Joint conclusion: Everyone gets together for Christmas. All the guys get together to give Evie & Les an office building for their joint cause. 🥰

Such a fantastic “catch-up” for everyone. Love, love, love!

Part 1: Les and her men are back and coming in HOT! Their part of the book is top notch. Just wait, you’ll see. There will be some expanding in the family. Be sure to have your tissues ready.

Part 2: Evie and her men are back and just as hot as before. Maria is also there and you can’t help but love that little girl to pieces. She completes the family in a special way.

This is the perfect holiday read!

I love this author, and I love these couples! It was really nice to catch up with them all, and see how they are all doing after marriage.

First, the good. I think the author did a good job of keeping the tone light and happy. I loved seeing the various parental bonds develop as well.

Now the reason I took 2 stars away.

I felt that this novella was not at the same quality I have come to expect from the author. I honestly blame that on the length of the story not aligning to the complexity of the relationships. It felt like the author was trying to fit too much content into too few pages, at the cost of making the moments feel authentic and meaningful.

A prime example of this was the relationship shift between Micah, Evander, and Hart. In the previous books, this relationship seemed mostly physical, with the characters just reaching a deeper level of connection at the end of the 4th book, but mostly having separate physical interactions. In this book they have formed a poly triad within the greater poly relationship, yet we mostly see their interactions separately again. There is discussion of their united feelings but limited connected action, making it feel less genuine. It is a beautiful dynamic but it felt like I was being told it existed rather than shown. There was one particular line that made me recoil a bit, knowing Micah and Evander's past, that seemed disconnected from their character development. Ultimately the author knows their characters best; if they are at this point, then that's that.

While I highlighted Mich, Evander, and Hart, I felt that this lack of development carried to other scenes/groupings as well. While I love catching up with all the characters and seeing their interactions with each other, I think the story would have been enhanced by focusing on a few scenes and fully developing them so that the audience could be at the same point as the author.

Despite my critiques, I would recommend this novella to fans of the series! It includes important developments and allows us to see more of the characters we fell in love with in previous books (as well as a few new ones).

Ok, so I want to preface this by saying it did not take me over a year to finish this book lol. I read it back in 2023 and have been rereading the whole series over and over again since. I forgot to review this book so I'm just doing it now.

I'm only reviewing it now because I just reread the whole series for the hundredth time in preparation for The Saviors Beta Team. I love this book. It's quite literally all smiles. You don't have to worry about anyone potentially dying and there are no cliffhangers. it was beautiful watching Alessa and her family build onto their family with not just one but two kids. Also, Gage asking Leo to do a ceremony with just the two of them melted my heart; he was so happy. Seeing Evie take on the role of being a mom and crush it on her career just made me so proud. She truly deserves all the happiness. I loved seeing both Evie and Alessa's guys become fathers. If Ames ever writes for Abbs Valley again I hope we can get a little flash forward of the kids in the early-mid teen years. I know all the dads are going to be so overprotective of their daughters, it would be hilarious. Also, can I just say Ames has some of the best back-and-forth banter between the characters? It seems like it would be hard to have chemistry between each and every character but she makes it work. I've read some poly/why-choose romances where everyone is involved with each other, but they don't all have chemistry. Overall, I rate the Abbs Valley series 5/5!

3 for Les and her guys story and a 4 for Evie and her guys

Okay first let’s talk about Les and her guys. I wasn’t a fan at all. In Riches to Riches I loved them even though by the end of the 2nd book I wasn’t a fan of Zane and Ryder anymore.
In this one Gage seemed like he was pressuring Les to adopt a kid. If I’m honest she didn’t read that excited about it. And when he talked to Leo about it he sounded like not having a kid was a deal breaker.
The only true connection I felt was between Dex and Les 🤷‍♀️
Now Zane and Ryder. They all have their relationship together as a group and separate which is cool. That’s how poly works. BUT Zane,Ryder and Holden especially Zane and Ryder seem way separate. Almost like it wouldn’t matter if anyone else was with them. And I don’t like that. I don’t like them.

Evie and her guys. I love them!
The way they took care of her was amazing. Even when they had scenes with each other they talked about her like she was apart of it. The way Evie is with her guys is so sweet and caring you can read the connection that you couldn’t with Les and her guys.
And how the guys were with Maria 💗💗💗💗

Now on too meet our other band of characters with Bridget and her men. I’ve been waiting on this.

I cannot believe I waited on this series.
I couldn't stop 1 minute to review each book in the series before I started on the next one because I'm Obssesed. So I'm doing 1 big review. I love love love this series. I love all the books. The characters. The relationships. The bi-awakenings. The world building. I loved it all from beginning to end. This review will be about all 7 books in the series: 3 duets and 1 novella.
All the duets are amazing. The harem was well balanced and I loved how the relationships between the guys develops. Gosh I did not think I would love this series as much as I did.
Does the writing need some work? I am not going to lie, it does. Do I care? Noooo because she's such an amazing story teller and she graps you from the first page which is so rare. The writing does get better as the series progresses.
The novella is not to be skipped and must be read because its very good and it does wrap up some questions and relationships I had from the second duet . And it laso wraps up something from.the 1st duet.
I can rave all day about this series. That's how much I love it.

A Very Merry Mafia Christmas indeed

I'm not usually a huge fan of Christmas novellas that fall in the middle of series, they tend to be cheesy and kind of boring, but nothing is ever boring in Abbs Valley with this crew.
There's not a whole lot of overall plot happening, but there's some character development, some hints at what may be coming in future books, and lots and lots of sexy times with all our favorite couples...or thruples...or whatever it's called when theres up to 7 of you 🤣
Book 6 starts the next duet, but 7 isn't out until May, so I'm going to hold off until then because if there's anything I've learned with the first two duets, it's that part one will end on a cliffhanger and my little heart won't be able to take waiting 2 months for part two. I have a feeling I know at least most of who's going to be involved in the new relationship (s) and I can't wait to read their stories!

Cozy-Spicy Mafia Novella

📖 A Very Merry Mafia Christmas by Ames Mills (@author.ames.mills)
🎙️ Narrated by Ada Sinclair (@ada_sinclair_audiobooks), Patrick Zeller (@patrickzelleraf), Heather Firth (@heatherfirthnarrator), and JD Tomlinson

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 / 5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ / 5
Narration: 🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️ / 5

How did I forget how good these characters are?!? I can’t handle it. I can’t even explain! They’re just wonderful and I am so grateful to get more time with them.

These short stories show how the families are progressing now that they’re more settled and my heart can’t take it 🥹 The feels!!! 😫

🎧 I’ve said it before, but Patrick Zeller is amazing! Every character is so different! Nothing against the other narrators, but that’s man is so good at making the characters come to life.

TLDR: A deeper dive into the two families now that they’re settled down. Cozy and spicy!

So good

This was a great ending to them. I do wish that there was more time with the kids tho. I wanted to know Willow called all them daddy not just Gage. Yes he is a softie but they all are and deserved it and I wish she would of encouraged the little girl more about calling them all daddy like daddy gage daddy Ryder daddy holden and so on. I know it was knew still but if she is going to be around them all them thats what it should be. Also would of like to see the reaction of Micah seeing Willow the 1st time it would of been heart warming. I think Les seemed to have more time with gage then the others. Other then that it was great. I really did love this Christmas story of Les her guys and Evie and her guys as well. Please this whole series. So far so good. 2 more coming out soon so get on as I will as well.

✨ Spice, babies, and all the feels! ✨

This novella is everything I hoped for and more! 🥰 Seeing Alessa, Evie, and their men again felt like coming home.

🔥 Part 1 gave us Alessa and her men navigating new territory (hint: babies are involved 😭). The spice? Top-tier as always!

💖 Part 2 brought all the cuteness with Maria stealing the show. I mean, how can you NOT melt at “Dadda Van”? 🥺 Watching Evie’s men dote on her and Maria just made my heart so full.

Ames Mills has truly mastered the art of giving readers what they want and things they didn’t even know they needed! And can we talk about the bond between Alessa and Evie? Friendship goals. 🙌

If you’re not already obsessed with the Abbs Valley series, start with Riches to Riches and binge it all. Trust me, you’ll thank me later! 💕

I didn't finish this one. I absolutely loved the previous four books, especially Les and her guys, but I couldn't get through this.
One of the things that I loved about Les' guys is that they were completely fine with not having kids. And even Les, sure she was sad that she couldn't have any, but to me it felt like she was okay with that. The prospect of never having kids never felt like a huge tragedy. And then this novella came along. All of a sudden everyone gets babyfever and they have to have a baby right this minute. Not my cup of tea. So I dnf it. Sorry not sorry.

This novella was a nice little break from all the action and it showed us how the two groups from the first and second duet are getting along. I loved seeing how each relationship just keeps getting stronger and the love gets deeper. There isn’t much I can say on this without ruining it, the novella doesn’t add a lot for the story it’s just an opportunity for us to see how the groups are doing. I really did enjoy this one a lot it was a fun time and very heartwarming with how each family spent Christmas.

I clearly didn't care that this was a Christmas Novella...lol. It was a continuation of both Riches to Riches and All I Have duets. Alessa and her 6 guys and Evie and her 5 guys. I loved each surprise that happened in this short little book and still the growing relationships. Don't expect a big plot from this novella. Just about each chapter, there's smut, and I didn't care. I'm excited to jump into the next duet with the terror twins and Bridget!

This was an adorably cute novella.

Set at Christmas time it is adorable because we get to see a HUGE change in the dynamics of the Poletti Household and then we get to see both families come together for a massive Christmas party to celebrate their ever growing families.

Still lots of smut and scenes between the guys on their own.

How adorable that they will do a commitment ceremony for themselves as well as to their woman.

Can’t wait for Bridget’s story!
