Reggie Scott has always been a hard hitting star middle linebacker, and making game saving plays for his highschool team. But after being on the other side of a devastating injury, everything changes. Reggie is accused of being a dirty player, he confronts his guilt and has to decide whether he can play his senior season and further.

Not too bad of a book. I’ve personally seen (both as a player and as a referee) ambulances come to take players off the field, and it is scary. This book capitalizes on that feeling, and discusses the struggles of a middle linebacker to keep playing after seeing an injury. I thought that the mental health part was an important part of the book, and was glad the author addressed it how he did. All-in-all a good, quick read that is suitable for middle-school aged kids.

well, Reggie Scott, i think is the person in this book that changed the most in this book. he changed more in a mental way than anything. it all started with his interception in the high school football season opener. he caught the interception and was trying to run it back when someone hit him from behind. Nate Brown was the person that hit him. when Nate hit Reggie, he did not get back up. he ended up suffering a serious spinal injury. this event gradually ate Reggie up. it got to the point where Reggie no longer could hit guys in practice. then he didn't want to play football. he was eventually convinced to go see a sports phycologist. this helped him to get back on track and playing football. he also went to go see Nate in the hospital. that also provided some comfort to him. he finished his senior season and even had a scout looking at him.

I really loved this book because of the mixed emotions in it. Its very sad and heart warming at the same time. There is a lot of details in each sentence and there was no part in the book that was confusing to me. Every time I picked this book up I couldn't let go of it. If you have time to get this book, GET IT.

This book is about sports. The main character is Reggie he is a hard hitter and really good at football.

Specific things I liked about the book is that its about football. The guy was a hard hitter and he loved playing football. He was the best linebacker on his team. I liked how they described the characters.

I didn't like how he acted when someone got hurt. He got worried too much. That's not his type of character.

The book is very good. The writing is not that hard. It's very clear with not too big font or not to small font.

I think a sport reader would like this book because its about football. Its very interesting and it gives you goosebumps. I would highly recommend it because it's a good book.

Will he have consequences read the book and found out yourself.

Reggie Scott is playing the game he love when unexpectedly he is hit, he’s ok but the player that hit him is not ok. the player so hit him was injured and all the fans blame Reggie for the injury so he has to the decide if you want to keep playing football or quit the game forever.

The book I had read was named Paralyzed By Jeff Rud and this book was very interesting. The reason I found this book interesting is because of the beginning of the book. It got the Main part of the story The fastest in any book I have ever read in my life. The setting of the book is all about football and mental health and how you can overcome anything. The book Main characters are “Reggie Scott'' and “Nate Brown”.

So the story begins on a football field and it is a rivalry game between the Milbury High School And the Fillmore HIgh school. They both are the best teams in their conference and they have to go head to head in a football game. The game went by smoothly like any other football game but then disaster struck. Reggie scott had intercepted the ball and was running down field when the Fillmore Tight end had tackle him but he would get up. He was paralyzed temporarily we would learn later on in the story but after the play Reggie scott would celebrate the interception he just got without knowing what had happened to Nate brown the Tight end. And a lawsuit had dropped on Reggie by his parents who thought he was being excessive when Reggie was celebrating.

The story ends with the two teams facing each other one more time to find out who is the better team. Before the game tho There was a surprise guess that has showed up. Nate showed up and surprised everyone by showing up. The game starts and the game and It shot out and it is a close game and it comes down to the final seconds and it The fillmores ball and it kick and it good and Reggie team lost.

I personally really like the book. I thought it was a very eventful book. It all was paced really well and it had a good story. I would recommend this book to people. It reminds me of Outsiders. It was a very emotional book.

The book that I am reading is called Paralyzed, by Jeff Rud. Paralyzed takes place in Lincoln where they go to school. The main characters in this book are Reggie Scott, Coach Clark, his mom and dad, and his friend Jeff Stevens. How I found this book was when I went onto the school website and went to the library page and searched up sports books and this one popped right up.

Paralyzed is about a player named Reggie Scott who is a football player for his high school team. During his first game, another player hit Reggie and the other kid ended up being hurt really badly. He was rushed to the hospital. He was so depressed and he felt so bad that he had to sit out a game because of his mental stage and he had to see a sports therapist. Finally after a long time of waiting, Nate Brown, the kid that got rushed to the hospital may never walk again. But lastly, even people were thinking of suspending Reggie even though it wasn't his fault.

Reggie learns how to put things behind him when he goes out onto that field. The people who have helped him along this way are his parents, and his coaches, and lastly his sports therapist. My favorite part of the book was when he came out onto the field after he was recently sidelined due to his mental health, and right away got an interception and scored a touchdown. That was my favorite part of the book because it really feels good when you know what that person has gone through during this time and they go out and do great.

The book was pretty good. It is very interesting and there is always something happening in the book. People who might enjoy the book are people who play football. Also, people who play sports may like the book. It’s a good book!

The book I read as my choice book is called “Paralyzed”. The author of “Paralyzed” is Jeff Rud. The book is about a star football player named Reggie Scott. In his first game of his senior year an opposing player hits him and becomes paralyzed. Reggie really struggles with this because he thinks it’s his fault. Will he ever play again or will his last memory of football be seeing that kid taken away in an ambulance? Will he ever realize it was not his fault or will he have that “guilt” with him the rest of his life? I liked the storyline of the book, but I feel it could have done a better job being more descriptive. It could’ve had more background about his life, school, and stuff like that. I liked how through the struggle Reggie found out he and his dad have more things in common than he thought. I think fans of sports stories and comeback stories would also enjoy this book. This book is a Fiction book which means it is a made up story. I would say this book is a pretty easy reading level. Jeff Red has written other books such as “Crossover”, “High and Inside”, and “Centerville”.

Reggie Scott is the main character in this book. He is an All Star football player for Lincoln High School.
Everything changes for Reggie during the game season opener. Nate Brown hits Reggie from behind as he catches the ball. The hard impact causes Nate to hit the ground hard, he did not get up. Nate suffers a serious spinal injury sending him to the hospital.
Reggie could not handle the guilt of the accident. He always worried too much when someone got hurt. Eventually Reggie gives up his love for the game and quits playing football because everyone blamed him for Nate's injuries.
When things got really bad for Reggie, he was convinced to see a Sports Psychologist. Reggie's mental health was really suffering but through talking to someone he was able to get back on track and finish his senior season playing football.
I really enjoyed this book because it kept my attention and was easy to understand.

In the book Paralyzed there was many plot twist but the most twist that got me was when the main character was going to see if the player that ran into him got paralyzed was doing ok. When he got there he saw him but the mom walked into the room and started to scream at him. The plot turned into nice to angry. I’d didn’t like how it left off with an hangover because I know he’s not going to make another book just like it. I liked at the end how the main character became friends with with the person that was paralyzed. I think barron morris would like to read this book.

I really enjoyed this book I recommend this book to anyone who likes sports books and football I can relate to this book because its about this linebacker that hurt a kid by tackling them and being accused of hurting him on purpose and I can relate because my friend on my soccer team was going for the ball but fowled him and he got a yellow card. I really liked this book. The main plot is that the main character sees another kid get paralyzed, and gets scared to play, and ends up having to go to a psychologist. It is a very realistic and entertaining read.

This was by far one of the best books I have ever read. It was a story about a high school football player reggie and in his senior year he got tackled by another player, Nate Brown and Nate ending up getting injured on the play and was almost paralyzed for life. The play that Nate of injured on was on an interception by Reggie and Nate tackled him from behind and didn't use proper technique and ending up getting hurt very badly. But at the time Reggie had just got his first interception of the year and was jumping around, dancing, pumped as can be. But from Nate's mothers point of view, Reggie was dancing because Nate had been hurt, this was very clearly not the case. Nate was taken off in a stretcher and the game was called to be reshceduled. Reggie started thinking that this was all his fault and the next morning when he saw the paper article about it the headline didn't help it out very much. He wasn't hitting as hard in practice when he was practicing, all he could think about was how was Nate, and his coaches told him for his safety he was going to sit out the next game. Reggie had finally built up the courage to go to the hospital and see how Nate was doing. When he got there he only got yelled at by Nate's mother about how he was dancing and how he didn't care how Nate was, Reggie left the hospital crying and now he had no doubt it was all his fault. Time went on and Reggie started to get better and he went to the hospital again on day and just Nate was in the room and he went and they talked and Nate said it was his own fault, he didn't tackle with good technique and then Nate's mother came back and yelled at Reggie to leave. Reggie started seeing a therapist about his mental problems and his new technique was starting to work. My favorite part was the ending and wondering if Nate would ever walk again, read it and find out!

Paralyzed by Jeff Rud catches your attention at the very start of the book when Reggie the main characters life takes a turn. Reggie is a star middle line backer in football for Lincoln high school. But when there school plays a game against Milbury high school everything changed for Reggie. As one of Milbury players makes a through to the other teammate Reggie intercepts the ball and caught it. Then as Nate brown Milbury's tight end makes a poor decision and charged at Reggie with his head using his helmet to hit Reggie who had the ball. But after it was to late the collided leaving Nate on the ground unmovable. As a tough football player Reggie felt the hit, but he was still on his feet. so as anybody else would of done he started celebrating because he intercepted a ball and caught it. But he then glanced over his shoulder and say Nate laying on the ground not moving. The game was called when the ambulance took Nate to the hospital.

Reggie no longer thought about football he thought about Nate laying there in a hospital bed. Even though his parents, couch and teammates told him that it wasn't his fault Reggie couldn't think that it was his fault. He wasn't focused at practice he wasn't tackling so his coach asked what was wrong. After he wasn't acting like himself for a couple weeks his parents and coach asked him if would be willing to go see a physiologist about the accident.

imdone reading this book i thought this book was pretty good. i would have liked it better if it ended diffitly it was pretty good.main name is reggie and he is a really good middle linebacker he is always known for his hard hitting that is what people know him for well the first game of the season he interceps the ball and a kid hits him with his head down crippling him self. reggie takes full respiplity for it he thinks it was his fault everyone tries to tell him that it wasnt but he wont listen. he gos to the hospital to see how nates doin(the kid that got crippled) and when reggie gets there nates mom screams at him telling him it was all his fault and all of this mean things so know they think it would be better if reggie gets some help and not play football for a couple of games so after all of that reggie feels better and then he gose back to see nate and the same thing happens except nat and reggie get to talk before his mom comes and yell at him. so rggie feels alot better he gose back to play more football gets asked for a coolege schooler ship to play for a coolege and then nates mom and reggie talk and she apoligize about everything and then thqat is it i liked it i thought it was pretty good but the only thing was i think is that it could have ended a little better.

Chance Paralyzed is a must read book if you are searching for the die hard football people. Paralyzed is a book about a football star named Reggie Scott, that is nicknamed "stick em." He got this nickname from being a hard hitter in football games. A big event in this book is when Reggie hits a guy and the kid ends up going to the hospital. Reggie ends up being very worried and frightene that this happened. Reggie has to go see a special doctor to get help, because he is always worrying about this matter. The player has symptoms of being paralzyed. Reggie ends up getting suspended from the ordeal because the other kid's parents requested this. In the long run, Reggie ends up playing again, and the other kid is fine, his name is Nate Brown. Reggie, after a bad loss to a rival team, a recruiter comes up to Reggie and wants Reggie to play for them. All in all, a very good book to read.

Imagine you are watching your home town football team play their first game of the year. It was the first quarter and your team intercepts the ball. You are so exited until the player who makes the tackle doesn't get up. The crowd goes from roaring to shocked and silent in a second. It did not look good and Reggie Scott(the boy who intercepted it) was mentally in shock from the whole event. He knew Nate the boy who tackled him, he was a good friend of his. Reggie has to see a counselor for therapy because he's an emotional mess. He has to go court, and ends up suspended for two big games. Even though it wasn't Reggie's fault that Nate got seriously injured he has to convince a lot of people including himself that he didn't do anything wrong.

I read I book from the orca series called Paralyzed. It’s about a senior football player named Reggie Scott. He does not have the name “stick-em” for no reason; he is the hardest hitting football player on the team! It’s their first home field game. Reggie does not know it but this simple game might change his life forever. A interception is a linebackers dream, but this one is different! People say it was not his fault, he wants to believe them but he can’t get his head wrapped around the fact that the kid that tackled his is laying in a hospital bed. Read the book to find out what really happened.

I loved this book and probably one of the best books i have read all year. I encourage anyone to read this book especially football players because in this book it shows how it could happen in real life. In the book Reggie one of main characters in the book had a lot of feelings for the injured player Nate which tackled Reggie and made a poor tackle which got Nate paralyzed and eventually came back with a full recovery. I also loved this book because it showed how concerned Reggie was about Nate as he wanted to see how Nate was doing and that plays a major role in sportsmanship as well.

Paralyzed is a good book. It's about this boy named Reggie Scott, who is a linebacker for their high school team. Reggie was playing in one of his games, they were playing defense and Reggie intercepted the ball. Nate Brown is one of his opponents, Nate tackled Reggie in a bad way. He was leading with his head, if you hit the player weird it can cause serious damage. Nate got paralyzed. For a while Nate was paralyzed from his legs down. Nate got feeling better after a while but he couldn't play football again. I recommend you to read this book if your into sports.

Would you want be in Reggie Scott shoes? My book is called Paralyzed its a real good sports fiction book it deals with Reggie Scott and Nate Brown mostly. Reggie Scott intercepted the ball then Nate made a dangerous tackle by running with is head down and made the tackle and he was just laying there and everybody didn't know what was wrong with him. Nate's mom was wreck and she kept blaming Reggie even though he didn't to it. I recomended this book to everybody its a real good book.

Paralyzed, a football novel on a young high school student who is a starter on his school's football team. First game of the season, first play of the game, a tragedy occurs. As linebacker Reggie Scott intercepts the opposing quarterback's throw, he is tackled head first into his back from behind. He's fine but the tackler is hurt, an injury that changes his life. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys realistic fiction.

Paralyzed is a story about a middle line backer named Reggie Scott. In the beginning of the story, he intercepted a pass thrown into his general area, and the tight end that the ball was intended for, hit Reggie in the back with his head. The hit caused the opposing player to become in a very critical condition. This book really reminds me of myself, and that's what I like the most about it. Anybody who enjoys sports novels will enjoy the book, because it can relate to sports players as well.

This book is about football and not giving up. I recommend this book to people who like football. I gave this book 5 out of 5 because it isn't very long and it doesn't have a slow start. For those of you who like slow starts i don't recommend this book Paralyzed. Although it was kind of short, was hopping it would be more about football, but like I said it starts early. That is what I thought about the book Paralyzed.
