Carla Willig is professor of psychology at City University London. Her publications are concerned with the theory and practice of qualitative research methodology. She is the author of Qualitative Interpretation and Analysis in Psychology and co editor of the Sage Handbook of Qualitative Research in Psychology.

Of course dnf means did not finished so I won't be saying much here. It's just Ms Willig may be too keen to introduce the theoretical subtleties and nuances that I find Dennis Howitt's textbook more friendly to an aspiring researcher. Will return to this book once I have finish that one.

The most comprehensive book on qualitative research I have ever read. It is written in a clear and detailed style, allowing both new and experienced researchers to think critically about their use of qualitative research and its methods.

In grad school, my classmate and I used to jokingly refer to the author as "Mareng Willig" or “According to Mareng Willig + [insert statement on why we chose a certain method],” haha!

The book is divided into three parts.
Part One focuses on conceptual preparation, covering topics such as the epistemological bases of qualitative research, research design, data collection, the role of interpretation, and how to put together a research proposal.

Part Two is about conducting the research. It discusses various methodologies tailored to different research studies, including thematic analysis, grounded theory methodology, phenomenological methods, case studies, discursive psychology, Foucauldian discourse analysis, narrative analysis, and visual methods.

Finally, Part Three addresses the quality of qualitative research and explores the future of qualitative psychology.
