Britt Munro faces seven days of sexual servitude at a swanky Hamptons beach house, being shared by the hottest two men she’s ever met. It’s either that or prison after she tries to sell millionaire art collector Garrett Harvey a fake nineteenth-century masterpiece she painted herself. Garrett’s art-expert buddy Jack turns her weeklong punishment into a ménage à trois—his reward for spotting the forgery. Both men are inventive, energetic lovers, but only one touches her heart. Only one makes her yearn for something…real, even after she discovers she’s not the only one keeping secrets. When the week is up, she’ll never see him again. Months later, Britt’s past returns with a vengeance, testing both her courage and the depth of her ex-lover’s feelings.
Pam McKenna's erotic romance novellas were originally published by Ellora's Cave and later republished by Booktrope. Currently they are not available for sale.
So let me start by saying I have read other books by Pam McKenna, and I enjoyed those. I know from experience that she can write a short erotica novel and it's good. This one? Is kind of meh for me. The book is rather fast paced considering it's only 79 pages, so admittedly there isn't much of a story. It's kind of like a porn video script.
We have Britt, who is basically a painter who hocks fake paintings and sells them as legit, original pieces of art. Unfortunately for Britt, she does this with a guy who has a friend who is an expert in the original artist and calls her out immediately. In order for them to not turn her into authorities, or her boss, she agrees to essentially be their sex slave for a week.
Cue three way sex with two attractive men and Britt.
Meanwhile, they are all scamming each other, mind you.
Oh yes, and then Britt kind of falls for one, but it's not destined to last until (dun, dun, dun) she has to reach out to one of the men long after she was to have moved on.
Cheese factor? Oh it's there. It's a ridiculously, over the top, never going to happen scenario. It really is a porn movie turned into a short book. Are there steamy scenes? Absolutely. One thing this author doesn't skimp on are steamy scenes that are very descriptive. Descriptive enough that you can turn this into a movie in your head. Overall? I can really only give it 2/5 stars. It felt too cheesy for me, especially given what I've read from Pam McKenna in the past. I know she can do better so I think that's why this fell flat for me.
Britt decides, after this one last con, she will go straight. all she has to do is sell this picture to Garrett. But Garrett surprises her with Jack, an art expert, who immediately flags her painting as a forgery. Faced with two options, jail time or a week in BOTH men's company, she closes the latter. Its only a week, right?? and only her body will be used, right?? and she'll never see them again?? nope, nope and nope. When Britt's past comes back to haunt, she is faced with something much more deadly than a broken heart.
of the three, my favourite. Britt goes into this week, fully willing and in no doubt about what will happen, for the most part. She is surprised by Garrett, and Jack at times too, but Jack is pretty much an open book. Garrett, however, is not. the relationship, for want of a better word, develops over the week, but he doesnt ask her to stay, and Britt is heartbroken, cos she knows Garrett feels for her. especially after that last night.
only short, 79 pages (according to Amazon) just over an hour reading time for me, but it didnt feel like it was rushed along to squeeze it all in. you got what you needed from the characters to relate to this story, and not much else. it was a right length for this book, they all were, and a longer book might not have worked.
very steamy, super hot M/M/F scenes, along with M/F too. Loved the scene with the lifeguard tower :-)

When Britt tries to sell one of her paintings, a forged nineteenth-century masterpiece, to sexy millionaire Garrett, she gets more than she bargained for when she gets caught. Her punishment is seven days of sexual fun with Garrett and his friend Jack- or go to jail. Ummm, tough choice......or not!
In Faking It, Pam McKenna proves once again that she can write not only a solid erotic romance, but also incorporate some fun, witty dialogue as well that really engages the reader throughout. There was so much to like in this book. The dialogue between the three characters was so hilarious, I found myself laughing out loud several times. When I wasn't laughing, I was wondering who turned off the A/C in the room because the sex scenes were HOT! Who knew one could have so much fun with a chin-up bar? (Note to self: Add chin-up bar to Amazon wish list!)
This well written, provocative story is hot, steamy and is the perfect read for a lazy afternoon. Faking It has it all - great sex, awesome story line and hot male characters! Fans of erotic romance will not want to miss out reading this short but satisfying novella.

This ménage novella proves the more...the merrier!
Britt, Garrett and Jack are not the most scrupulous people. She’s there to pull off her last faux art scam, and when the two guys catch on to her trick, they blackmail her into staying in their Hampton Beach house as their f*ck buddy/slave for the week (oh, the torture) or they’ll report her to the cops.
The dialogue is great—so funny I laughed out loud several times at Britt’s witty comments. She knows the situation is ridiculous, but she’s enjoying every minute of it. We know straight away that she and Garrett have some feelings going on, and Jack’s just there for a good time.
And what a good time they have! The sex is off the charts! OMG…there is one scene where she’s the “meat in the sandwich” that is so hot. So, so hot!
Loved Britt. She’s up for a good time, but she’s also no fool, and there is a twist that had me VERY surprised. McKenna does a great job of redeeming some of the “flaws” of the characters, and I completely fell in love with the ending!
If you like hot, uninhibited, no-holds-barred sex (or at least like to read about it), then this is for you! It’s short, 74 pages, but it’s completely satisfying (in more ways than one!).
Okay first of all I hate leaving terrible reviews, it makes me feel dirty for some reason. Anyway I am an avid read of all things erotica, I know great erotica when I read it. In my opinion this fell way short. The use of the words "rod" and "member" to describe the male body parts was super annoying. Just call it what it is. I would rather see the words "D&*K" and (C$%K) than the others. The male characters didn't show any emotion whatsoever, I couldn't relate to them or Britt. Britt just seemed like a brat. And honestly I would rather be thrown in jail for a crime instead of being forced into sexual servitude. That seems really wrong for some reason. I mean, I know this is fiction and I can appreciate that. Here's the thing, this book was only 74 pages!!!! and some of them were the dedication, title page and other stuff. So yeah I felt like I was ripped off having to pay $4.00 for a book that should've been either free or 99 cents. It's a shame that this book ruined my curiosity to read others from this author. :-(
If I can say three words to describe Pam McKenna writing style it would be: sinful, sultry and sexy. Her novels are unbelievably erotic and oh-so steamy and you will be left with your mouth gaping wide, wondering did she really just go there. Her novels will take you to a whole other place, where only your deepest fantasies and imagination would will you to go and leaving you wanting more. McKenna is the queen of erotic with her novels and it will leave you breathless, wet and aroused as she expresses the most inner desires of the characters she writes about. Definitely hands down, one of the most sinfully erotic and deeply pleasurable reads of this summer. If you don’t have Pam McKenna’s novels on your to be read book shelf, you need to add them today! 5 Stars!
Menage between a trust-fund rich dude, an artist, and an art expert. Everyone is scamming each other.
Unlikable principal characters got in the way of relatively good mindless smut. The chick in the sandwich was an art forger who might have thought of herself as a starving artist but seems obsessed with material goods gotten with her ill gains: her set of LV luggages, her Jimmy Choo shoes, her Ferrgamos, her 12 bathing suits, yadda yadda.
And one of the dudes is in an one year relationship with some other chick but cant keep it zipped while his GF is off to Italy for 2 weeks. Hence why he is shagging the forger every which way. Charming. Not.

Britt, Garret and Jack make for a very hot threesome, filling their time together with sex and lots of it. During this time together she and Garret begin to develop feelings for each other which he won't allow himself to explore, especially given the circumstances. Doesn't stop them from banging their brains out, highlighted by a memorable scenario, and I do mean scenario, at a lifeguard tower on a private beach.
Steamy, erotic and at times flat out raunchy, it's a good, short read that'll definitely get your... attention.
"Garrett's possessiveness tugged at a primitive place deep within Britt, a politically incorrect place that wanted a man to want her, to stake his claim on her."
My Review:
Oh my, what a naughty tale! The story was well written with humorous observations, vivid descriptions, sex scenes that would have even the driest old prune clenching, and dominant and menage themes from mind to extreme. It ended with the desired and positive result for all involved, which always make this old cougar feel content.
In exchange for seven days of sexual servitude and being shared by two very hot men, Garrett Harvey will forgive Britt Munro for trying to swindle him in this sizzling contemporary romance. While the story is short, this erotic adventure is enjoyable and entertaining quick read that ignites reader’s fantasies with a few interesting scenes and the author spices things up with a few twists. I must say I will never look at a chin up bar the same way again.
Britt has been caught trying to sell a forged painting, she is faced with two choices being sent to jail or spend a weeklong being a sex “slave” of sort to sexy men, Garrett and Jack.
Britt makes a choice and what happens during the week is one she wasn’t expecting when she begins to feel something towards the one. But she doesn’t act upon it. The week is over and she moves on…
Months pass what happens… Full review on We Love Kink
Britts a con woman and she's just got caught. She's given the choice of jail or spending a week with two males. That's no option for her as she decides on the week.
I thought this was the right length for this story. An ideal bed time quickie involving m/m/f scenes.
This was a quick HOT read! I really enjoyed reading this and thought it was just the perfect length for the storyline. If you want a steamy read, this is a great choice.
