Snuggles: A Real Live Animal Book

Rate this book
Snuggles the kitten, though warned by her mother Tilly about being greedy, consumes far too much food and pays the consequences. The illustrations in the book are actually carefully orchestrated photographs, with real cats in clever and humorous positions.

This is a storybook with interesting (if a bit odd) photographs by Harry Whittier Frees, coupled with a moralistic narrative told by Ruth Dixon. The story of Snuggles and her eagerness to eat too much is one that I will always remember, and to which I would grant one and a half stars, most likely.
