Patrons of the Autumn Realm, All Hail, Notalus Cavalerie! The last of the Horsemen and Harbingers of Justice. The Overseer of the Harvest and Creator of New Life. He is the Titan of Tir an Fhomhair and Lord of the South Wind.
After two thousand years of providing peace for his people, Notalus was ready to pass on his kingdom to his heir and live out the rest of his days gardening in his fields in the land of Autumn… alone.
But the Gods had other plans for him.
Notalus knew he should’ve stayed away from the Earth realm after Dustin Constus Hill—the handsome wolf and harvester for the Volkov pack-lands—had imprinted on his soul. Falling for such a divine mortal could not have come at a worse time.

Not really finished, I think I"m at like 80ish%, however, my thoughts on this book were pretty solid early on so I don't feel like I need to read it all to review it.
I like Via, in fact, I have re listened (oh yes, LISTENED which is saying a lot because audiobooks are not cheap) to her Promises & Nothing Special series countless times. I've also read the majority of her books actually. Are they the best books ever? No, especially the last ones in the Promises & NS series, but, they are very entertaining and pretty solid. I did read the first in the Prophesy series and didn't really like it. Something was just not clicking for me, and after checking out the reviews for the rest of the books in that series - hard pass. Turns out, this one is a spin off from that series, there are a lot of references to it, but since I didn't read them, that made the book a little less enjoyable.
Next, repetitive. If I read it in chapter 4, I don't need to read it again in chapter 5, trust me, I remember. The whole autumn/harvest thing became the characters' whole personality, and it just wasn't interesting to me at all. That's all they had going for them, all they talked about, and it was one giant mess of MEH. Don't get me started on the whole . I can't begin to describe just how hard I rolled my eyes at that. We have some editing fails, is he a mortal? Is he a demi god? The author just can't seem to make up her mind about that, missing words here and there, just messy.
Ultimately, I don't think this genre is this author's forte at all. I had a hard time getting through the book, I had a hard time feeling the Titan and Alpha characters, I mean, God & Day felt more like that than these two. In all honestly I was bored reading this book. I'm pretty sure this will end up being much like the Prophesy series for me, one and done.
Alright so this appears to be a spin off of another series and I didn't know. I got by just fine without reading the others.
Dustin is the plant/harvest guy for his wolfpack who oversees the fields until a big storm comes through and devastates his lands and nearly kills him. He calls for help and Notalus rolls up. He recognizes Dustin as his fated mate and helps him back to his cabin and then takes him on vacation home. Dustin has always felt like a bit of an outcast so he's cool with it.
You see, the others left him out of their reindeer games because he was very well *endowed* and people were terrified by it. Not my boy Notalus. He takes him back to his kingdom and barely puts clothes on the poor dude.
Thank you to Libro.FM for a copy in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own.
I need book 2 right now! We met both MC's in the Prophesy series. I would not call this a spin off. There is more lightness and way less angst which I found refreshing. Notalus has fallen for Dustin who needs the love and support of Notalus and ultimately his family/world. Dustin's alpha instincts come to the fore and his love of the earth and all things growing is fabulous to watch as he learns so much about himself. Again, need book 2!
Thank you to libro.fm for providing me with an ALC of this audiobook. I am offering my honest opinion voluntarily.
First things first, I fell in love with the narrator's voice. It's deep, growly, all the things I want in my ear when I'm listening to a spicy romance. Especially one with two male MCs!
I was quickly pulled into the storyline and bonded quickly with Dustin, one of the MCs. Things kind of had to move quickly, since the book itself is so short. But that worked out relatively well, since this kept the book fast-paced from start to finish, preventing readers from getting bored or distracted.
This strategy fell short towards the end of the book, when the action felt a little bit rushed, and I realized that the character development was a little bit stunted - simply just because there wasn't enough time to fully expand on this in an audiobook lasting 3.5 hours.
Additionally, certain phrases and ideas were used repetitively throughout the story. It was endlessly frustrating hearing about specific things for the umpteenth time, but the spice was good, the romance was sweet, and there's just something wonderful about two alpha males discovering their cinnamon roll side that's irresistible.
“Love comes fast for titans when their souls are touched.”
Although not super deep, the relationship between Notalus and Dustin was sweet and spicy 🌶️ Very fast paced, almost rushed. The worlds seem very interesting and I'm intrigued to see more in future instalments!

I enjoyed listening to this awesome world where a lord(Notalus) can find his mate ...even if he is a wolf shifter. Dustin is an alpha and I loved how he was able to his true self with Notalus. This romance was nice 3hr listen and not even angsty...loved the narrator. I can't wait to hear more in this series.
Umm... we love a plot that revolves around nature, crops, harvest, and respecting the land. But the relationship between Dustin and Notalus was so rushed for me. You would think this would yield a slower-burn romance, as Dustin and Notalus are so patient with their crops.
It went from "we locked eyes" to "be my husband" in like 30 pages. 🤷🏻♀️
Adore this author. In my top 3 of favorite writers. Good plot with potential but ultimately felt rushed and lacked substance. Good characters but didn’t really get a chance to know them at all. Perhaps this story is simply setting a stage for the next book in the series, but the story lacked the strength and appeal of previous books. I still look forward to the next book! Love her books.
We'd already met the Lords of the Wind in the last Prophecy book, but Notalus's irresistible draw to Dustin - the somewhat loner/lonely wolf shifter in the White Mountain pack - is absolutely worthy of kicking off this Prophecy universe-adjacent series. These two just work for me as mates and I loved all the natural imagery/the characters' connection to the earth whilst being so much more than earthly.
Notalus is novella length, so it's a quick. - but very satisfying - read, which has left me impatient for the next one. We already know it's going to star Boraleashe...bring on the wintry Lord of the North Wind! I can't wait. 4.5*
Not a standalone...I felt lost from the beginning of this book. It would have been nice to know that it wasn't a standalone. And even if this was a continuation I felt like I got plopped right down in the middle of a story and there was no background. If this is the continuation feels a like short novella to try and "back" explain things real quick because fans asked. My disappointment is continuing with his author ever since Blue Moon III. Writing True Mate stories is not necessarily easier... a connection with the MCs, continuity, details are important IMO. At Least There Is Editing Now....👍🏿
I listened to the audio version of this book. Notalus, the Lord of the South Wind is the start of what I believe will be an interesting and romantic take on a combination Norse, Greek, and other civilization mythologies. A.E. Via devises a hybrid mythology including paranormal beings such as shifters. Notalus is a Titan ruling over the Autumn season. Alive for thousands of years, he's searching for a peaceful retirement in his gardens and fields in the heavens above mortal Earth. In this first book of the Lord of the Wind series, a destructive storm leads Notalus to his mate, an alpha wolf shifter who almost dies trying to save the crops sustaining his pack. This is a well written and entertaining steamy romance - short but satisfying. Since there's four directions in navigation and four seasons of the year, A.E. Via has a logical set of at least three more books in the series. I just purchased Boraleashe: Lord of the North Wind on Kindle. I'll likely listen to it as well once the audio version is available. The fact that I purchased the book rather than borrowed it with my KU membership should indicate how much I recommend this series! Troy Duran's deep resonant voice is perfect for this story of Titans. Wonderful narration.
Solid start to a series, I see it's a spinoff of the Prophesy (the King and Alpha series). but you don't need to read those to get into this story.
This romance, had a timeline of what I gathered to be 2 weeks if that haha. but overall it didn't feel too rushed.
I have noticed that AE Via likes to say "I might could" or "I might can" which to me doesn't flow right/make sense. but what do i know i am not a writer haha but those phrases take me out of the story for a minute and make my mind have a reset haha. but even with that nit picky item it was a very easy read as are all AE Via books.
Troy Duran narrated this book and I loved it haha, made me wonder why I haven't listened to more of his audios! haha
I am excited to see where this series goes, since the second book was already supposed to be released Feb 2023 but it's currently not released, so I can only guess as to when the rest of the series will be out.

This was a fun listen. I think the narrator was perfect for Dustin and Notalus. I’m giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ because while it was good and I liked a lot of aspects and it has one my favorite tropes. But I just feel like I would have enjoyed it more if k read the original series first. Which is completely on me but here we are 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Read if you like ✨ M/M romance ✨ Shifters/Gods ✨ mates
Nowhere does it say this is a spin-off and it doesn't work as the first book of its own series because the fact the two MMCs know each others names and how is something you just have to take for granted. It felt rushed because of it, and the writing wasn't masterful enough to make it compelling without that context. I did not enjoy this at all. The only reason I finished was because it was short and I didn't have to suffer for very long.
I was a little iffy about this book-seemed unusual for this author to write, but I am so glad that I did. I should have known better. I loved this book, and I will have a hard time waiting until February of next year for the second one. My heart went out to Dustin--such a sweet and loving character. I am glad that Notalus found him and brought him home. Definitely recommend reading.
This is my second read by this author, and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed reading the story and getting to know the MCs and supporting characters. I wish the book was longer because it was short, like a novella. Still, I was invested in the story and ready for the next book in the series.
Dustin, a wolf had been with his pack for several years. He loved his farming, he could grow anything. A storm was brewing and when it hit he needed to be rescued, he called on Notalus, ruler from a different realm. Notalus had a lot to tell Dustin about his heritage that would give light to who he really was. I loved their story.
This book was like a breath of fresh air. The author writes strong characters that have you hooked from the first page. Delving into a different genre seeming more like science fiction than his previous work. I must say he did not disappoint on any level. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I truly enjoyed this story. There was only a very small glimpse of Dustin & Notalus in Prophecy IV- Taleb, Henry & Orion’s book, so to now have their full story is awesome! I love the imagination Ms. Via used in bringing life to Tir an Fhomhair, she made it sound so happy & beautiful. I’m looking forward to reading the other Titans’ stories now.
I loved this book! It kept me interested from the first page to the last. I especially liked the cliffhanger at the end of each chapter that made you not wait to turn the page. I recommend this book.
I enjoyed this book, the author did a great job in her description of the characters and the realm the characters live in. Like the story and enjoyed the heat of the couple . Really good book. You have to read the book no spoilers in this review
I don’t know what I was expecting, but I know I am not disappointed in the least. This was so cute and to the point. Yes, there was some hesitation but it was really I SEE IT, I GOT IT.
Really enjoyed. Great world building and characters. Notalus and Dustin were perfectly matched, and I love that Dustin was able to truly step into his dominance and realize his full potential.
Can't wait for Book 2! Sounds like Theodor is going to give Boraleashe a run for his money!
There was nothing here. The characters are nothing but their harvest powers. It felt like I was dropped in the middle of a story in terms of world building, and it ended right when something interesting happened in terms of the plot.
This book felt like reading a fairytale with its lyrical descriptions and it’s fantastical sights. Underneath it all is a story of two lonely people that thought they would not get their HEA that find each other.
This book is beautiful as to be expected. Especially from this author, because this author is amazing. I’ve read a lot of this author’s books and I’ve never been disappointed. You won’t be disappointed either so read.
I love this new series. Dustin and Notalus are good together. Dustin finally found someone who loves him. I love how Notalus was able to show Dustin who he really is and should be. Can't wait for the next book.
