Emma shows real talent! Her writing is bold, funny, intelligent, and meaningful. Her memoir is written as a story that is relatable in so many ways. She explores engaging first dating experiences and relationships. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the tales of past family events. I especially loved the historical perspectives that are so craftily written that they conjured a visual image. Emma was inspired by the movie Dazed and Confused and this is obvious in how her story intensely captures very personal high school experiences that takes the reader on their own journey of self reflection and introspection. Great job Emma, I am very proud of you! I can't wait for the next book!

I read it thrice. Incredible book by a new author, witty, wise, it cherishes youth and one’s roots. Gripping and relatable regardless of one’s life.

I lovingly called this the New London Gossip Book to anyone who would listen. However, there was no gossip. It was a band kid trying to be profound for 200 pages.
