The following are works of art in images, poetry, and prose by writers, poets, photographers, and visual artists living in (or creating works about) the U.S.-Mexico border states. We are transcending the barriers of region, color, sex, creed, and nationality. The purpose of this book and future efforts is to create a strong sense of unity through our shared identity and art. These are the creators painting the face of the border and telling the stories that shape its reality. These are the works of the artists creating the border in their image.
