I like Barbados rum, old, fast motorcycles, playing guitar and books by authors like Michael Connelly, Robert Crais, Alex Berenson, Craig Johnson and Lee Child. I write action/adventure thrillers. WHITE JADE is the first in a series featuring the PROJECT, a small, elite counter-terrorism unit. There are currently 23 books in the series.

Great book

I have really loved reading all of the Project books. Great story lines and great character development over the years. Alex Lukeman has done a great job. Not sure what is after this one but it would a great wrap up of the series. Thanks for writing these great books.

With the 23ed entry – “The Enemy” - The Project Series just continues with good plots and characters with whom one has grown to like and care about what happens to them. I have enjoyed all the Project Books. As with many action books, verisimilitude is stretched a bit. One simply must suspend credibility a little, and just enjoy the story. If you are looking for a new action series to try, I would certainly recommend Alex Lukeman's series. However, I strongly suggest that you begin with the first book, “White Jade,” so you can appreciate the character development.

Lukeman really comes up with a dastardly plot for this book. Neuroscientist Jaleh Kezri has created a genetically modified protein that can be activated by remote transmission. Once inside the bloodstream, it can program the brain to fight disease. But for those with darker intentions it can be directed to cause pain and sickness...even death. You guessed it; a group of billionaires want to rule the world by killing most of the world's population with a virus which contains a protein that will allow the billionaires to control the remaining population. The Harker Group plans on stopping them along with Clarence Hood and his Foundation. Now, please just forget reality or believability and just enjoy the ride.

Having read Lukeman’s previous novels in the Project Series, I was not disappointed with another great read. Now, to hope there is a next novel; especially since “The Enemy” ends with a potential cliffhanger. It is a very good read. Even after 23 novels, the characters are still enjoyable. Sadly, it is getting a bit predictable, but it still has a fast paced and exciting storyline. So just suspend reality for a while, relax, read, and enjoy the ride. That will be far more enjoyable than sorting socks. I really enjoy this series and strongly recommend it to you.

Non-stop excitement begins in minute one. Hauser and his secret cabal group contain rich, powerful men in critical industries across the globe. World domination of humanity hangs in the balance when infected with a genetically modified protein gets created. When the Project Team learns of the devious plans, they travel to key locations to defeat the problem at the source. Revenge tactics get ordered against the heroes with impacts that question the team’s willingness to continue to risk their lives.

This exciting, gripping story contains all the elements for fans of thrillers. Neuroscientist Jaleh Kezri’s experiments set the stage for either a fantastic contribution to humankind or the scariest threat. Mr. Lukeman delivers a potential danger impossible to ignore. The characters are each portrayed in detail, with attributes reflected in the situational dialogue. Scenes and locations are identifiable by the colors, temperature, sounds, and smells that put the listener into the action.

Narrator Jack de Golia gives a masterful performance with easily recognizable voices and tonality from start to finish. The rendition kept perfect pace with the action and heart-racing adventure. There were no missed steps or audio issues in this book. The few outstanding questions will make fans look forward with anticipation to the next volume in this series. I highly recommend it to fans of action-adventure thrillers.

Becoming predictable

Book 23 and in reality they are starting to become predictable, Luke should seriously consider stopping here
The end of this story gives the ideal opportunity to tie things off and leave it where it is.
As to the sort itself, it has a few holes. One minute they have a gadget that takes out all electrical items within 100m, the next time they need something similar to happen, they all seem to forget such a gadget exists
Wealthy billionaires driving around and non of the cars are armoured, yet they have 40 bodyguards around them. Little things that make for a poor atory

The Project looks like it has ended

Still A very good read after 23 books the characters are still around. Still a fast paced and e?exciting storyline. I really enjoyed the book. The plot does get you thinking about pandemics this work very timely. I do hope there will be another book but appreciate it is difficult for the Author to continue developing strong storylines. So a big thank you to Alex you have kept me company on my many business trips and I look forward to reading more of your books .......

I have listened to all of Mr. Lukeman’s project books and I like everyone else knows just how much the family has gone through and why they want to retire, but there has to be some projects that can only be done by this team. I have grown to think of the team as a family that allows me to visit every now and again. The audios narrated by Jack de Golia have been awesome he can transport you right in the middle of what ever the team is into at the moment and make you feel as though you are really there. I have loved listening to them and hope it can continue for a while longer.

Devious billionaires and a deadly virus!

A group of billionaires want to rule the world by killing a majority of the world's population with a virus which contains a protein that will allow the billionaires to control the remaining population. The Harker Group plans on stopping them along with Clarence Hood and his Foundation. Alex Lukeman brilliantly unravels the plot of devious billionaires, and shows the readers how the Harker Group plans to take them down. This book is unputdownable. It is intriguing and exciting. Happy reading!😊

Interesting story with obvious ties to today's news. I worry a little bit that some people will latch onto the part about the vaccine controlling people and add it to conspiracy theories about the Covid vaccine. I think the Project people should go into business as a training academy for their successors and spend lots of free time relaxing.

A wonderful read, excitement, action, and a personal touch or two.
This appears to be the last in the series which is such a shame as I have loved every book in the series, and one I would have continued to read for a long long time.

Another hit for Alex. I felt like I was listening to today’s news…it was so real and could actually happen in today’s world. I can’t wait for his next book to come out.
