It was supposed to be Emon and Ashley —high school sweethearts — forever. However, life had a way of taking its own twists and turns. Eventually, stepping back from what he thought should be, Emon accepted his reality for what it was, and decided that all he needed to focus on, as the holidays approached, was being a good man and father. He tried love, and it wasn’t something he thought was worth taking a chance on again. Even if Emon considered entertaining those feelings again, the only other person who made sparks fly within him was long gone. She left Winter Crest and never looked back... and he couldn't blame her.Reminisce traveled from place to place, stacking her coins. She desired constant change, but she also missed being home. Fulfilling the need to stack her paper, but returning to what was familiar, landed Remy at the doors of Club Luxe. Even though Winter Crest was filled with bad memories and past traumas, there were also good things about the town she fled, and Christmas was one of them. Thinking she was going to try to put the past behind her, enjoy the holidays, and continue doing what she loved... making easy money with no attachments had Remy letting her guard down. That was until her past came sweeping in like ice pellets during a winter storm and making old hurts resurface. What Emon and Reminisce thought they were looking for, versus what they actually found, seemed to be what they both needed. However, will the insecurities from Reminisce’s past hinder her from picking up from where they left off or will she pack up and start all over again?
I’m not sure if this was the author’s intention but this story like some of the others in this series felt incomplete. The character development and back story between Money and his ex wife Ashley took up so much of the book that we didn’t get to fully experience Money and Remy. This could be considered a second chance romance in a way. The story opens up with Remy auditioning to be a dancer at Club Luxe. When she arrives, she comes face to face with Emon aka Money. They were first loves during their teenage years. However after suffering a traumatic childhood, Remy was uprooted and never heard from again. It has been more than 10 years since they’ve seen each other and so much has changed. While the feelings are just as strong as they were before, Remy is apprehensive when it comes to Emon mainly because she doesn’t want him to be weighed down by her emotional baggage. We only got a taste of this couple for what felt like 0.005634 seconds of the book. There are still so many questions that were left unanswered. It’s clear that this author can write because I was invested from page one but there’s no convincing me that this was a complete story. I hope we get a follow up on these two in the future.
This was a nice story just wish there was a little more. Ashley definitely wasn't mother of the year and I hated that Emoni always got the short end of quality time with her. I liked Remy and Money reuniting but I felt like things were rushed between them to get to the ending.
This read definitely has all the potential bring some holiday cheer i want Money and Remy to win and I want Emoni to have the family she so desperately wants but something is telling that Ashley is on some bull… I have yet to see the magic of Christmas or the sparks fly for the newly reunited couple but I have hope
Remy had it rough as a child and she came with a lot of baggage. Her mother is evil and there’s so much unresolved issues with that situation that Remy will need serious therapy to move forward. Her life for the last ten years had her running from state to state with no settling down and scarred heart.
I didn’t understand Emon aka Money saying he “loves” Remy, but IMHO he still messes with his ex-wife the same time Remy came into town. Him and his ex-wife toxic as hades! I guessed he suppressed his love for Remy because after he and the ex divorced there’s a child after so he continued to dip in the cookie jar. His ex-wife, Remy situations were all unresolved and some of these Xmas books be turned into full novels, and hoping this one will because this story felt incomplete.
Ashley had a lot of nerve to say to Emon let's have another baby. Girl, you don't even want the one you have now. Clocking Emon moves like he owes her something. Remy came home to start over. Hazel sounds like she wanted to pimp her out stripping. Her mammy caused a lot of trauma in her life. She took her anger issues out on Remy because her father left, I'm guessing. Emon is a fixer. He wants to fix everything. Emoni took to Remy real quick. She was looking for a mother figure. Ashley thoughts were all over the place. She wanted Emon but he didn't want want her. His parents loved her more because she brought a smile to their sons face.. They belong together.
Oh My Goodness, Remy’s story was horrific! Nonetheless, “A Winter Fest Christmas: Money & Remy” was a good read just incomplete. Unfortunately though, this novella needed better character and or plot development. ….as an outsider, I’m confused & frustrated. There was at minimum four other incomplete storylines. Thereafter, Money also needs time to divest himself completely from Ashley before considering another love interest. He’s still emotionally tied to Emoni’s mother. Although Money and Remy have history and may love each other, declarations of formal titles is premature. …Neither Money nor Remy is emotionally equipped and or available to devote 💯 % to a new relationship 🤷🏾♀️‼️
Reminisce coming back to Winter Crest was needed. She had a lot of trauma to unpack. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Although Reminisce been gone for year's. Emon love for her never left. He was able to give her the security and stability she needed. It was sad when Reminisce told him the abuse she suffered from her mother. I don't see how Emon continue to put up with Ashley being a part time mother to their daughter. He literally tried his best and gave Ashley chance after chance. It seems if Ashley couldn't have Emon. She didn't want to be bothered with their daughter.
Money really did love Ashley and honestly all he wanted was for her to be the best mother and wife possible and he would've given her the world. Ashley just was not meant to be nobody mother and poor Emoni had to suffer. Remy had the worst mother possible but I'm glad although she had to turn to stripping again once arriving in Winter Crest it was something she knew would make the money she needed to survive. My main problem with Money is that he just would not let Ashley go no matter all the bullcrap she did he still held hope. I'm glad Remy was able to come into his and Emoni's life and give them the love they both were missing.
This is my first read from this author and I was very pleased. Money was the man!!!!! He didn't play about his Munch. He was such a saviour. He saved Ashley and her family at such a young age. I am so glad he got tired of the toxicity. Ashley need help real bad.
Remy had lived with so much trauma in her young life I am glad she was able to rekindle with Money. Even though years passed, they never missed a beat. Sadly Ashley was a sympathy distraction. I would love an update or part 2 on these guys.
I NEED more from these characters please. Ashley got on my nerves for not taking accountability for her actions and then the way she treated her daughter mad me so mad. My heart went out to Remy when she relayed her past her mom was evil. Emon heart is beautiful. I love the bond him and his daughter have with each other. Emon and Remy has a connection that stands the test of times. Crossing my fingers hoping for another book. Belleza can't wait to see what you have coming next.
Remy and Emon had a relationship during the earlier years of their lives. Remy's mother made sure to separate them by moving away making it nearly impossible for them to reconnect. Her mom made her childhood rough while pretending to be the perfect parent. Remy moved away as far as she could upon adulthood to get away from her mom. Years later she decided to move back to her childhood neighborhood. The last person she expected to see was Emon. Instantly feelings from the past resurfaced as they worked toward rebuilding their relationship.
This Christmas standalone is lit. Now u know we need an update on them it's so much more. My girl mom needs her a** beat. His baby momma is a peace of work u don't want the first baby, aborted the second one and the third one u try not to be around her so much and asked for him to have another baby for u smh. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
I'm glad Money and Remy found each other again, but there's a lot of unanswered questions. Is Remy going to reconnect with her mother for closure and What Ashley is going to do when she sees that Money finally moved on with Remy. Is Eboni getting used to her mother not being around for her when she needs her. I'm sure her friend call and told her about seeing them together. I hope there's a spinoff to this, cause there's a more to be said. Good read so far!!!
I loved how money knew boundaries cause some men don't know that or can't take no clean answer that man was a gentleman and didn't play no games parents leave permanent scars and act like they did nothing to you or that you forget its fucked up but I'm glad Remy gone heal Ashley was a mess she only wanted to run the streets and act like a moisten she wanted to this was a great book and very real I love it
Unfortunately, I did not resonate with the story. There was no plot. Remy comes back to town; Money sees her, and bam! He always loved her, but in the same breath, he and Ashley were rocking tough for a while. Ashley was wrong for doing her daughter that way; Emoni deserved better with her cute self.
I would have loved reading more of Money & Remy, This is a great Christmas love story I enjoyed this just like the others hopefully we can get more of them because Emoni is so cute I know there will be some drama as well . Ok I'm gone got some more to catch up on.
This was a cute story, but I felt like it was kinda incomplete and focused more on Ashley as a dead beat mother to Emoni versus the reconnection between Money and Remy. I guess they got back together after so many years but the story ended with Money happy that Remy came back into his life and then it ended.???
I just know you gone spin the block on these two Belleza. I loved their story and it didn’t feel rushed, just picked back up from where they left off all those years ago.
This story showed real life situations and what goes on with many people everyday. It also shows that there are people placed in your life a reason and for Emon and Remy it was to bring their love full circle ❤️ Great job as always !
I smell a spin off coming Money was a real stand up guy, a good father, son, friend, and business partner. Ashley needs to be healed. Remy also need to be healed and loved the right way. I would love to hear more from these characters.
Hey Belleza, well you wrote another amazing story. Money has a heart of gold. Remy came home only to run right into her first love. I think we need a spinoff for this couple. Great read.
I was expecting a lil more. I know it’s supposed to be a short story, but I was looking for a different ending. Ashley was so wrong just leaving her daughter cause she didn’t get her way with the father. After she claimed that she wanted to change.
Remy got let down by both of her parents. I was shocked mire when she said her brother turned his back on her. Emon needs to let Ashley go. Stop helping her and her family. Yes Remy and Emon back together.
Now now u left us hanging like that lol but anyway great book but I need more from these characters hint hint I really wanna see how their story plays out thanks again for giving us another banger keep them coming
This was a good read. I hate Remy has went through so much in her life. Money is a good man and deserves to be happy. Money baby mama is a trip. I really need more about this couple. Hopefully she turns this into a standalone..
But ma’am where is the rest? Like what kind of teaser was that! Done got me all invested just to end it like that! Now I got all kind of questions! I most definitely need more! Sensational job as always
Remy found home Emon a good guy Ashley said she living her best life I was tripping when she said he could cum in her she wanted another baby she wasn’t doing anything for the first one girl bye I enjoyed reading this story
I just loved it! I’m so glad that Emon was making Remy deal with the pain and not try to over shadow what she went through with excuses. I’m happy for Emoni as well and that ratchet hot girl mother of her’s😒! Good job.
A trip back home brought Remy and Emon back face to face Emon wanted to pick up where they left off Remy wasn't sure. Emon had baby mama problems but im glad he let her do her. Great read !
I hope Remy gets to heal. She didn't deserve all that abuse from her Mom. I feel her pain. I know Money will be there for every step of the way. I'm would love to see what happens to them and Ashley in the future!
