Seven months ago, Kelly walked in on her fiancee and mother having sex. She proceeded to then fall after leaving the apartment and she lost the baby she was carrying. Seven months later, her mom is dead. Her stepdad, Grant, has no clue why she's so upset at her mom. He confronts her and that leads to sex... afterwards, he apologizes and says to forget about it.

Eight months later, Kelly is pregnant and trying to get on with her life without Grant. She meets him unexpectedly and they rekindle their interest in each other. He finds out about the baby and is determined to fix things.

I... wasn't a huge fan of this one. The steam was there, I just didn't like their backstories and how they got together. 3/5.

I really enjoyed Stella’s Wicked with the Professor novella, so I was looking forward to this one. Wooed by Daddy is a decent, spicy, quick read. It didn’t hit the same as the Halloween short story, though.

Kelly has been wronged by her mother plenty times over. Naturally, she’s relieved when her mother passes away and can no longer hurt her. Kelly’s stepfather, Grant, is upset when she can’t seem to let bygones be bygones with her deceased mother. He knocks on her door hours after the funeral and wants to know WTF is going on. The attraction seemed to come out of no where here. I really didn’t feel chemistry - or anything - between Kelly and Grant before he pushes her against a wall and goes to pound town. His abruptness afterwards is just that: super freaking abrupt.

When they meet again, it’s on a blind date. Kelly is eight months pregnant, but seemingly able to hide it with her dress. Grant has constantly thought of her, but knows nothing can happen between them and has pushed her away. When Kelly realizes who her date is and says she should leave, his tune changes. Now he’ll do anything to keep her. Again, it feels rather abrupt.

I mostly enjoyed the spice for what it was. Dirty talk is my thing. I love it and am always here for it. Grant’s dirty talk was fine until it wasn’t, and then it was a little cringey.

Wooed by Daddy didn’t feel taboo to me,, considering Grant was only her stepfather for two years and she was already an adult. Although, this is rather subjective since my taboo-o-meter generally leans toward the super taboo side.

A spicy, taboo blind date novella

Wooed by Daddy by Stella Bella is a spicy, taboo blind date novella released as part of the AB Shared World Valentine’s Date Series. The book opens with Kelly suffering through her mother’s funeral, and her mother could win the award for most betrayals of a child in the nastiest way. Kelly finally puts herself first and leaves the farce angering Grant, her oblivious stepfather, who didn’t really know the monster he married. Grant shows up angry to confront Kelly for leaving, and she unloads the ugly truth on him. Suddenly, the anger disappears and the long suppressed lust and feelings take over leading to sex, before he storms out. This is where the story went off the rails for me. She was sharing deeply emotional stuff with him, including a loss of a baby, and he just immediately goes to sex? Then there are a couple more instances that just aren’t realistic later, like she’s 8 months pregnant, but she’s able to find a dress for her blind date that makes her look 6 months pregnant at best. And he was a jerk and cut her off, so she gave up trying to tell him. Also, her calling him Daddy given he was married to her mom for a few years is a bit weird for me. They do have chemistry together though, when she doesn’t make it weird with that nickname lol. There was an interesting twist towards the end that I wasn’t expecting that brought some action. And I definitely appreciate that the story was tied up nicely with an epilogue, even if it was also setting up the next book.

Wooed by Daddy is a novella in both the AB Shared World A Valentine’s Date Series and book three in Stella Bella’s Taboo Temptations Series. This book is told in dual POV and is Grant and Kelly’s story. Grant was a secondary character in the second book of this series and I really liked him. He’s definitely got the protective Daddy vibe going for him. Kelly is sassy and knows her boundaries. This is a very non taboo taboo romance so if you’re looking to dip your toe into the genre this is your book. The age gap isn’t creepy, and it’s very light on the Daddy kink. There’s a ton of steam but also a lot of emotion, there’s a lot of plot packed into this short novella. There is a timeline jump and a lot of the back story takes place off the pages so even though it’s quick it doesn’t feel like an instalove read. We get an introduction to the next couple and a visit from the previous book’s couple which is always fun. If your looking for a quick read with instant gratification or your strapped for time but want the whole HEA.. Stella is your girl. I definitely recommend Wooed By Daddy and Stella Bella’s whole Taboo Temptations series. ARC graciously given by the author via Book Sprout. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a great quick read for me. It had a great plot and plenty of steamy scenes. I read it near Valentine's Day it was perfect time for it. Kelly and Grant have a passionate love for each other. There were times I wanted to hit Grant in the head and knock some sense into him when it came to Kelly. Kelly deserved to have someone treat her right after everything her mother put her through. I loved how independent and strong Kelly was. She didn't need a man in her life to feel secure. I think that made Grant have to work a little harder to get her back. I loved that Kelly made Grant work what he wanted, he needed to after hurting her. The book had the sweetest ending. The steam was there and a good plot. It wasn't just about the two of them and I even enjoyed that there was a little trouble for the two with the ex-boyfriend. Kelly's best friend also made the story, she was funny , witty and protective of her friend.

Kelly's mum has died. She goes to the funeral but she does not want to be there because of all the things her mum Helen has done to her.

Grant is kelly's mum husband and he's not too happy with the way Kelly is at the funeral and goes to see her at nearly midnight, kelly ends up telling him what her mum as done to her over the years grant gives her a cuddle but they end up sleeping together and he walks out,

Kelly goes on a blind date but it ends up being Grant.

Grant has not stopped thinking about Kelly and goes on a blind date when he sees Kelly he decides he can't let her go again and then Kelly tells him she's pregnant he will do anything to show her that she is it for him.

Grant starts to woo Kelly to show her that he means what he says, when Kelly's ex shows up and will not leave her alone, can Grant stop him.

Will Kelly let Grant in and show her that he loves her.

I love Brooke’s short & very steamy books! They’re full of spice & really hot dirty talking men. I love a forbidden romance that involves a stepdaddy! And I really enjoyed previous books by her, but while this little quickie (😉) doesn’t disappoint, I also felt like it was lacking a little. We get enough backstory about Kelly & her toxic relationship w/her mother that provided enough to know how much of a b**** her mom was. She’s slept w/several of Kelly’s boyfriends, including her ex fiancé, which resulted in Kelly miscarrying. So when her mom died there was no sadness. There also wasn’t much time before she was sleeping w/her stepdad!! Which resulted in him feeling guilty & her getting pregnant. But I would’ve liked to have gotten a little backstory about Grant. Other than he was separated f/her mom because of her cheating.
Regardless though, Wooed By Daddy was a really spicy & steamy book, & I’m really glad I read it.

Kelly has loved Grant since the first time she saw him but he was happily married to her mother. Kelly has a stormy relationship with her mother because her mother keeps sleeping with her boyfriends. Then her mother dies and Kelly comes back for her funeral. Grant accuses Kelly of not respecting her mother so Kelly tells him of all the things her mother did to her. Grant shows Kelly some sympathy and kisses her and their passion gets out of hand. They sleep together but the next morning Grant doesn't seem to remember what happened. Kelly goes back home but soon learns that she is pregnant with Grant's child. Her friend is tired of seeing her moping signs her up for a blind date. To her horror, her date is Grant.

I loved Wooed by Daddy: Valentine's Blind Date Series. Kelly is finally getting closure from her mother, she died. The horrible woman is gone. Grant her stepfather, whom she is attracted to, share an amazing night together and Kelly finally thinks she has what she wants until he pulls away and leaves. He said it was a mistake, one that in 9 months will result in a child. Set up on a blind date Kelly wasn’t expecting to see Grant but now he knows about the baby and he won’t let Kelly go. He just has to convince her they are meant to be together? Will she take him back? This was a great story and I loved the characters. I would definitely recommend this book. Looking forward to Rina’s story.

Kelly definitely had a complicated relationship with her mother, as her mother was a real piece of work. This book really gets going when her mother has passed away, and honestly, I was relieved for her. Grant is her stepfather, and he gets in her business after the funeral which leads to other things sexy, and then it's abruptly over. Next up is a blind date while she's eight months pregnant, and her date ends up being Grant, not to mention the baby's father is none other than Grant so complicated is putting it mildly. There's no doubt these two are super hot together, however I didn't really feel their emotional connection but that's just me, plus I don't know how I feel about how things went down because of personal preference so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a story that that sends you on a turbulent ride of twist and turns.

Kelly's mother had died, but there was no love loss, especially since her mother would sleep with her boyfriends to try to prove she was better than her daughter. Kelly has always felt a pull towards her stepfather but stayed away.

After the funeral, Grant went to Kelly and the passion he felt for her and the alcohol he had led to a fiery moment, leaving Kelly with more than she expected. Months later a blind date brings them back together and the secret uncovered.

Oh, what a story, the twist of betrayal, the drama of an ex and the heat of what could be.

Another absolutely phenomenal taboo romance by Stella and book three of her Taboo Temptations series. The stories in this series may be short and to the point but they are absolutely jam packed with emotion, heat, off limits taboo love, and the struggle it takes to get to the HEA. And this one is no different, this is Kelly and Grant’s story and it’s intense. He’s married and after one night she finds herself pregnant, alone and heartbroken. When she agrees to a blind date she’s shocked and surprised when it’s Grant she meets at the restaurant. With a bit of groveling and redemption these two finally get their HEA and it’s perfect. Definitely a must read. Absolutely loved it.

When her mother dies, she sees Grant at the funeral, the pair hook up, but he regrets it later and stays away. She later finds out she is pregnant by him but he does not want to talk to her. When a friend convinces her to go on a blind date, both are surprised when she shows up and Grant is her date.

Will he even want the baby?.

This was a great story by Stella Bella. I loved every second of it. I only wish it was longer. I loved the interactions between Grant and Kelly. Kelly has lost her mother but it wasn't a good relationship. She has always wanted Grant, her stepfather. Her mom and him got married after she was already an adult. Grant has wanted her as well but he was being true to his marriage vows. They shared a passionate encounter before he walks out of her life. He left her with a little present though. Will they get a second chance?

Kelly was hurt by her mother her whole life. She slept with Kelly’s boyfriends including her most resent ex. When her mum dies she thinks that she can move on. Grant was married to Kelly’s mum for 2 years, their marriage was failing due to her cheating. He was in love with Kelly and things turned heated after Kelly’s mums funeral. He left Kelly feeling bad for his behaviour, little did he know he left more than her. When he gets a second chance 8 months later he’s not making the same mistake, he is never letting her go! Steamy romance with amazing chemistry, a very determined, protective hero and a lovely HEA.

After her mother's funeral Kelly couldn't wait to get away from the people that didn't know the real person her mother was. Grant shows up at her place hours later and starts yelling at her for leaving until she shares some history of her mother's he had no clue about. He starts to comfort Kelly and things heat up real quick. Will this be a fling or something more?

This is a steamy story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

This story has a hint of taboo since it involves a stepfather and stepdaughter, this also gives us an age gap storyline. There is some past family turmoil referred to and of course some current turmoil involving Grant's feelings. It's a fairly short read and there's no action or violence. This isn't just bedroom scene after bedroom scene, there is a little storyline and you do get to know the characters some, not a lot. Despite the short length of the story it is plenty steamy.

This is the third book in this series and this is Kelly and Grant’s story. Kelly has loved Grant from the moment she met him, but he is married to her mother. Kelly endured so much from her mother and takes herself off to escape the toxic situation. When Kelly is set up for a blind date she is stunned to find out who her date is. This is a well written quick story, with family, friendships, miscommunication, heartbreak, drama, passion, insecurities, humor, and love, which leads to a steamy page turner.

Short, sweet and hot

Great little story, older man, younger woman. After her mother's funeral, Grant stops by Kelly's house to ask how she could just leave. Kelly's tells him how her mother was to her. Overcome they share a moment of passion and then Grant just walks out. Eight months later, at the urging of her best friend, Kelly goes on a blind date and it's Grant. Both are shocked but the future is not clear sailing.

He finds out about all of the horrible things her mother did to he4 and allows his feelings to come out. This was a good, fast, taboo read.

This was a nice hot and spicy read! There was spicy daddy play, and secret/surprise pregnancy and hot pregnancy loving. I found this incredibly enjoyable and really appreciated the fact that the fmc was heavily pregnant through most of the story. Great read!.
