Jasper Cloud and the Soulship have almost completely retaken the emergency floor, now that they have a crew strong enough to battle the army of monstrosities emerging from the damaged depths. Unfortunately, both crew and Soulship are still in dire need of resources, so they must once again venture to forgotten planets in search of artifacts capable of awakening their dormant powers. As Jasper searches with his team of Beacons, his soul is pulled by the whisper of a catalyst powerful enough to turn the tide...
Great addition to the series and another amazing work by Nathan. Can’t express how much I enjoy this series and look forward to every book that comes out. This one honestly had a different pace than the previous ones to me and I liked how we continue to build the Night Sky. Look forward to enjoying more books as they come next year.
Taking the same set of circumstances and making it an in book joke does not alleviate the boredom that comes from an over used plot line. This entire book is a repeat of the last few. Same ship defense section followed by the same planet side excursion. Both having the same surprise occurrences. Creative juices are obviously running dry.
I have been a huge fan of Nathan's books since I stumbled across Challengers Call. That being said I was never a fan of cultivation style book but I gave the series a chance because of the author. It took me awhile to get into the series but now I have read all of them at least twice.
I like the story and the worlds the characters travel to this book was focused on myths of ancient people which was phenomenal. I would have like to see more or a longer series of them. Not a lot of progression this time but a consolidation of power and the growth of the people on board the ship.
I highly recommend both this Soulship Series and the Challengers Call series. Both series are a great read and each installment adds to the enjoyment and quality of each series
Catalyst Craft is a fantastic addition to the Soulship series. This book has plenty of wit and charm, mixed with excitement and intrigue. I couldn’t put this book down!
Too slow in story progress its frustrating to annoying. (Sorry this is long & minor spoilers)
Way to much talking instead of doing something 'sigh' wish would stop with romance in this story or worse yet harem mean its creepy for instance Nova who grew up with him more like a sister and offers just feel wrong except maybe Vessa but even still feels cringe how wrote & unpleasant. (Please stop.) Aurora is by far my favorite of the beacons and love her personality hope don't change she unlike offers for is full of life & joy. Finding mc thoughts and reactions often very annoying hear and nestor used really like the little guy but now with he's obsession making harem for mc I'm very annoyed with him instead. Disappointed that again the mc has not raised any of his sauce energy's. (Wow author you sure are dragging a story out.) Did like little parts like when aurora got tired and said sleepy does anyone gave a spare pillow? If not that's fine too... vessa said jasper, you didn't have to give her a pillow!...why do you even have one! Never mind. (That was fun and funny nice.) But at least another beacon was not brought in as there are enough already.
Also what was point of this book over all as seemed to accomplished nothing really, felt more hear to lecture/nag readers.?
Questions of few would like to know. 1. How many sections are there on the ship and how many do need to still take back including how many have they done ? (As at book 6 should be a lot by now. ) 2, Also shouldn't have more of plan on what they want to accomplished & goals. 3. Just name a few.
P.s. It's missing end book content info on source energy extra all offer books had I for one relied on this please bring it back.
This wonderful, progression series is a joy to read and follow. I really like the way the plot keeps growing and the interesting characters that keep showing up. My favorite character is Nestor the brave little sourcebeast. The soul ship idea is beautifully quirky and the people engage the readers time and again. My daughter and I cannot wait for the next book. I read this one in just a few hours, couldn't put it down.
While the storyline remains as intriguing and entertaining as always, I remain hopeful that the grammatical errors will not continue to populate each installment. Several unusual and intense battles are fought in this book, with our protagonists fortunately surviving the conflicts. This installment end on a hopeful note, with an expectation for the next book.
I enjoy this author, and the world he builds. This is a fun side quest that doesn't really accomplish much, but we find some new gear and save another group of lost people.
Nathan Thompson gets Little heavy on the exposition with this book, but aside from that it is a solid addition to the series.
Great book! Nathan Thompson is one of my favorite authors and every book is better than the last, if you haven't started reading one of his series you are missing out
After the transformative events of Hello Steel, Jasper and the crew return for another round of progression and uplifting each other. Another great entry in a fun series.
Soulship continues, with monsters, friends, mysteries, powers, growth, and budding romance. This volume follows the series formula, with unique variations to be distinct and memorable.
Nathan has added another great book to the story and told a brilliant tale without advancing his hero to far. I look forward to further additions to his tale.
Another excellent tale with the adventures of our vessel, beacons and sage. A lot more intrigue in this one I think and it does seem to read faster that those before. Still a little too simliar to his other series but an enjoyable journey from page 1.
Another amazing book, the author has given the characters life to them. That they feel so real, plus he has breathtaking areas that he described. All in all a wonderful book and hope I'll read more of his works
I enjoyed reading this book very much and I recommend this book to anyone who like LitRPG, cultivation and progression type of books with lots of action.
Good story. Kinda leaning more into myths and legends. The story felt a little short. The book was a bit of a filler arc( if you excuse the crude terminology).
this part of the story has a lot of Adventure in it and has some character development as well. there's a lot of information going on both physical and emotional for the characters. there are challenges that they have to overcome and the way they do it is entertaining.I like how the cultivation is going on and their development the only thing I would like to see is maybe a little bit more of the romance angle in the story other than that it is a fun read can't wait to read the next book.
Loved this book and can't wait for the next one in both series. My only complaint is that it was too short and seemed to be rushed in a few places, I also feel it should have kept going, the end of the book seemed kinda cut short I think it should have continued until at least Vessa explained what happened during Jaspers absence, if not until they finished clearing the floor
Author needs to pick up the pace of the books either write faster or have more things happen in the books. I find it frustrating we are on book six and the Mc has not even started a relationship. Power ups are going really slow feal like it will take to book 20 for things to even really get started.
