Unless he can come up with $500,000, Jason Swan will lose his hot air balloon ride company to his ex-wife, a woman he should have never married, especially since he has a penchant for men. Big, virile men like Michael O'Shaunnesy.
Michael O’Shaunnesy is on the run from his ex-lover when his car breaks down in Napa Valley. To escape, he steals Jason’s balloon. Miles above the ground, the two men are beset by danger ... and desire. When disaster strikes, the only way out is down.
Ericka Scott is a multi-published, bestselling author of seductive suspense. She's written stories for as long as she can remember and reads anything under the sun (including the back of cereal boxes in a pinch). She got hooked on romantic suspense in her college days, when reading anything but a textbook was a guilty pleasure. Now, when she’s not chauffeuring children around, wishing she had more than 24 hours in a day, or lurking at the library, she’s spinning her own web of fantasy and penning tales of seduction and suspense. She currently lives in Southern California with her husband and three children.
This little story is really pretty, but very very short, less than 35 pages, and being this short it's somewhat too much crowded, of people and event.
Josh is losing his affair, a hot air balloon company; the divorce settlement states that he must sell the company to repay his ex-wife. Doesn't matter if he was almost forced to marry, even when he already knew that he is gay. The very last day he is free to "fly", one of Josh's balloon is stolen by Michael, a fashion model running away from his abusive lover. Josh and Michael get along together pretty well since the first moment, since they have lot in common. More than they expected.
I don't know if the book is a genial package or not. It has so much elements that it could be very well last for hundreds of page. Josh's wrong marriage and how he was forced to it, from a female who used against him his sexual "urges"... better that than a gun... Michael's research for true love which landed him in the hand of a mafia's boss... Michael's career as model, that is something that I find always interesting (I love my men candy...). There is also the little twist in the story that I don't want to give up, since the same publisher didn't do that, but if you are used to my post, you will know what it is.
And so if you are searching for a little short interesting and original story, this could be your choice.
