A Must Read for Sure!
The story of a young woman and her mom, who were working hard to keep themselves afloat in post Civil War era, where it was easy for a slick man to take advantage of them.
Running away was the only option to escape what danger was lurking there. Luckily, there was a place they could go to. A safe haven, even if they didn’t know it yet.
With faith, hope, love, family, dear and new friends, along with a constant dose of mindful prayer, can overcome even the most difficult of situations in this powerful book by Lynne Lanning who writes the most inspirational stories of all.
Love triumphs over all. It is, after all, the “greatest of these”.

I love mail order bride stories, perhaps it is because I only knew my husband a little over two weeks when we married so I have a bit of understanding how they feel. At least I didn’t have to flee to a whole new territory, often leaving problems and danger behind. Lynne Lanning is a new to me author but I really enjoyed this story. She has given us problems, danger, humor and romance. George is not only bad but downright evil. I look forward to more stories by this author.

A fun historical romance with a mysterious twist
Josie found herself in a situation that many young women in the past did, and the only way out seemed to be to marry a mysterious man that she didn't care about. God was watching over everything and the book followed her journey in riveting detail, with a mystery thrown in for the characters to solve. Great fun!

This is a wonderful addition to the series. I loved Josie and Michah's love story. I loved all the events that led up to their happily ever after. I recommend this book.

This was not the typical mail order bride story. With some really good twists and turns, I found it hard to put down.
I loved that the author had such a strong Christian theme.
The characters were strong and relatable which made the story so much richer for me.
This is the first I’ve read by this author but I will be looking for more by her. I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author. My opinion is my own.

This story had me at page one! Filled with danger, intrigue, despair, love, pretty much any and every emotion one can experience…right here! I am always so encouraged how this author integrates the gospel message in such a way, the reader clearly understands the love of God and His consistent faithfulness, leaving no doubt as to the path to heaven, escaping the eternal flames of hell. Eagerly awaiting “What’s next?”!

This is a great read! Josie and Micah's story has action, suspense, drama and romance. It hooks you on the first page and doesn't let go. I loved reading this book and highly recommend it.

This is a sweet and heartwarming story and is Book #6 in the Rescue Me Mail Order Bride series. This is Josie and Micah's story, and the character development is outstanding. It is a story of a deranged former so-called suitor George, a mentally unbalanced woman, fear, danger, and threats. Josie and her mother flee their home and travel to Wyoming for Josie to become the MOB to Micah in order to escape from George. However soon after their arriving Josie's mother disappears and George threatens her life if Josie does not marry him. Will Josie and Micah be able to overcome all of the adversity and hardships to find a HEA. Be sure and read this wonderful inspirational story that also contains a strong thread of faith and trust in God to provide. It is a real page turner and I know you will enjoy it as much as I did. This book is the sixth installment in the multi-author Rescue Me (Mail Order Brides) series. After Josie Griffin flees to Wyoming to become a mail order bride, she and her intended husband Micah Tanner face daunting obstacles on their way to a happy future together. These obstacles include the exploits of an unscrupulous suitor and a disturbed woman. The plot is fast-paced with several surprising twists. I especially appreciate how the redeeming message of salvation is responsible for one of the major plot twists. The characters are endearing and well-crafted. A touch of sweet romance is delightful. I totally enjoyed this intriguing and inspiring read and highly recommend it. Note: Each book in the series can be read as a standalone in any order.

What a great story! I fell in love with this sweet couple. Josie and Micah were perfect for each other. But they had many obstacles to get through! In the end, justice was served to the bad guys and love won out in the end 🌹

Josie and her mother have fallen on hard times and it seems to her mother that an arranged marriage is the only answer. Josie’s faith guides her decisions and a fascinating series of challenges are beautifully described and creatively tackled. The conclusion is so satisfying. Beth White

This story was full of adventure. A man named George entered into a contract with Josie's mother stating that he would help on the farm when he and Josie get married. Josie can't stand him and doesn't trust him. She didn't know anything about the contract until George got irritated with her and told her that she was under contract to marry him. Josie got the contract from her mother and took it to her friend's house. Her friend Anna's husband was the deputy, so he took the contract to a lawyer. He shared the good news that he discovered with Josie. Josie had been writing to a man in Wyoming and had agreed to marry him. Therefore, due to George's threats, the sheriff and deputy decide that both Josie and her mother need to leave town for their own safety. The adventure doesn't stop there. There's more adventure once they get to Wyoming. This is a sweet and very interesting story.

A cute story !
I liked this book but for some reason I felt like I was reading parts of three different books. I did like it, but it felt off. The ending was really good!
