Book was OK, nice feelgood story, no angst or spice. It wasn't a bad read but it felt that the characters were far younger than indicated. The leads are supposed to be nearly in their 40s and to be quite honest they sounded like they were in their very early 20s...the writing was a bit immature for the supposed age. Sorry 😞
A short, sweet, really clean holiday workplace romance. I wasn't sure what to expect with this one as I just kinda came across it on Scribd, but it was a short read so I figured why not. I'm not normally one for workplace romance stories, but this one was ok. I liked that the narration was dual done, giving both Kelli and Vince their own voice and personalities. There weren't any spicy moments, but honestly this story was good without it. When Vince takes his sister's job offer at a home shopping network, he wasn't expecting to fall in love with holiday loving Kelli, but it happened almost immediately and watching the two characters reach that same conclusion was predictable yet very meet cute. It wasn't my favorite, but I don't regret spending the time listening.
Coworkers should never get involved! 📥 This Christmas two coworkers at SHTV are experiencing layoffs, hoping to follow their dreams and having feelings for each other. As they grow closer, they also end up one another’s Secret Santa. 🎅🏻 Ugh. Another strike out for me. This was from Scribd so it’s audiobook format only. I wanted a cute, quick read and the cover looked like it might deliver—wrong. Ready for more time to dive into longer holiday books that have been recommended to me.
I really enjoyed this sweet clean holiday romance, it was well writtten, had great nods to all kinds of Christmas nostalgia, usually workplace romances are not my thing but this was genuine and enjoyable to listen to on Scribd. I loved the dual narration and these characters will stay with me, highly recommend if you are looking for a sweet holiday clean romance.
