There’s trouble brewing in Durango!

A tyrant without a past is threatening to buy everyone out whether they want to sell or not. Billy Voss is determined to take over and shake the very foundation of their community. Nothing will stand in his way.

Nothing, except a man named Cully.

Setting aside the scars and the pain from his past, bounty hunter Samuel “Cully” McCullough takes on more than he originally set out to conquer. He is in for a journey of self-discovery and a fight for the welfare of his only living relatives.

Family, friends, and honor are what matters most to him, but Cully soon learns that there are two sides to the man he has become. Perhaps he isn’t much different from the outlaws he hunts?

Can Cully unite the citizens to defend their small Colorado town? Will he restore his hope in himself and humanity?

Each book in the Cully the Bounty Hunter series is a standalone story that can be read out of order.

It is, as always another outstanding masterpiece by one of the greatest authors of western folklore adventure writings. The Cully series is a completely satisfying trip that is always family-friendly and very heartwarming experiences of never ending compassionate experiences. Never a dull moment.

As always Cully and his colleagues are forever worthy of five star representation. This series of western folklore is not only a honey rendition of excitement, but it always has suspense and entertaining episodes of infamous gunfights. Mr. Slade always provides his reader's with an overpowering and entertaining selection of characters that portrays what the real old west was about. Too, the very heartwarming, and exciting, storylines are definitely unsurpassed, as they unravel the story behind the story.
I believe I have read the majority of this author's release and as of this date, I can truthfully state, I have never read one that wasn't worthy of my time. There is never the lack of outstanding excitement, romance suspense and entertaining episodes of ongoing gunfights to satisfy the most demanding reader's undivided attention!
Definitely recommend this book, as well as any other release by this outstanding author, especially the Cully series. Even if you don't normally read western stories, it behooves you to follow Cully and his cohorts for their wild rides throughout our old American western folklore adventures! Do yourselves a favor and follow Cully as he does his best to settle the old west once again!

Cully the Bounty Hunter series by Orris Slade always delivers good traditional western adventures with solid action and interesting characters. Cully and the Tyrant serve almost as a conclusion, a pause to the series. Cully seem to pondered more about is future and maybe even getting a wife. In this story we see Cully back in his hometown, reuniting with his sister and many old friends, Cully is helping many peoples of his hometown to get rid of an aggressive conman/land grabber and thoughout the story you get the feeling that he would like to slow down and settle in his town. As always, Orris Slade his a very good storyteller and he kept me entertained throughout the story and I'm happy to see that the series is continuating.

When Cully rides in to his home town of Durango, he rides in to trouble. There is a new resident in town and he is purchasing land through intimidation. He can't be arrested, because nobody will talk. When a home is burnt to the ground, the town pitches in to rebuild, but there is no evidence that Billy Voss is behind it. Cully isn't used to mental games, but he plays along anyway and comes up with a plan to catch him red handed.

The End? I certainly hope not.

I mean come on Mr. Slade. You have brought us this far.....don't leave us hanging. No man is complete without the love of a good woman. Maria would make a good Mrs. Cully or a completely new character. We could even read "Son of Cully". Get with it, chop, chop. Thanks for the series it's.been fun.

Good story

Although I do get tired of endless soul searching and self denigration, not to mention excessive preaching, I still struggle through because the underlying story is worth it.

The Bounty Hunter

I just wish the stories were longer. Easy reads. I’ve read all 6 stories in the series. I recommend theses stories.

Fully and the Tyrant:

This is a book about family. The love between brother and sister was beautiful. And I always enjoy reading about Sully's adventures.

This Cully novel didn't have the same "pop" as previous ones. As well, another dragging ending that felt more like getting words in rather than value.

An OS. Western Adventure/Land Theft/A Lesson Taught

OS. has. penned a western adventure fire thriller, with a touch of God thrown in, where a man comes from the East, buys a ranch, then decides he must expand his ranch and sets about, by book or crook, to take over the same area from the ranchers. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
