This is a fantasy that has come alive. If you love the Nutcracker, you are in for a treat. I am overjoyed with this story, it gets you in the Christmas spirit. The heroine ClaraMarie, thought she was dreaming when she found herself in a world where she has 4 mouth-watering men who are devoted to her and are there to protect her at all costs. She definitely had no complaints about that.
It is essential that ClaraMarie trounce the Mouse Queen and her minions who are of course mice, how nasty. This story has everything, suspense, sexy times and of course who doesn't love a good fight.
Stolen..
The plot thickens!!! I am loving the suspense in this second book in the series. Clara finds herself attracted to her kidnapper, Konig The Mouse Prince of The Land of the Animals. What's that all about? But he is not at all what he appears to be. Clara is also getting closer to her men in more ways than one. Lots of steam, intrigue and thrills.
Crowned
All of the best love stories have one thing in common, you have to go against the odds to get there...
The Nutcracker has been transformed into a story that is both enchanting and captivating. Five hot sexy Princes take Reverse Harem to a whole new level. Clara and her men all join forces to dethrone the wicked and black-hearted Mouse Queen. This story was original and refreshing. Definitely worth 5 stars for escapism.
This fun retelling of the Nutcracker leads us to find ClaraMarie as she is trying out for a part in the dance that will performed at her house one Christmas Eve. But, things don’t go as planned with the tryout or in the evening at the party. After dealing with her brother being unkind to her and breaking her nutcracker, she falls asleep in front of the tree. When she wakes, her world is completely flipped upside down. What follows is an epic adventure.
This was a super fun retelling of the Nutcracker. I loved how Clara’s approach to the solution was outside of the box for what people were expecting of her. Sometimes it is best to go against the grain. I’m glad that I read this during the Christmas season. I really enjoyed this book.
Nowhere, NOWHERE this says this is a Why-choose story. I don't like why choose. The guys usually end up very flat and stiff, cardboard cut-outs of the role they're supposed to have in the story. I decided to give this a chance, though, but the guys started to feel like cardboard figures. Nuss was the "pure", nice guy, Konig the "dark bad boy", the two Fae princes were the sexed-up "queer" guys, I guess, I didn't read far enough to find out (why are bisexual people almost always represented as nymphomaniacs on aphrodisiacs? I'm Bi, and I don't think of, or talk about, sex all the time). And Clara was so "naive" she was borderline stupid. It also started to feel everyone was attracted to the power in her, and not the woman. It bothered me, so this ended up a DNF.
Claimed by The Winter Realm, Books 1-3 of the Claimed by the Seven Realms series by Aidy Award @ aidyaward. I love Aidy’s alter ego Amy so I am hopeful I will love this book!
This was a decently good book about Clara, Nuss, Konig, Zucker, Tau, & Leb! Tropes: Fantasy, Nutcracker Retelling, Why Choose With MM, Rebellion Between Lands/Realms, No 3rd Act Break Up & HEA!
To be honest, I had an extremely hard time reading this book. Some parts were great & others were slow. Not sure if it is because it is an older book of Aidy’s & her writing has gotten better or what. 🤷🏼♀️ In addition, this book has some editing issues that need to be dealt with.
I wanted to enjoy this but the writing is far too childish. I’m not going to force myself to get through it when it’s mostly an instalust/instalove story centered around the sexual relationship of the characters. The romance isn’t believable and the characters are mostly rather flat. Clara started out interesting, but she just melts into a very basic FMC that only has personality traits that suit the MMCs.
1.5 ⭐️s, that .5 is for the fact that this is a nutcracker retelling and I appreciated the many references and how that was incorporated into the story.
This book is an amazing retelling of the Nutcracker story only with a reverse harem storyline that will knock your socks off!! I so enjoyed reading this book that tells of ClairaMarie and her journey through the Seven Realms - finding her princes, fighting off evil, and setting things right again in the realm. If you love the original Nutcracker storyline, your going to love this twist of the storytelling. Magnificent! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The descriptive details were amazing. The realm, the different kingdoms, the Christmas details were all incredible. The ONLY reason I’m not giving it a 5 star is because I feel like the end didn’t live up to the rest of the book.
Don’t get me wrong ending was great. But the whole story was filled with so much detail and story that the way the ending wrapped up so quickly just felt like it was rushed. Like I didn’t get enough of an ending with the characters.
However…. (SPOILER-ish) I’m truly hoping that with the way the ending happened with the portals and realization of different realms that each realm gets a book like this one. Then maybe after all of those books the realms somehow come together in their own books….? I think that would be amazing. I guess I can dream.
