Colin Novak is the big man on campus. Huge—if the rumors are to be believed. Nearly every girl at Davidson University has had a ride on him . . . everyone, except me.

Which is fine. This frat boy may be irritatingly hot, all carved muscle with a deceptively wholesome smile, but that’s irrelevant. He’s a Sig.

When I catch his fraternity cheating at the Greek Week tournament, he denies it—causing our rivalry between houses to escalate. Colin and I may have started the mud fight, but it grows into an all-out war, and ends with us expelled from our houses.

Now I’m homeless and it’s all his fault.

So, while answering an ad for a leading role at an adult film company wasn’t part of my career path, the work comes with a lot of perks. Steady salary. Accommodations close to campus. A safe place to explore my fantasies.

Except when I show up for my audition, my partner is none other than my new archenemy—Colin. And our sexual chemistry is explosive.

We hate how attracted we are to each other, and I despise that I want every scene to be with him. Because the longer we live together, the more I see he’s not who I thought he was.

This frat boy was so easy to hate . . . but what if he’s even easier to love?

Okay, this book as HOTTT. It was super spicy, but the spice was actually the plot and I was obsessed with the push and pull between Colin and Madison. They hate each other because they blame each other for getting kicked out of their fraternity/sorority houses. Little do they know that they both answered the same adult film ad and show up to the interview where they have to try out. Together. They hate each other, but they are too proud to say no and agree. They did not expect to have such explosive chemistry and I loved how long it took them to finally give into each other. They danced around each other so much but I loved every scene of them together. Definitely my favorite of the series now!!

… Is this my FAVORITE BOOK??????

This is a legitimate question, because I was BLOWN AWAY by it. Truly. You know that feeling when you find a book that you can't bear to put down, but you also don't want to read too fast because you don't want it to end??? I hadn't had one of those in a while, but The Frat Boy just completely took me by surprise.

First of all, there's the plot, which is insane and everything you could possibly want in a romance novel.

Basically, Madison Perry and Colin Novak are seniors in college; she's part of a sorority and he's part of a fraternity. Their houses are finalists in the Greek Week Tournament (is this a thing?), and one of Colin's frat brothers cheats in the final test, which leads to the frat's victory and claim to the cash prize.

Madison raises hell about the cheating, but no one believes her – which is the story of her life, really. Colin gets particularly annoyed that Madison is "lying" in order to get the prize, and the both of them end up literally slinging mud at each other, starting an epic fight that lands on the news and gets them both kicked out of their houses.

Both of them are suddenly homeless, broke and unable to ask for their families' help; luckily, they simultaneously find an ad. For porn.

I can't, it's too good!!! And also 🔥🔥🔥🔥

When they show up to film their audition scene and realize that they are each other's partners, their rage is out of control. Enemies to lovers at its finest. But the scene ends up going really well, and both of them are hired to work for this production company, and have to live in the same house and have sex all the time. With each other. And other people.

I'm sure the premise is pretty much all the convincing you need to read this book, but, I have to say, the writing is SO good. I love Nikki Sloan and this Nashville Neighborhood series (The Pool Boy is a favorite that I'm definitely going to reread soon), but this book is just completely off the charts. It's insanely compelling and easy to read, and the sex scenes are written like nothing I've read before in the sense that there is SO MUCH character work happening.

All the other characters are interesting and fun as well, but the book definitely has a laser focus on Madison and Colin, in the best way. There's the whole found family thing with their bosses and housemates, but, really, this is their show. No pun intended.

This became a favorite very unexpectedly and is definitely going into my top 10 of the year (maybe top 5?). Run don't walk!!!!

I’d come here tonight to try new things, new experiences, and he’d done that, all right. I just hadn’t expected him to fuck both my body and my mind so completely.

Sweet mother of ovaries. I think I had honest to god hot flashes reading this. This was by far, hands down, my favorite book in this series so far. And it was most certainly the hottest.

How this author can write pure filth and yet still have such amazing character and plot development is a skill unlike any other. I mean, she's written pure porn, literally, and yet it was as swoon as it was filthy. My mind is just blown. BLOWN I tell you. Pun intended. But I digress.

Colin is Preston's friend from The Doctor. Funny enough as much as I disliked Preston in that book, he's seriously growing on me. But I digress again.

Madison and Colin are competing in greek games for their respective frat and sorority until it all goes very wrong and they both get kicked out. There is no love lost between these two for sure and most especially when the manwhoring frat boy is responsible for Madison losing her home at her sorority. Desperate times have her answering an ad and fulfilling her deepest fantasies at the same time. The last thing she expects is for her partner in the audition scene to be none other than Colin. Living together and 'acting' together isn't what she wants, and neither is the insatiable chemistry between them.

Admittedly I thought this would be an MM when I originally read the blurb. Reading it back, I'm not sure why. Maybe wishful thinking? But what it was, was a super hot MF with MFM and MFF and MFFM scenes. Fiery hot I tell you.

I loved watching these two fall for each other. But what I loved more was finally, FINALLY seeing that HOA president Judy get her comeuppance. GAWD. I've been waiting four books for this and it was glorious. And that ending was pure perfection.

If you're looking for a romance that's utterly filthy but has plenty of heart and plot, look no further!

I LOVED THIS. This was SO much fun to read. Two college students who hate each other get kicked out from their fraternity/sorority and end up finding a new job/place with... a porn company. So we have two up-and-coming porn stars living with FOUR other seasoned adult performers, and as you can guess, things heat up. I loved the hate and tension between Madison and Colin – they get wild and dirty and I just had the best time reading their romance. I mean, this book deserves 5 stars alone for making me love a frat boy lol. This is now my favorite of the Nashville Neighborhood series!

This series had gotten better and better with each book. Until this one. It wasn't a bad book by any means but for me personally I struggled so much to connect. I got really invested in the last 30% where I felt like the storyline picked up, but up until then it was just okay for me personally. I liked both Madison and Colin, I just wish I would have felt more connected with them earlier on.

HOLY SPICYYYY

madison and colin are both college students in greek life but a greek week event gone wrong finds them both kicked out of their houses with nowhere to go. they’re both on the adventurous side and apply to an ad to shoot *corn* that includes housing but neither know the other applied. imagine their surprise when they have to audition with each other and their mutual hatred = explosive sexual tension.

this was SO good. perfect for when you just want a super spicy, fast-paced read to get your mind off things. there’s lots of *activities* with other members of the house but the two MCs connection is undeniable.

also, the event that got them kicked out was a big misunderstanding so the aftermath of that was the side plot and it was honestly super interesting and fun to read (though i might be biased because i was in a sorority).

also also, we get a fun little cameo from the doctor if you’ve read that one too.

Quelle surprise! I thoroughly enjoyed this smutty book. It had an interesting plot and character motivations which made complete sense.

The Frat Boy was much improved from The Doctor, which is the first book in this series of stand-alone Nashville Neighbourhood novels, and a book I gave one lonely star.

The premise is this: Our main characters get kicked out of their respective sorority and frat house, and due to life circumstances, both of them turn to sex work in order to make ends meet, leading them to become co-workers and roommates in a house that doubles as a production company of adult videos.

✔️ It's wonderfully sex-positive
✔️ He's cocky, but in a delightful way
✔️ He falls first and hardest
✔️ I loved the FMC's personal growth
✔️ The audiobook narrators were excellent*

*The FMC is voiced by the same woman who narrates Feyre in the Graphic Audio version of ACOTAR. The narrator of the MMC was new to me, and because he did such a great job, I'll be looking into his other work.

So why the half-star off?
✗ I was slightly disappointed in the ending because, after the whole journey, it felt like we needed to wrap it up in a bow. And by bow I mean smut lmao. Jokes aside, the ending was less emotionally satisfactory because it didn't have that emotional and sexual catharsis.

I'm never one to argue for more spice scenes just for the hell of it. In this case, I feel it was needed.

Other than that, this smutty little book ticked all the boxes 👍👍

Imagine getting put of your house because you started a fight with a boy and that same boy turns up at an audition to be porn stars? Then imagine having to live under the same roof with him and continue to make content with him and watch him do it with your other housemates:) YEAH IMAGINE

I gotta say I was pleasantly shocked well not really. I was expecting something entirely different than what Nikki delivered based on the name The Frat Boy. This is no college romance the contents of this book are definitely GROWN and I ate every bit of it up.

The tension and angst and hate between these two was so addictive. I could not put the book down. The spice was tooooo good and the plot was one I never read before.

Watching them fall for each other no matter how hard they tried to keep things “professional” was a treat and I loved them so much.

Low drama, hot as Fück spice and great banter. If you’re looking for something fun, easy and SPICY. Pick this up.

Well, well, well, look what's going down in the neighborhood. Which neighborhood? Well, the Nashville Neighborhood of course! Nikki Sloane brings the heat in this unique, fun, steamy, and delightful new romance. I could NOT put the book down.

I have to say, I just really love how this series connects in a subtle way. The stories intertwine and yet are completely independent. Because that is how life IS in a neighborhood, maybe yours is as spicy as this fictional one... most likely NOT, but that's part of the fun. Do we really know what goes on next door?

I will admit to a bit of trepidation when I started this one. Not an age gap, not really that taboo, not 3rd person looking to enter the relationship... but I should not have feared. Nikki Sloane did NOT let me down. There were scenes involving MFM, FFM, and MFFM scenarioes... so it's gonna get spicy!

When Madison and Colin have a bit of a dust up and both get kicked out of their Greek row houses, they both are in a tough spot but for totally different reasons. They both answer an ad that has them in a pretty unique job, a job that has them up close and VERY personal with each other. With work involving a place to live in exchange for "making a certain kind of spicy content", if you get my drift. Will their animosity get the best of them or fuel their chemistry at their new work place/living space?

I don't know how much is spoilers for this story so I don't want to ruin it, but let's just say it isn't your typical college romance. If you've read Nikki Sloane's Blindfold club, you may even recognize a name or two. That was great fun!

Of course, there is still nosy Judy at the HOA, and boy oh boy, is she as nasty as ever. Cameos from all our previous faves and some new and unique steamy situations and this was so much fun.

My only tiny detractor was that I wanted a bit more resolution for Madison's family situation and a few more "work scenes" with others... but I'm a greedy girl.. but really, the relationship had an amazing build up, Colin was so sweet with the way he wooed her. And the 3rd act conflict was all external. Just a joy to read!

I really hope Nikki Sloane isn't done in this series, but I also can't wait for whatever she does next. Sign me up either way!

Omg omg omg omg. I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

What happens when you get in a fight with a frustratingly hot fraternity guy that ends up with both of you getting kicked out of your frat/sorority houses & no where else to go? You answer an ad for the leading role of an adult film company of course 🤷🏼‍♀️ & guess who ends up as your partner. No one other than the guy you wish you could never see AGAIN.

This one hit sooooo good. I was in a sorority back in my college days so I really enjoyed it 👅👅 it gave me so many fun fantasies to enjoy heh

Also, I think this is my favorite Nikki Sloane book EVER. It was soooo hot & I am a big ole fan of books that have adult film stars… and we get that here bless UP💦 Jesus did she hit the mark with literally ever fantasy scene you could want: student/prof, stepbro/stepsis, stepmom, swapping couples, etc etc.

I knew Colin was going to be so f*cking hot & he definitely met my expectations & more!! Madison was also amazing & I love how you could feel as if you were in her shoes as she was going through all these new experiences! AHHH.

AND NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP!!!!

Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶.5

Tropes:
Enemies to lovers
Roommates to Lovers

Frat boys hold less than zero appeal to me, however, Nikki took this in a direction I wasn't expecting. (I have no idea if it was only a surprise to me because I didn't read the synopsis.) There were a few things that were a little to convenient and the antagonist was a little one-dimensional, but there were some super swoony moments and the steam was on point.

“Once the newness wore off, would the excitement fade and this sex work would truly feel like work? I hoped not. Everyone else seemed to enjoy what they did.”
This is exactly my thoughts. I aren’t blind to think this story doesn’t happen, but it’s needed work to doesn’t bite in your a*s in the future.

She was so beautiful it made breath halt in my lungs. Why the fuck had we waited so long and fought so hard against this?

If you know me, then you know I love the Nashville Neighborhood series. Every single book is the perfect amount of taboo blended with the perfect amount of falling in love. Madison and Colin are no exception to that. I love that these two start out in sort of a rivals/enemies position. There is definitely no love lost between these two, but they find themselves in a position where they have to work/live together. Oh, and their new job is sex work. Filming erotic content to stream online.

It’s tense of course, but all that said their chemistry is off the charts and it’s so fun to read. They aren’t happy about it, obviously, but neither of them can deny they work well together. Anyway. This book is much more than two people who dislike each other filming sexy scenes together. I thought it was another fun exploration in what relationships can look like. About exploring sexuality and just feeling free in your sexuality. Plus, it’s just fun to read about two people falling in love while being in a scenario that isn’t commonly written about even though digital sex work is extremely common. As per usual I love seeing the MCs from the previous books make appearances and some of the side characters from the past getting what they deserve. Sigh. I love this series.

Loved this book and I am hoping and crossing my fingers and toes that we eventually get a book about Preston. I feel like he’s earned his redemption arc.

I mean she didn’t even try to look for a job……. just went straight into the adult film world…..

By Thursday morning, I was in a total panic. I had twenty-nine hours to find a place or end up sitting with my stuff on the front curb of the sorority. I had enough money in my bank account I could stay at a hotel for a few days, but it’d be tough to afford to eat too, and what was I going to do after the money was gone?

idk maybe look for a job first and then try making porn for extra money or as your last resort 🤔🤔🤔

”I guess what I’m getting at is, when our performers enjoy themselves, so do our viewers. Does the thought of doing this . . . turn you on at all? I get that you’re nervous, but is part of you excited too?”
Under the table, I pinched my knees together, but I could have sworn she still noticed. My voice dropped to a whisper. “Yes.”
Her eyebrow lifted in perfect time with the corner of her mouth. “Yeah? Anything particular you’re interested in?”
All the moisture in my body began to migrate south. She was a gorgeous woman, and the way she stared at me was provocative, like she was thinking about having me for dessert. And if she wanted to, well . . . maybe I’d let her.
She’d asked what I was interested in, and so I gave her an honest answer.
“Um, is it weird if I say all of it?” I took a quick gulp of my martini, giving me courage to say the rest. “When I got to college, I thought that was the time I was going to try all these new things. New experiences. I was supposed have sex in wild places, with guys, or girls, or guys and girls. But instead, I spent two years with him, and . . . none of that happened. My window is closing.”

hmmmm interesting theory 🤓

I actually loved this book but the reason for the low rating is because I didn't like that the main characters had sex with other people. I know that they are porn stars and don't have feelings for the other people they are having sex with but the whole open relationship thing just isn't for me, personally. Reverse harem?? I'm all for it and I love it, but I just don't like the whole "we love each other but we're gonna have sex with other people" thing, even if it is just their job.

This series consists of the best spicy taboo books. That's why I'm beyond excited about this. 👀

I remember from the second book that Colin was named the frat boy so maybe it's about him. ✨

Oh, now, this book... this book had it all. The concept, the freedom, the combinations, the tension. Just, wow. You can find both some regular MF, but also FF, FFM, MFM, and other delicious spice in this book. Nashville Neighborhood is a spicy ride sprinkled with some taboo!

Madison and Colin start off as sort of enemies with each other being the reason for their abrupt exit from a sorority/fraternity they were part of. They manage to get themselves a house to live which is coincidentally connected with being in a porn production.

As I mentioned, when it comes to the spice, this one is quite the ride with the combination. There is some 🍑 play, voyeurism, role play, praise and many other things. 🥵

Frankly, the spice was amazing, and the sizzling connection between the characters too, but it lacked something other than sex for me. Some sustenance. I wasn't a big fan of the Riley drama and the ending also left me feeling without a proper closure. I know it's usual for this series but this one felt off especially.

3.5 stars

This was an almost perfect book for me! I wasnt expecting this enemies to lovers new adult romance to be soooo good! The tension between the characters was OFF THE CHARTS.

After both Colin and Madison gets kicks out of their fraternity and sorority, they are both looking for a place to live. When they both answer an ad to start making adult films, the first scene is with each other. Literally from that moment on, the tension just gets higher and higher.

It was steamy and spicy and soo sexy. I loved the talk about sex workers and how normal it is. It was such an enjoyable read.

Overall Grade: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Tropes: hate to love; new adult; close proximity; menage; one bed; LGBTQIA

Warnings for you as you enter Nikki Sloane’s newest Nashville Neighborhood romance, The Frat Boy:

1. Do not enter it with delicate sensibilities. If you can imagine it, you become desensitized to the $exiness of this romance. Oh, and by the way, there is nothing wrong with that.

2. Don’t let the blurb for this romance fool you. Yes, a frat boy named Colin plays heavily into the *ahem* erotic romance. However, it’s sorority girl Madison who steals the show in this book. Colin is everything you love about a Nikki Sloane hero (male character), but Madison, for me, is the true star.

3. If you’re like me and you either have a college-aged child OR you teach college-aged people, just…suspend your disbelief or feign ignorance. Just look through the fingers of your hand as you would a horror movie.

That aside, I enjoyed just about every moment of Nikki Sloane’s The Frat Boy. I mean, the premise of it is troubling (only in so far as Madison and Colin are desperate to find relief from their situations, so they choose to star in adult entertainment), so, again, suspend your disbelief, but this is Nikki Sloane’s Nashville Neighborhood, where turning the page of the stories, adds steam to your glasses…or other places down south (wink wink). But this book is ultimately about choice, about one’s autonomy to make decisions for themselves beyond societal expectations. Sloane takes this concept and plays with it throughout the stories of her Nashville Neighborhood romances. She asserts this the deepest, I think, in The Frat Boy. She also elaborates on the consequences of choice, and she uses Madison and Colin’s characterizations to drive the emotional impact of them.

I asserted above that Madison is the star of The Frat Boy. Namely, it’s because she takes a journey of $exual freedom. After personal heartbreak, she realizes that she had hoped to experiment more in college. With her college days dwindling, she recognizes an opportunity to live out her erotic bucket list. She finds herself through this experience, aside from finding a mate in her adversary Colin. Colin’s characterization acts as a foil for Madison through the first half of the story, but, like her, he comes into his own as well, forgoing his parent’s expectations for him as a way to live an easier life. Their journeys are juxtaposed against the politics of the Nashville Neighborhood, led by pesky, mean-spirited, rules-driven Judy. Like Madison’s ex-, like Colin’s parents, like Riley, Colin’s nemesis, Judy represents the stricture of societal expectations. Throughout this series, various characters push against it, and Judy’s reaction becomes more authoritarian. It’s easy to get lost in the eroticism of this book and the series, but it’s Sloane’s insistence for her readers to consider what the eroticism is pushing against, and it’s the restriction of choice. You can almost hear the sentence, “if it isn’t hurting you, why do you care?” whispered over the pages of The Frat Boy and its predecessors. Sloane takes erotic romance and grafts an argument for choice into it.

The Frat Boy is titillating and enticing. I picked it up intent on reading a few pages before putting it down again. Before I knew it, I had finished the book, beguiled by Nikki Sloane’s storytelling. If you love the thrill of $exual freedom, this is the book for you. Oh…and the neighborhood finally gets its day.

The smut was good. Downright filthy. But just not for me. Idky but the idea of an open relationship doesn't sit right with me. I guess it's just not for me tbh. Polyamorous (RH) on the other hand? Yeah I dig that shit. Not a huge fan of messing around with other people when you have feelings for someone else - even if it's just work/porn. Overall, the writing was good though the plotline felt weak. Pretty much skimmed the book towards the end, but it was still a decent read and hence the 3 stars for it.

Safety Squad:
- Open relationship (both MCs and side characters)
- MCs are adult film stars
- FF/FFM/MFM/MFMF
- taboo aspects
- college aged MCs (not virgins)
- safe sex (initially) + sex w/o condoms
- mentions of cheating (h's ex)
- H's past manwhoring

Is this plot ridiculous? Absolutely. But I’m not here for the plot, I’m here for the smut. And I was not disappointed. 🥵

Please note: the main characters enter into the porn industry so they do have sex with other people. They are okay with it, but if you’re not just skip on over this one.
