Adachi and Kurosawa are so cute. In this volume, they announce their engagement to both of their families. I absolutely love the character growth, particularly on Adachi's part - he was so shy and anxious at the beginning, and now he stands up for their love.

Adachi is done working in another city and moves back to live with Kurosawa. They also decide to break the news to their families that they are engaged and love each other. Adachi’s family would make any person proud to be apart of them. They welcome Kurosawa with open arms. On the other hand Kurosawa’s parents took a bit more to deal with. He hides that fact from Adachi who in turn becomes upset with the lie that hid that truth from him. You can feel for both of them with how valid the points Kurosawa’s parents made about the struggles they might find down the line. You also want to root for them, their future and have faith in the strength of their love for each other. Also no Tsuge and Minato in this volume. 😑😩

Fujisaki-san's eating good tonight 🙏

Also can I just say how wholesome Adachi's family is, cause damn. They were all so cute and accepting. I felt so terrible for Kurosawa and his parents reaction but I know the power of KuroAda will turn their opinion 🙌✨

Also, I know the author mentioned it but I was a little sad not to see Tsuge and Minato this volume 😔

Are wedding bells going to be ringing soon for our heroes? It sure looks like it! This is a meet-the-parents volume, which initially made me quite nervous, but the guys are up for it, no worries.
Their relationship is just the sweetest. I adore them both.

amo, esta historia y al final que bueno que decidí leer el manga como siempre no todo se puede llevar a la pantalla. pero la esencia de la serie esta ahí... tanto en la versión Japonesa como en la Tailandesa.

There is a proposal in this volume! Adachi's family is really nice and welcomes Kurosawa whereas the situation isn't quite as untroubled with Kurosawa's parents. It feels fairly realistic that families in Japan would react in these ways so there is a nice touch of realism to this volume.

There are, however, plenty of romantic scenes as well as their first fight as a couple. Their relationship is allowed to have different facets, which allows a multi-dimensional relationship to unfold.

God, the hecking relief. I don't care that it would be realistic if their parents reacted in a worst way (I mean Kurosawa's mum takes to bed but for like a page), I don't want to read about it - I had enough with my own coming out. They are in love and I love them.

Adachi is still working in Nagasaki, but Kurosawa got a contract with a local pottery brand that brings him to Nagasaki frequently. Now they are able to see each other more often, and we can continue to watch their relationship develop. People are starting to notice the engagement rings, but no one is putting two and two together. Fujisaki is still fantasizing about the two of them, and is thrilled when she finds Kurosawa stays with Adachi when he goes to Nagasaki.

They have a really sweet moment when Adachi takes Kurosawa to look at a church as they both think more and more about what being together forever means, and now that Adachi’s back, they are able to move in together. Adachi’s mom and brother have noticed his ring, so he decides to bring Kurosawa home to meet them. His family is super supportive, and their main surprise doesn’t seem to be that Adachi’s brought a man home, but that he brought home someone of Kurosawa’s caliber. (Leave it to family to undervalue you.)

Kurosawa’s family isn’t as receptive, and we find out his mom had a breakdown when she found out, but they do come around and seem to be supportive once they meet Adachi.

Overall, another sweet addition to the series.

I love this series more with each installment, which is lovely.

So this volume is what's covered in the film, not the series, if you're keeping track. It's Adachi finishing up his work in Nagasaki and realizing he's good at things; it's both of them meeting each other's parents, which is when I decided while watching the film that this was a series I was going to keep. The difference between the two meetings and the ways in which the responses clearly stemmed from the families that shaped Kurosawa and Adachi are *so good* and so real and both of them have such great speeches; this is where I am fully, totally convinced that the two of them are in this for real. The art here is also marvelous with several vista-esque shots showing Adachi and Kurosawa being in each other's space and truly, calmly happy about it. Ah, I can't wait for book nine; I'm so proud of these characters for how much growing and talking and discovering they're doing, and Adachi himself points out how much he's changed and been changed by knowing Kurosawa. Such a great relationship precisely because it has so much of the "how do we live out the happily ever after" aspect.

Adachi transfer back to the original company where Kurosawa, along with several familiar minor characters, still works at, and it was cute seeing his coworkers at the transfer job send him off in such a warm fashion; I hope to see more of those side characters in the future. Although most importantly, Adachi and Kurosawa got to meet each other’s families to announce their engagement.
Adachi’s family was adorable to see everyone much more vocal compared to him, along with his niece and nephew just adoring their uncle and meeting his “princely” fiancé; hints at Adachi’s brother having a bit of a adoration-like complex towards him was also adorable. Meeting Kurosawa’s parents was a bit of a tense experience but in the end, it was very sweet seeing Adachi be so firm in his love for Kurosawa and seeing him stand-up to them. It was definitely one of those moments to show how much growth he’s gone through throughout this manga series and it was very rewarding to read.
This volume, however, didn’t have anything of Tsuge and Minato so I’m curious to see what happens with them since their little slow-burn romance ended on a cliffhanger.

This gave me everything I've been wanting from this series. We see the two spending time together in daily life. They each meet the other's parents. One is a great experience and the other is a learning experience. Together, they both support each other.

There is also a proposal in this story. Yes, it was amazing how they set it up. Very down to earth. The cute meter is off the chart here. So much sugar. They really do make a good couple. They discuss things more now and clear the air. It's just so good.

Adachi is moving back to his old job and he's going to move in with Kurosawa. I'm excited for the next volume. People at work are beginning to figure things out. People notice that both of them got rings at the same time.

This is my favorite volume in the series, but it's because it's built to this volume so well that it works. It's been such a fun series.

Despite Adachi’s transfer to the Nagasaki branch, the relationship between him and Kurosawa is still going strong. The proactive (and smitten) Kurosawa landed a contract with a prominent pottery artist in Nagasaki which increased the chances of the cute couple to meet more often. As they settle into an understanding and adorable routine, the two decide to take their relationship to a new level: Marriage. And for that, they must overcome another hurdle: Meeting the parents.

I was really scared for my puppies in this edition, but as always, the creator manages to combine their idealistic hopes with uncomfortable reality by showing how strong and committed they are to each other. It was heartwarming to see the besotted couple have their first fight for very valid reasons, even as they clear the room of any misunderstandings due to non-communication.

A solid, sensible instalment.
