They say my spells go awry. Pish posh, it’s a lie.
I have the love of my life. My best friend will soon be a wife.
Now it’s time to help a lad. In the land of Ireland.
Wealth Spell – A fourth leaf clover A wad of cash A money clip to store it fast Light it on fire and repeat after me, all good will and fortune go unto thee
A Bit of Wee Luck is the third novella in a four book series. Each book ends on a small cliffy leading into the next book!

This is the 3rd book in the Holidaze in Salem series by Kelly Elliott. I've made it a tradition to read them they day they come out and have enjoyed all three novellas so far. It was a sweet update on Lucas and Hollie, now living in Ireland. I enjoy how the story matches the holiday in which the books are released. I'll definitely continue reading them as they are published.
I absolutely love these books!! Ms. Elliott always makes me smile and laugh out loud with this series. I love that Hollie's such a happy character. So full of love and joy....It makes me want to be more like her. And Lucas, what can I say. His love for Hollie always shines thru even when her well meaning spells go wrong. 😉 Their adventure in Ireland is fantastic! I cannot wait to see what happens next!!
'Will the third time be Hollie’s charm? Or will her latest spell-casting have interesting results once more? There's only one way to find out, try your luck with Kelly Elliotts latest novella, A Bit of Wee Luck!' - The British Bibliophile' Welcome back to the third of four novellas in Kelly Elliott's Holidaze in Salem series, appropriately titled A Bit of Wee Luck . Lucas and Hollie’s story continues here in this story which will see them on the next leg of their journey in Ireland. Which you might or might not have guessed due to the stunning illustrated cover!
The second that this little gem popped into my inbox last night, I knew I had to read it immediately! I've been waiting for a continuation to the little nugget of information that was dropped right at the end of book two, A Bit of Holly Jolly , which if you have read it, you'll know what that is. Kelly knows I'm not a fan off cliffhangers, but knowing that this series (after book one, A Bit of Hocus Pocus) was going to be a series of novellas following the same pair of main characters, I made an exception to my rule and fully embraced the impending cliffhangers. Thankfully though, book four is the only one left and knowing the Happily Ever After--minus the cliffhanger--is within reach, makes this read all the sweeter.
Out of the three novellas so far in this series, A Bit of Wee Luck is the smallest of the bunch and therefore perfect for any readers looking to quickly--or just regularly--devour a small, yet hearty read. Though it is small, it holds a wealth of story-telling information. There was no lacking in action going on, or Hollie’s hijinks for that matter. If you've liked the shenanigans of books one and two, I promise you they're continued here and with hilarious results you're going to love!
It was the best time being reunited with Holly and Lucas, I've genuinely missed them. Would I love to see this pair in perhaps their own full-length novel? Hell yes! Although that may not be a possibility, I have to praise Kelly in giving us a little adventure with them in each novella in this series. This latest addition to the series brings things one step closer to my own home, being a short jaunt across the Irish Sea. Throughout this book, a lot felt very familiar and was a very comforting read. I'm sure fellow UK and Irish readers will echo my statement.
Although I'm sad--in a way--to have already closed this chapter, as I've thoroughly enjoyed the scene set in Ireland, I'm very much looking forward to the next and final chapter.
Absolutely love Hollie & Lucas, this series just makes me smile and i can't wait for the final book in this series. This time we get to see the follow on from A Bit of Holly Jolly and Holly's big news for Lucas and how he reacts!! The couple now in Ireland while Lucas works his new dig site. Love how Holly just can't help herself and the way Lucas' love for her just shows through. I am loving this series so much and the little cliff hangers she leaves us wanting more. Thank you Kelly
Kelly Elliott does it every time - Small town feels meets magic meets an Irish Pub! This quick read continues for Hollie and Lucas, this time in Ireland and of course, July 2023 can’t come soon enough!!! An ending to keep you holding on! Thanks Kelly!
These are cute, quick novellas. This time our couple Lucas and Hollie, are in Ireland and of course one of Hollie’s spells goes a little awry, but have no fear, it all works out.
A wonderful early Saint Patrick’s Day surprise from Kelly Elliott. I absolutely loved A Bit of Wee Luck by Kelly Elliott, the third book in her new Holidaze in Salem novella series! Kelly Elliott has once again delivered another wonderful romance with A Bit of Wee Luck and has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love all the characters in A Bit of Wee Luck and how feel like best friends! Kelly Elliott continues to deliver all that and so much more. I have read other books by Kelly Elliott and have always enjoyed her wonderfully written love stories. Kelly Elliott has once again proven that she is an incredible storyteller. A Bit of Wee Luck truly did not disappoint, it was impossible to put it down and I loved every moment on every page. One of my favorite parts is how Kelly Elliott incorporated the title of the book into the love story. I love that Kelly Elliott writes her stories in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting inside their minds and knowing their thoughts and how they really feel. A Bit of Wee Luck is a wonderful love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Kelly Elliott love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing aloud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. A Bit of Wee Luck is filled with such moments, and with so much more. A Bit of Wee Luck continues to follow the relationship of Hollie Craft, owner of party planning company Holidaze in Salem and Lucas Dayton, city archaeologist. I love how the surprise revealed at the end of the previous books strengthens and changes their relationship. Hollie and Lucas are together in Ireland where Lucas is working on an archaeological dig site. Lucas has been patronizing the local Irish pub, O’Brien’s that is across the street from his hotel. Lucas is concerned about Benny the owner of the family pub, which has been in his family for generations. Business is slow at the pub, and Lucas is worried for Benny’s and the pub’s future. Once again, Hollie chooses to use her magick to cast a good fortune spell on Benny. I am so glad the Hollie finally mastered her magick and that this time it was really a spell and not a hex, but the results of the spell are more than Hollie and Lucas expected. Benny’s fortune does indeed change, not only has O’Brien’s business increased, but changes are also occurring in his personal life as well. I love Hollie’s relationship with her sister, Sarah and how she is always seeking advice from Sarah regarding her magick and her spells. A love the surprises that take place throughout the story, and once again Kelly Elliott leaves her readers with a cliffhanger ending. A Bit of Wee Luck is filled with bittersweet and poignant moments and the surprise plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in Kelly Elliott's stories. A Bit of Wee Luck is an incredibly written love story, and I loved every moment. I especially love the cliffhanger ending of the story. Highly recommend this beautifully written story. Looking forward to reading A Bit of Razzle Dazzle the final book in the series.
Kelly Elliott has once again brought us another Holly adventure this time across the pond and oh boy the Irish better watch out. If we learned one thing about Holly Craft is the spells she does are never boring or disappointing from her. Not only doesthis book with her romance with Lucas but we see new characters that have no idea what just crashed into their life in a woman like Holly. You would think after being a part of Holly's spells Lucas would know better to keep her away from magic. I mean hello Ireland is all about luck and magic she just seems at home in this little town with Benny and his family. Kelly Elliott not only brought these two together again but we see Ireland and Bennys family come to life with her words and imagination. In a way Holly Craft went to Ireland and took us with her seeing it through her eyes purely magical. Cannot wait to see what she does with Lucas next after the cliffhanger Kelly Elliott gave us all eyes will be on Lucas. Loved it.
"I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own."
This novella series is best read in order, as each story builds upon the previous one and the characters develop over time. While each book can be read as a standalone, reading them out of order may spoil some of the surprises and character growth.
The series follows the misadventures of Hollie, a quirky and lovable woman who has a talent for getting into trouble. As she starts to embrace her witch side and learning to create spells.
As she follows Lucas to Ireland, she can't stop herself from trying to help a struggling Pub owner. Only in true Hollie form and ignoring Lucas's no spell advice, she works up a little spell only for it to not start off exactly as she had hoped.
Overall, this series is a fun and lighthearted read that will have you laughing out loud. The characters are charming and endearing, and the romance is sweet and satisfying. So if you're looking for a feel-good romance series to curl up with, this one is definitely worth checking out.
5 star Review A Wee Bit Of Luck (Holidaze in Salem #3) by Kelly Elliott
If you haven't read the first two books in Kelly Elliott’s latest series then STOP. These books need to be read in order, so you have been warned. After reading and loving tge previous books I could not wait to see what was in store for Hollie Craft and Lucas Dayton.
I quickly found myself hooked on the story as these characters are so endearing that you cannot help but fall for them. Perhaps because my family are from Ireland, this one called to me.
There was a good mix of passion, romance and witty banter, add in spells that seem to go wrong and you have a well written, entertaining story that left me with a smile on my face.
It may not be a long book but it certainly ticked all the boxes for me.
I’m loving everything about this series and A Wee Bit of Luck is the perfect addition but I do have to say please do not pick this book up unless you have read the previous two books because this series needs to be read in order. Catching up with Holly Craft and Lucas Dayton in Ireland is really magical and once again I found myself captivated and ignoring real life while I got my fix of this couple. This may be a quick read but it still packs a mighty punch and it was a entertaining, witty read that left a big smile on my face. If you love magical reads look no further than the Holidaze in Salem Series.
Hollie and Lucas are back in the third installment of the Holidaze in Salem novella series (please note that this is NOT a standalone title). Only this time, they are in Ireland, and Hollie has this spell thing down for sure now…right? With her sister’s guidance—and a bit of luck of the Irish—surely she’ll nail this wealth spell for their new friend. Start with a bit of the paranormal, add a dash of steam plus a lot of laughs, and Kelly Elliott has just the right mix of ingredients to keep us coming back for more from this fun and funny couple. Hang on for the wild ride that is Hollie and Lucas!
A Bit of Wee Luck is book three in the Holidaze in Salem series, and yes, you need to read them in order!
During Greg and Janet's party, Lucas proposes to Holly on Christmas eve in the gazebo in his parent's backyard. Lucas comes clean about an opportunity in Ireland, and Holly agrees that he should go; they should go together. Lucas goes ahead and sets up a place for them to live, and Holly follows six weeks later. They befriend the local pub owners across the street from their flat, and Holly tries her hand at Magick in helping the owners out of debt and finds that he gets himself a woman or two. Now on to trying to find the owner's sister a love match.
Lucas and Hollie continue but this time in Ireland. Hollie is now pregnant and living life with Lucas as he took a job in Ireland. A once in a lifetime dig site.
Hollie as always is up to no good with her spells as she wants to help Benny and his family. This time though the spell didn't go wrong. Hollie did it. As things started looking up for Benny and his family. Hollie and Lucas take another step in their relationship and who knows where their future is heading and not in a bad way!
This is a cute quick book. You love the irish, witchy vibes, and spice A Bit Of Wee Luck has it.
With Hollie joining Lucas in Ireland and a baby surprise on the way; and guess who cannot help herself... HOLLIE!!! Lucas and Hollie get to tour Ireland on his days off from the dig site but leave Hollie on her own. A spell is created to help the local pub that Lucas has become to love and so does Hollie. Is third time the charm??? It just might be for Hollie but is her witch side a little to powerful with a bun in the oven?! I cannot for more in love with this short mini series, Kelly has done it yet again. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I loved getting another look into Hollie and Lucas's world. Hollie is the type of person who loves to help others. But sometimes her brand of help, is a little off-key. This book made me laugh, swoon and not want to put it down! It was a very fast read and things are going well for Hollie and Lucas. Hollie is making decisions on her business, she loves being with Lucas in Ireland and has a new set of friends. Their life is going well and of course, in Hollie fashion, she has to insert a little magick. This was a sweet read and I'm looking forward to A Bit of Razzle Dazzle coming this summer!
Cliffhanger-ish Book 3 of a series that keeps building Told from 2 POVs Quick novella read
If you read the first 2 books then you get the premise of this one. Hollie does a spell that may or may not go completely haywire. Lol
This book also continues Lucas and Hollie’s love story, though I would say that isn’t the main focus of the book. But you will want to have read books 1 and 2 to understand this book and to know where Hollie and Lucas are in their relationship.
A Bit of Wee Luck is book 3 in the Holidaze in Salem by Kelly Elliott and back for more “magick”.
Catching up with Holly and Lucas and their adventures while on a historical dig in Ireland…humor, some surprises, a wedding, some magick, a spell gone slightly wrong, good fortune for friends and more.
Love this series! Can’t wait for the next book…where we Ms. Elliott take us next??
Feel good story. Totally love Ireland and enjoyed that book #3 in the Holidaze in Salem series is set in Ireland. Holly and Lucas' story continues in a small town in Ireland. It is a sweet, hopeful story with all the feel goods of the previous books. Sometimes I wish life were as sweet as these books. But then again, that's why I love to escape into Kelly Elliott's stories.
Aaaah I loved this short story about Hollie and Lucas and their adventures in Ireland! Hollie has joined Lucas on another dig site, but she has her sites on a cozy wee pub and the sweet family who own it….which can only mean one thing. Spells!!!
But the cliffy at the end! Holy smokes I wonder WITCH way the story will go!!! 😏
This the third book in the Holidaze in Salem series.
Lucas and Hollie befriend the owners of the local pub who have fallen on hard times. Unusual events start to happen that turn the lives of everyone upside down.
If you enjoy a quick fun read this book is for you.
I love these cute little novellas and how we get more of Lucas and Hollie each time. This time Hollie surprises Lucas while he is over there working, with more than just herself. She also brought him a surprise.
I loved every single page of this one! I love their relationship and how Lucas seems to be picking up a little of Hollie’s Magick.
Another fun installment in the Holidaze in Salem series. This was a very quick novella that grabbed my attention right away. The novellas in this series do need to be read in order. This one picks up right where the last one left off! I thought this one was super cute and left me excited to see where the next one takes us!
A Bit of Wee Luck is such a cute read. Hollie and Lucas are reunited in Ireland and are closer than ever. I love the surprises Hollie has for Lucas. Hollie and Lucas are so cute together as they grow close to the locals. Hollies magic might not all ways work as planned but she won't give up trying. I cannot wait to see what happens with Hollie and Lucas next.
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Hollie and Lucas are cute together. Them being in Ireland was fun, but it the magic side of things is a bit much and unrealistic. Though I enjoyed that Hollie’s spell actually worked for the good for someone else this time around. Also the ending with her thinking Lucas might be a witch too seemed so random unless I missed something.

I am loving this sweet little series about Hollie and Lucas. I love that Hollie wants to do good with her witchcraft, but always has a little hiccup in her spells! Fun to read and a sweet relationship to follow.
I have to say I just Love Hollie and Lucas. Well, now that they are in Ireland , Hollie is at it again. She is just such a fun character to read and she has such a loving heart ❤️. The way this book leaves me I just can't wait for the next book. I need to know after that last sentence, haha.
Charming! Set in my beloved Ireland, this story is sweet and fun and just what the doctor ordered! This bite size stories are so entertaining and I love that they follow the same couple on their adventures!
