One million dollar. For an evening as her CEO's fiancée.
Dear @-hole billionaire boss, I’M OUT! How I would have loved to have thrown these words at Weston Miller. The CEO likes to have everything under his control. And the thing he wants to control most is me. If I could, I would have quit my job a long time ago…
But after my sister's death, I'm responsible for my nephew. And at the end of the money, there's often too much month left over. Then, one day, he makes me a crazy To fake to his client that he has a solid family life, he wants me to pretend to be his future wife. So that he can close the business deal of his life. Just like me, because he offers me a million dollars for it. Assuming his client believes our fake relationship and the deal goes through. So, I have to give it my best effort. I don't like this offer, and yet I accept it. But am I really doing this just for the money? Because when I play the role, I like it better than I would like to admit. Just like the nights we spend together.
Now there's a surprise gift neither of us expected - our baby. But is Weston truly ready for a family with me?
Well, I finished it, that's worth a star, right? It was just so exhaustingly long. Lingering on useless stuff in excruciating detail and skimming the good parts, like why didn't the author write the scene when Emily tells Aaron about her abusive relationship? That could have been such an emotional scene, but noo, she writes every other detailed useless inner monologue instead about stupid things and feelings. Urgh. And the end was a cringe for me, sorry.
Oh I hated Weston in Nick's story. cursed him 😡 Also here in the book, but through his story I can understand him a little that he was what he was. And that he doesn't trust Zoe after everything that happened.. oh I wanted to wring his neck 🤣 Luckily Joel straightened out what he screwed up, and Weston and Zoe have a nice future.
The highlight was Zoe's best friend Kaya. That's my daughter's name too. I don't read or hear it very often, but when I do, I have a big grin on my face 😅
Oh hab ich Weston gehasst, in Nicks geschichte. Hab ihn verflucht.

I barely remember what this story is about. Her brother-in-law, who murdered her sister, gets out of prison. He blackmails them at the end I think??? I don't want to read it again to figure that one out.
