Lyric Sinclair has had a whirlwind couple of months. She got sucked back into the industry she thought she was free of, she's in an exclusive relationship with a rock band, and her ex is back in the picture.

A whole new set of challenges arise as Lyric and her guys work through their grief. Moving on is never a simple task, but Lyric has back up and these guys aren't afraid to fight for what they want most.

Danger is closer than ever… but Lyric is learning to face her demons rather than running at the first sign of trouble. She better figure it out. Or it'll be her biggest regret yet.

This is part two of a duet and ends with a happy ending. This is a reverse harem omegaverse that includes mild MM (one couple) but for the most part everyone is focused on our heroine. There are growly men, knots, snarling, bonds, and you'll see the Sinclair pack come together in these pages.

That ending though!

I cannot put into words how I felt when I got to the last page. Saint's character was such a perfect opposition to sweet Lyric. You get the picture that this guy has absolutely made sacrifices to ensure the woman he loves is okay and ends up happy.

The pack came together and it wasn't like other books where I just went with it. I felt the friendship and bond between the guys (not just Saint and Crew) but all the men in the pack.

It's clear they're there to support each other as much as they are to support their girl and that made a huge difference in seeming realistic to me.

Losing someone to suicide is heartbreaking. As someone who lost a very good friend six years ago to the demons in his mind... This book had me sobbing like a baby. The line from Lachlan when he realized "I'm never going to understand why he did it." yeah... Ugly tears. The author tackled these tough subjects but in a gentle way. (if that even makes sense)

I loved seeing these characters grow and change. They truly came into their own within the pack. This is not a standard Omegaverse. It's emotional and for someone who has experienced the type of loss it discusses... It was healing.

Holy fuck. This was such a good book duo. I loved it. It was so emotional and transparent. I love lyric man. Shes the sweetest woman ever. She could do no wrong in my book. Lach. BRO YOUVE PROVED YOURSELF TO ME. YOU ARE ON OF MY FAVES NOW. Holy shit. This man and his character development. Wow. Hes the sweetest one in my opinion. Storm was a bit of a wierd input in the harem but it was okay. My only thing was that I wanted to see more of crew and saint building their relationship. LIKE THEM TOGETHER YK 👀. That was such a big miss man. Also Im still kinda iffy about lyric forgiving saint so easily. Like yes you love her but at the same time you chose your ex first getting better instead lyric knowing what shes feeling and what shes like as a person. He has known her for 5 years and he still did that?? Plus all that shit about saying his exs name when hes drunk or half asleep. Nahh. Lyric is literally an angel. Plot wise… it was okay. There wasnt much “drama” that happened. Although I do wish we got to see on what happened with her mom and kincaid. 4.5 stars

I didn’t care for this duet at all. There are so many reasons why I didn’t like this book, some personal and some due to the writing.

I mentioned in my review of book one that I didn’t like Lyric. I still don't. Lyric was always running, hiding, crying, and breaking. Thankfully, she was a little less suicidal and slightly less miserable in this book, so there is that.

Several parts of the storyline were unanswered, glossed over, or vaguely explained. We never found out all the reasons behind why Lyric left Saint and what he did. How did the nasty woman manipulate their breakup? There was never any discussion about forgiveness either, and the story just moved on like it never happened.

Storm was an asshole. He said he didn’t want Lyric and didn’t even like her as a person. She overhears and is heartbroken. Storm gives a lame ass excuse, and then the story moves on like nothing happened.

Rooker left Lyric brokenhearted and ghosted her as a teen right after her father’s suicide. This ruined her trust towards everyone in the future and broke her. They get back together with minimal conversation about the issue and move on together like nothing happened.

Are you seeing a trend here? Needless to say, I was unimpressed and disappointed.

I also didn’t like this story because it was too damn depressing. Several people committed suicide. Lyric seriously considers suicide. The guys are all broken because of a friend's suicide. Lyric is broken because of her father's suicide. This book is like this:
Crying, depression, suicide, broken, SEX!, suicidal thoughts, crying, misery, SEX!

The last reason I didn’t like this duet is because of the MM relationship. Saint forms a romantic relationship with Crew. The guys become an item and start having sex without Lyric around. Crew actually bonds Saint before he even bonds his omega. This makes me feel like they’re leaving her behind emotionally… It felt like the men became an item and just played with Lyric on the side. The whole situation rubs me the wrong way. But that’s a personal reaction, and I’m pretty sensitive about it. It may not bother anyone else.

Anyway, this duet threatens my mental health. I can't read about this much depression and misery, and the amount of suicide these books contain is horrendous. I didn’t enjoy reading this story. I won’t be rereading it ever.

Bloody hell more to this than you think

Theres very few people in this life than hasnt faced sucide either 1st or 2nd hand and this deals with the impact without being the only topic. Plenty pf steam, character growth and drama but also deeper meaning behind everything. Loved getting to know these characters and the side characters were so interesting and cant wait to get their stories. Super intrigued by Dex and what will happen with him. Read this, not your typical rockstar or omegaverse

It's a good ending for Lyric and her guys.

This book got deeper into the depression of the main character and the guys went deeper into their loss with their bandmate. It shocked me how much emotion and depth these books went into. Hard issues got tackled by this author. She did in a really great way.

Rook never seemed really concerned or affected by Bryan's death. That could be why I never cared much for his character. The other two guys in the band had these emotions and deep responses to the loss but Rook felt mostly unconcerned and that turned me off to his character. But the other guys were great. I thought Storm was awesome. Would have rather seen him added earlier instead of Rook. At least he had personality and emotions even if it was anger.

Other than that this book was perfectly done. But I guess some of that is subjective and comes down to each reader and our differences in personality.
Will read this author again.
Would highly recommend reading the trigger warnings before jumping into this set because these topics are dived into pretty deep.

I love that Lyric has ASD but no one makes a big deal about it. Watching the Sinclair pack come together was great! All the alphas have unique voices and personalities. I hate the unreliable narrator trope and I wish Lyric had been more vengeful with Reba and Marcus!! I wanted to see the both of them suffer hardcore! Lachlan and Callan were my favorites by far. I will read this author again.

This book wasn't perfect.
I wish a few things hadn't been glossed over. A few others I thought swallowed the story. Like the guys friend who died. That felt like it was focused on too much.
Overall it's still a five star read for me. The growth in the characters is evident. The author still never has any character address that Lyric is on the spectrum which was disappointing for me but that was minor and more personal preference than anything.
I loved how the MM never took over the book like it does in a lot of books in this genre. You see the conversations where Lyric acknowledges their attraction to each other and gives them the all clear to be intimate but you don't see the guys hooking up on page unless Lyric is involved.
I think it could have been polished a little better with another rounds of edits but compared to most things I've read lately it was in a league of its own.

Hmmm....

I don't know what it was about this duet, but it's been my least favorite of JW's. I don't know if it had to do with the other guy aspect of bringing in Saint and then having like a little menage relationship inside the main pack between Callan, Saint, and Lyric. It kind of left all the rest of the guys out on the periphery a lot. Some of the poor guys were barely involved it seemed like Rook and Storm. Neither of their relationships with Lyric were fleshed out well. For instance, the past with Rook and Saint was just kinda swept under the rug. We didn't really get to see them spend any quality time together and hash it out or heal from it. The excuse we're given as to why Rook is almost non-existent in this book is because he doesn't like to share and rarely gets in on the orgies. Storm on the other hand was so random. One day it's like "oh, Lyric wants you and the guys are okay with you joining the pack" and that's about the extent of the relationship building.

Also, a pet peeve of mine in reverse harems is please give me a good description of each of the men for fuck's sake. I'm a visual reader, I picture everything in my head based on what the author writes. The guy's descriptions weren't really carried throughout the book well and everyone kinda just became interchangeable. I was especially peeved that we never got a clear delineation of Rook and Storm's race. There was a mention once that Rook might be mixed but it wasn't ever clearly addressed. Then with Storm we weren't really given any specific info that he was black until he made a comment about spanking Lyric by saying, "Do you know what would happen if I as a black man, spank a white girl?" Now, I'm all for diversity. I feel like there should be more minorities in romances. I would have loved to have had more focus on it, like Lyric talking about how she loved his dark skin or anything like that to show the contrast with the other guys. Instead, he was given a complex about dating white girls. Le sigh.

Anyway, I'm a little bummed about this one. I felt like there could have been more story and relationship building than all the crazy sexcapades. Also, we never got any closure on Angel and Johnny, which sucks because that was the main conflict through most of the books. Maybe it will be addressed in the other books, but truthfully, I wasn't all that enamored by Love or Marcus, so I don't know if I will end up reading their books or not.

Simply Incredible!

I loved these characters from the very beginning, their flaws, theirs strengths, their fears. We all carry a little damage. Some of us a lot more than others and let's face it, life can be really hard. People shape us. People break us but living through the pain, finding the courage to go on without understanding all the reasons why. Healing, finding yourself, growing, thriving. That's a beautiful thing. Jillian West, I loved every step of the journey with you, what an amazing story that had me sorrowful, grieving, laughing, amazed, full of joy. The first book had a lot of angst and healing from a broken heart/the other characters dealing with the death of a friend. This book dives even deeper into those issues.

Minor spoilers may be included below.

Lyric is reunited with her ex at the beginning of this book. She's already started several new relationships with the guys in Ruin and Griffin. She does not immediately forgive Saint. I liked that she was open and honest with everyone. Owning up to her feelings with each person.

Everyone in the group has their own issues and insecurities to work through now that there is a new person wanting to be added. Lyric and Saint have this crazy bond and tons of history so without that open dialog I don't think I would have bought the guys allowing him into the mix.

Somehow the author made it seem not only believable but she showed us the steps along the way. The group came together and it just worked.

Storm was hilarious. His back and forth with his attraction seemed so real I was cracking up. Loved his addition to the pack. Wish he had been brought in sooner but his character was authentic and added something none of the other men brought to the table.

There wasn't much action or suspense in resolving the conflict with Lyric stalker. I kinda wished there had been more but I also think it stayed true to her character and how she handles conflict and problems.

The notes from Bryan were perfectly done. I loved seeing the authors insight in the author note as to why and explaining a little bit behind all of that.

There were a few misplaced commas and randomly I felt like maybe a word was missing here or there but nothing that interrupted the experience of getting lost in this crazy good story!

This was awesome

What a great book!!!

I was soooo mad at Saint when he came back and not even sure I wanted him in the pack. Even learning things I was still upset. Then the conversation between him and Lyric changed my mind.

My favorite just like the first book is Lachlan!! He made me laugh and his OTT conceitedness was great.

Griffin, love him. Love how he was the rock of the pack. Sending steady feelings and love through the bond letting everyone know everything is okay.

Rook’s possessive side I loved it.

Crew…. I loved his soft side of the pack and he loved her so much.

Storm…. Goodness his dirty mouth. Plus he had me laughing

The smut was HOT HOT

This duet had a different twist on omegaverse which drew me in. The way it tackled the real life issues the other ones don’t. Or the ones I’ve read haven’t. And I’ve read a lot of omegaverse.

I cried, laughed and got angry.
This will definitely be a reread
I can not wait for Love’s book!

Beautiful. That is the best way I can describe this duet. It covers suicide, depression, and grief with the care and respect it deserves. I can personally attest in that i felt incredibly seen as per the depression and suicidal thoughts portion of the books. There is nothing I love more than a book that makes me smile and feel genuinely sad for the characters at the same time, and this truly covered this wonderfully.

That epilogue has my heart feeling so full! Saint is definitely my favorite from this whole cast of characters. This just proves that Betas are some of the best in OV haha.

Other than that, this was a step up from the first book, but still did not deliver where I wanted it to.

Why have a side plot if it's resolved in a few sentences? How unsatisfying. Then there's the chaotic way the story unfolds. I would've loved if this was streamlined more, if the characters had more conviction, and if the train was actually written out. (I'm a whore, bite me).

Smut makes up half of this and was alright. Double pen all day everyday in this one.

I just left this duet feeling unsatisfied :c The parts were all here, I like the type of characters, but the execution was not it.

The character dev is on point! Lyric isn't a wilting flower in this one. She doesn't do some crazy 180 degree turn but she does grow into her own. She builds up Callan and helps him embrace his sexuality with Saint. Griffin is there constantly supporting everyone. Rook is growly and learns how to share. Lachlan is my favorite. His growth and self-reflection were so f**king great. Storm was a strange addition I have no clue why the author didn't include him in book one even if he hadn't interacted with Lyric yet. 🤷🏼‍♀️ seemed weird to add him so late. I cannot f**king wait for the spin offs!

Great book with lots of steam and a slow build up. Loved that the character is plus-size without it being constantly brought up! The level of honest communication was refreshing! Healthy relationships where people actually talk through problems/issues should be written about more frequently. I know I personally would read that in a heartbeat!
Loved how Griffin was always there to support the h no matter what. Storm was there to call her out. Lachlan grew up and became someone she could count on. Would recommend to anyone who likes a deep story filled with growth and character development. The trigger warning is to be heeded for sure.

Lovely Duet!

Lyric was an interesting character that I really connected with and I loved getting to see her change throughout the books. She was utterly destroyed at the beginning of book 1 and seeing her heal and grow in book 2 was great.

I loved the guys in Ruin too and seeing how they supported Lyric and each other.

Some of the themes were tough too. When talking about the after math of what happened, sometimes things make sense, but sometimes they don't. I loved the emotion she was able to put into the book. It felt really real and easy to connect with.

Great Duet, hope to see more of these characters make cameos! ;)

off to a good start and was enjoyable. love that lyric was independently wealthy, volunteered and donated to charity, was talented and smart, and while she had her own demons wasn’t your typical poor but proud, kidnapped omega that has become so ubiquitous in this genre.

story got convoluted with the addition of another alpha that didn’t seem necessary or to add a lot to the dynamic, (as a reader I always wonder at this rate how many men will end up in this harem over the next, say, ten years when there isn’t much chemistry or connection there, just more physical attraction?!) the relationship between saint and crew felt forced, the ending suddenly we are making this a magic and fantasy story!? She never really talked things out deeply with Saint, and just felt like there could have been more evolution and depth with everyone. would be interested to see what else this author puts out as she keeps writing but don’t think I will be as interested in the spin-offs she mentioned.

This duet took me by surprise and the throat. I started book one yesterday morning and just finished book two today. I love lyric and all of her men. If you liked Lola and the millionaires you’ll love this book. Especially if you enjoy a lot of deep emotions with your stories.

It’s got spice, it’s got growly men, it’s got cinnamon rolls, and everything in between. Just oh my god. Read it.

I really wish authors would be upfront in their book descriptions about what each book contains.

Description from book one stated “book one contains minimum MM” & there is not a mention at all about MM in the second book. As someone who doesn’t care for MM I thought this was a book I could read.

I was wrong. Almost halfway through the second book and a full blown relationship is forming between two of the MMCs, which is not something I like in the rh books I read.

Also, so many things are just glossed over and never mentioned or discussed. All this pain and betrayal and blah blah blah but no one ever actually fixes anything? There were at least 5 different conversations about “open communication” but Lyric just glosses over problems and has surface level conversations before moving on.

Drug use? Never really discussed. “That’s a later problem” is literally what they say. “If it becomes a problem” they’ll talk about it…she’s literally doing drugs to numb her pain. Is that not a problem?

Suicide? Big theme in this book, yet the fact that Lyric is borderline suicidal is glossed over and never actually addressed by the MMCs.

Relationship problems? Barely discussed. One guy ghosts her and shatters her trust after her dads suicide and she forgives him within two days on him reappearing more than 5 years later. Another guy supposedly is placing his exes feelings above hers & she resists him a little longer than the other, maybe like 5 days?

Definitely not my thing, and I really wish I had known where it was going before I spent time reading this duet.

- One giant f*ckfest.
- I don't understand why people like Lyric, what does she bring to the table other than being a rich omega who's mentally unstable?
- Absolutely hated how Ryder so casually will f*ck anyone else when he's supposedly so in love with Lyric and has dedicated years to getting her mental space to a better space.
- Absolutely hated how Callan, who was absolutely fine being exclusive with Lyric, gets talked over by Ryder into a 3some despite him saying he's fine as it is and not ready for anything new and Ryder and Lyric have the NERVE to say "Don't let us pressure you into anything you're not comfortable with," before pressuring him into doing exactly that, like wth??

This is the second in the Ruined Records duet. It is not meant as a standalone. Read Left in Ruins first. I'm going to try my best, but there might be some slight spoilers to book 1 in my review. Also, if you found her other works first like I did (Not Many Options, A Pack for Christmas) - know that while her humor does shine through at times, these are significantly darker/angstier novels.

Oh man! Jillian West put me through the ringer with this duet and I loved it. My favorite part of West's writing is how distinct and well crafted her characters are. She opens each chapter with the name of the character, but even if she didn't - I would know exactly whose perspective it is.

Lyric, Griffin, Lachlan, Callan, & to an extent Rooker have come together and are starting to form a pack. They are healing from their pasts, learning about each other, and trying to work at communicating better. Griffin, oh Griffin! He's so amazing at keeping the other guys in check from trying to manage Lyric in misguided attempts to protect her. Lachlan seems like he'd be flaky, but he's all in. Callan is so sweet and almost a male version of Lyric. Rooker is another protector and growly goodness.

Then. THEN! West doubles down (hah!) and adds two more guys to the pack. I didn't think it would be possible, but she does a great job with solidifying them in ways I didn't imagine. Won't spoil who they are, but it's a perfect fit.

There is a bit of an MM element between two of the guys, but the sexual aspect is only lightly touched on. If I'm being honest I would have loved for that to have been explored more, but I did appreciate their relationship and how it was an integral part of the pack dynamic.

There's a bit of a mystery/suspense element with an unidentified stalker and a growing list of suspects. It's a minor part of the story but adds an interesting twist to the the Pack's interactions. I liked that West spent the time to show a lot of growth and healing for all of the characters, but especially Lyric. She has been through so much and there are no easy fixes, but her growing pack becomes the family and support system she's always needed.

I know West did a bit of a spinoff from this with Not Many Options - but there's several secondary characters that I would love to see explored a bit more. I'll jump on any books she releases in the future.

CW:
Please read the content warnings West provides at the beginning of the book. This isn’t an easy path for most of the characters and several are still coping in very unhealthy ways at the beginning.

I got lost in this book. Went from book 1 directly into book 2. There are so many themes in this series from finding value in your self worth to being true to yourself and what you think is right. I can't say enough about this book set! Got into the second half of book 2 and the tougher subjects like survivors guilt and questions like why?
No doubts about it. Five out of Five Stars.
Cannot recommend this book enough. It had me laughing and crying on and off. By the end I was smiling at my kindle. This is a very satisfying read.

I actually really loved this duet and am stalking Amazon for a release date for paperbacks. I loved that we got to see an unique take on the Alpha, Omega, Beta relationships in this duet and I didn’t feel like the story focused on the Omega ‘roles’. I feel a lot of Omegaverses do this and it takes away from the plot.

I did feel like the writing was slightly chopping in transitioning between chapters/moving to a new setting (more so in book two) but it was still easy enough to figure out what was going on.

I love all the emotions this duet brings & the topics covered were done spectacularly. We’re left with a lot of ‘why’ questions in the end; why did so and so do such and such, but I think they were minor details in the whole aspect of the book and left for readers to decide on their own.

The editing is still not very good in this book, similar to book #1 where there are many misplaced commas and some words are wrongly spelt. Line breaks are in the wrong place, which makes it confusing to determine who is speaking at times. Nevertheless, the story is good, which is why I'm giving the book four stars. But it is frustrating and I hope the author will get a better editor for future books.

So the book continues immediately where book #1 left off. In fact, there's a bit of overlap, as we go over the same scene from Lyric's POV (in book #1 it was from Callan's POV). I liked that Lyric didn't forgive Saint / Ryder immediately and take him back. She has to work through her feelings, which is exactly what it would be like IRL. She admits that she still loves him but says she was hurt.

The whole situation is tricky because the guys are afraid that with Saint back in her life, she wouldn't want them. Saint is afraid that with alphas in her life, she wouldn't need a beta, who can't help her during her heat because he doesn't have an alpha knot. There are things to work through and I thought this part was very masterfully done. Each of the guys has to make his own peace with his inner fears and insecurities, and choose to accept Saint / Ryder into their pack. Meanwhile, Lyric does a lot of communicating and is upfront with each of the guys about how she feels. I REALLY love the communication and personal growth that happens among all the characters, and if not for the editing issues, I would have given this book 5 stars for this alone.

I thought that Storm felt like an afterthought or last-minute addition to the harem. We never really got to know him and he didn't feel like part of the group. Saint / Ryder on the other hand, fit in quite seamlessly. I loved how he helped the other guys to care for Lyric and coached them on what an omega needs. It's clear that he had done a lot of research throughout the years to find out the best way to help her. He loves her desperately and that's something I love to see in every romance book hero.

I feel that the author gave us a good balance of time spent with all the guys, although I almost feel like Lyric favours Griffin a bit more than the others. We still don't get to meet Michael (Griffin's uncle and the owner of the security firm who protects Lyric). I felt cheated as a result -- if someone is mentioned so much and is so important, he ought to appear in the book at some point. And then there was Lyric's mother... I wasn't sure what all the drama with her was all about--like what did she hope to achieve with all that?

Finally we get some answers about Marcus Gaffney, Lyric's brother. And Lyric eventually decides to quit coke but I was frustrated that we don't find out how or why. Saint / Ryder seems to imply that it's normal for her to "indulge" when she's in a creative frenzy, writing songs. When one of the guys is concerned and asks him about it, he says it's not something to be worried about, as he has seen her like this before and she's being productive. Yet after that, she decides to quit coke but it's just mentioned in one throw-away line. In book #1, I had thought that she was close to becoming an addict as she would very casually snort coke or crystal quite often, so to me this was a big deal and I wanted to know why she had made the decision to quit.

All in all, I felt that this book was stronger than book #1 and I think the author's writing is amazing. It really just needs a wee bit more touch-up from a good copy editor to help it shine the way it is meant to shine.

Left In Ruins and Madness are one of the best Omegaverse books out. The writing is far higher in calibre than we normally get in spicy romance books let alone an omegaverse book. Hats off to the author for doing what most can’t.

I was a bit confused for huge parts of the book, but I enjoyed unraveling the existing relationships over time instead of the main character just telling us straight up, in their inner monologue.

My one qualm is that I would have preferred seeing more of the MM relationship prior to the bond. Would have added more depth to the emotions needed to progress to the bond. Further on this, the second book seemed quite choppy with cutting between different days etc, as the author ‘faded to black’ in parts.

Also a bit confused by the paranormal addition at the end, but I guess if we can have ‘designations’ other weird stuff can also exist.

Looking forward to more works in this series!

Round up for this one.
It's solid 4.5 star read for me.
I loved Jaxon Stormer! Why wasn't he in book 1? His family esp his dad had me laughing out loud. Will Jessa get a book? A bipoc h who's a doctor! I want to read that book!

Lochlan was cute with his narcissistic personality! Griffin yes I'll take one of him too. Saint didn't have me firmly in the forgive camp until he said that the h was always going to be his #1. Took awhile but I forgave his ass too. Only thing I wasn't sold on was that epi. Weird to introduce the son like that. Would have rather got that in a short story.

What a good debut duet! I'm so glad a friend recommended this. A fresh take on Omegaverses, with some deep, real-world issues talked about. It was great to read a omegaverse where there wasn't a already done and ready pack, but where the pack is being formed as we go along.

Storm was the last add-on and to be fair (and as much as I liked him) I think the story would have been stronger without him, or it could have worked better if he had been introduced in book one.

I like all the guys in Lyrics pack, but especially Griffin, Crew and Lachlan. I started the book hating Saints guts but quickly grew to love him too, so the author did a great redemption arc there. The guys all had their strengths and all brought something to the table, which is why they worked as a pack.

I liked Lyric as a fmc. I liked that she's curvy and "soft", as usually the fmcs in omegaverses I've read have been short and tiny. I liked that she's so accepting of others, even though it does come off a bit like she's a push-over at times, and I did hope that she could have shown a bit more anger towards those who wanted to hurt her. In my opinion you can be both angry and accepting of the factors that might cause someone to act "badly".

Reading about side character who had committed suicide, and reading about Lyric having felt suicidal was a bit difficult due to my own past experiences. The author did a wonderful job portraying both how a suicidal person might feel and also how those left behind might handle the loss and the feelings a loss like that can evoke.

With topics as heavy as suicide, mental health and drug abuse, this duet didn't feel too dark and heavy at all. The author balanced it wonderfully with some great banter and also great smut.

It showed a bit that this is the authors debut, and that the editing process wasn't as thorough as the author would have liked. There were some typos, some repetitive word choices and things like that. None of them big enough to take away from how much I enjoyed the book in the big picture, but something worth noting if that's something that might annoy you.

A great duet.

I just have two things that bothered me:

1: when saint came back it at seemed like the real relationship was between saint and lyric, not all as a group, and that the alphas was only there for their knot. And that just felt....wrong. Didn't feel so much like a group..

2: the view on bisexuality. Just because someone is bi, doesn't mean they NEED to have intimate relationship with people of both genders to have a happy relationship and feel satisfied. Lach volunteering to "help" Crew out so he could have a male partner also, because just being with Lyric wouldn't be enough for him?? Just feel like pushing this narrative of bisexual needing both genders and will cheat if not allowed to have that, is really hurtful and damaging. Just because someone is straight doesn't mean they have to have sex with anyone of the opposite gender, so why would bisexual be different? Just dont like that portrayal? And just because Crew and Saint are bi, doesn't even mean they would necessarily be attracted to each other or want a relationship??

Not a great book. It had its moments, but it felt like a lot of stuff just got dropped.

We never get a good explanation for why Lyric’s brother was with Reba, given that Reba is a total insane psycho. We never find out why Reba hired goons to kidnap Lyric other than “she’s crazy.” Lyric does a news interview and reveals stuff about her past to the public and then nothing. There is no conclusion to the drama with her mother. The actual truth about Saint turns out to be rather dull.

Lyric’s drug habit suddenly disappears. I think Storm cured her with a spanking. Seriously.

I didn’t think we needed a new love interest, but Storm was more interesting than Griffon so if I had to choose one to delete, it would be Griffon.

I found the epilogue to be out of sync with the whole rest of the duet. What is this weird supernatural element tacked on to the end of a rockband Omegaverse book?

Anyway… this book is chock full of smut, and it has a happy ending.
