Chasing Donkeys: When God Redirects Your Steps

Rate this book
You know how there are days when your life is moving along but you aren't really going anywhere? Have you ever been just coasting along, minding your own business and out of nowhere, God redirects your steps toward something you never saw coming? Are you struggling with knowing your purpose or calling in life?

This book will let you know you're not alone and give you very practical steps to navigate the chaos and uncertainty of knowing what to do next.

If you are tired of wandering around not sure what to do, take some time to read Chasing Donkeys and see how God is using all of your circumstances to direct you to something much different than you could ever think or imagine. This four step process will help you move toward His plan, not away from it.

The fear of wasting your life and the many opportunities has to be stronger than the fear of what might happen if you obey. There's more to gain than you would ever lose.

The good news is you're just a few hours away from learning the simple four-step process to begin gaining clarity around where God is leading you and what He's capable of with a life that is fully surrendered to Him.

Life is filled with pursuits. When our pursuits intersect with God’s purpose, we understand the profound meaning of the seemingly mundane and the immense gravity of the otherwise insignificant.

In Chasing Donkeys, Dwayne winsomely instructs us to see those intersections, those defining moments, as part of God’s grand design. With this perspective, Morris calls us to a higher pursuit, a single focused pursuit, the pursuit of Christ Himself and, in Him, to find our own purpose and story.

This book will challenge your thinking, answer your questions, and point you to the One who desires to define your day-to-day life in terms of eternity through a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

We’ve all had Chasing Donkeys experiences. Some more profound than others. Some more life altering than others. Dwayne offers us excellent illustrations of how we may have our own plans, but ultimately God’s plan prevails when we lay down our life for the life He has in store for us. I trust you will see your story in this illuminating guide.

We live in a day and age where people long to make their lives count for something; often comparing themselves to others and trying to mimic their successes. Chasing Donkeys presents a way for us to live out our purpose, unique to our lives, as God orchestrates the minute details toward that end. Dwayne shows us how to live each day with intention and still trust in God’s sovereign plan. Dwayne does an excellent job of engaging Scripture and practical leadership insights with the stories of others to show how faithful living and seemingly mundane opportunities CAN LEAD to purpose and fulfillment. If you want to make much of Jesus in your life and are wrestling with the details of your journey, this book is for you.

My good friend Dwayne has written a book that we as believers NEED to read. As followers of Christ, we often wonder, "God what do you have in store for me?" I know myself I thought I was walking the walk God had for me until I fully surrendered and He put me in places I would never have thought I would ever be. Dwayne shows us that God is still in the business of building His Kingdom and He wants to use you even if you are out chasing donkeys.

WHo knew? Saul was focused on chasing donkeys while Samuel was focused on carrying out God’s will. An intriguing read
