Prove Them Wrong written by Dre Evans is an astounding and inspiring memoir. I could not put this book down. No matter the challenge or difficulties that stood in his way at every turn in his life, Evans pressed on and didn’t let the pain of his past deter him from going after and achieving his dreams. Evans is a brilliant writer and I felt every emotion as I read this book, from tears to laughter and everything in between. This is a must read. I absolutely loved Prove Them Wrong and you will too. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Subjective account with straightforward narration

This is an extraordinary narrative of how Dre overcame hurdles in his life and went on to be the best version of himself. Some of the incidents were heart wrenching but the presentation kept me going.
It is a book that will inspire you as it comes from author's personal experience.
I am not too big into memoirs, this one however had excellent delivery and kept me engaged despite being long.
I'd recommend this book to anyone who is looking for motivation.

Great insightful and inspiring book.

Emotional and one that is easily relatable to so many people, from many perspectives.

This book I will definitely remember, as it is one of those books with so many quotes to refer back to and remind yourself to “prove them wrong”.

Dre does an amazing job at telling his story in a way that is casual - yet alluring! He maintains the readers interest with his ability to really set the scene and tap into one’s emotions and psyche.

I’m glad I stumbled across this book as I feel full of grace and new inspiration having read this book.

Overcoming huge odds

This is an inspiring book about overcoming your environment which does not have many resources, racism, and self doubt. Dre Evans shows what can be done when you believe in yourself and have mentors that want you to succeed.
