Part One.

They say that, when you stare into the Abyss, the abyss stares back. Well, when I did it, it asked for a job and moved into my spare room. That was just the beginning of my problems

Lucifer is missing, presumed... uh... Gone.

God is out to lunch and the whole of creation is about to go to hell in a handcart.

Enter A private detective with a murky past, a liking for old books and a penchant for not dying.

Wxlfx (Ms Wicks): A murky past (see above) and the demon tasked with finding (and returning) Lucifer. Likes an occasional glass of red wine.

And introducing The competition. An angel. If you're not a part of the plan then you're definitely a part of the problem. Having a bit of an off day. Possibly a killer.

Together they must find the long lost keys to hell, last seen in the hands of one of Simons favourite authors.

The catch? He's been dead for well over 500 years.

Should be no problem. Right?

RIGHT?

Simon and Wx have such great chemistry and it comes out really well despite the length of the story.

I loved the hard boiled detective side of this tale which left me wanting to know more about the mystery.

I definitely felt Constantine vibes, bars that have angels/demons sharing a drink etc.

Looking forward to book 2
