Rate this book
London Notes and Lectures is a book written by Walter C. Lanyon, which is a collection of his lectures and notes on the city of London. The book provides a unique perspective on the city, as Lanyon was an American spiritual teacher who lived in London for a few years in the early 20th century. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which covers a specific aspect of London. Lanyon discusses the history of the city, its architecture, its people, and its culture. He also provides insights into the spiritual nature of London, highlighting the many churches and religious institutions that are found throughout the city.Throughout the book, Lanyon's writing style is engaging and accessible, making it easy for readers to follow along with his ideas and insights. He draws on his own experiences living in London, as well as his knowledge of history and culture, to provide a rich and nuanced portrait of the city.Overall, London Notes and Lectures is a fascinating read for anyone interested in the history, culture, and spirituality of London. Lanyon's unique perspective and engaging writing style make this book a valuable addition to any library. The gist of this book is to establish Self Reliance; to bring to the attention of man the nature of his True Self which has been called the I Am or Christ-consciousness; and to cause him to see that by becoming one with this Power he is the power in action. No more will he attempt to use this Power, once he understands that he is the Power. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.

You will not be the same after you read this book. Walter C. Lanyon has a way of looking into the bible that makes you say, I didn't know that was in there. You will go from trying to please God, to knowing Jesus pleased God. All his books take you out of the hot-seat and into the adventure. Life is a person. You will find "meat" here. Are you in the desert seek cold water? This book is for the one who has a personal relationship with Jesus the Lord. I would read just a page a day, so I could enjoy the book and think on what I read, I didn't want it to end.
