Bruno Tangaree has a mission. With his guidance and strength, the Werewolves of Malta will know more glory than any pack on Earth. And he's chosen his mate-the only woman who not only makes him burn with hunger, but who can match his special gift-to run by his side as he leads his kind. It's time to run his little lady to ground. Renee has fled from her sire, angry, hating the knowledge that he'd agree to a mating for the money and prestige it would bring his den. He has sold her like a piece of chattel, and she won't stand for it. When Bruno, the rogue werewolf no den would approve of, approaches her, she's terrified and excited at the same time. Strong, determined, dark and sexy, he's been the source of more fantasies than she can count. But now he knows her darkest secret, and seduces her so quickly she forgets the meaning of the word no. Bruno shows her that by mastering the elements, developing and sharing their gifts will make them the strongest werewolves ever to walk this planet.

This book had a good storyline and held my interest until the end. However there are parts not everyone would agree with. They seem more animal than human. Bruno has to kill the current alpha in order to gain contol of the pack. To really seal they're bond, Bruno and Renee have sex in shifted form. Not all readers would want to read this and I'm surprised that isn't in the product description. Also a HUGE element that took some getting used to: ALL the females were referred to as bitches, which goes back to them seeming more animal than human. I did like the book and I would not be opposed to reading another book from this series or this author.
Bruno is going to challenge and take over the Malta pack, share his gifts and make them the strongest in the world. Renee is also gifted and he wants her for his mate. He makes his claim before the fight with the alpha.

Book one in the Werewolves of Malta series is a short, erotic snapshot which shows up on my nook as 141 pages long. It is a superficial glimpse into a story about two people becoming a couple. Basically two people become more than friends, but before they can be happy the male plans to challenge the pack's alpha.
The story lacks depth and emotional exploration. We meet characters, listen in on their thoughts about their lives and how they've reached the point we are introduced to them and watch them have sex. We're not even guaranteed a happy ending because as the old alpha's mate says "May you have as many wonderful years as I did before this happens to you." (p. 102)
I didn't too much care for Elements Unbound. It interchange the word bitch for woman, she or her which irked the shit out of me. That aside, the hero is aggressive and happy with his submissive partner. The heroine loves Bruno's fierce desire for her. She get excited by his He-man actions. For example, she was excited when he ripped off her clothing and ravaged her on the ground.
If you read this book expect a ton of sex: regular sex, half-shifted to human sex and werewolf to werewolf sex.
This was a pretty good, enjoyable introduction to the Werewolves of Malta series. We dived right in to the potential mating between Bruno and Renee. Bruno is an alpha who knows what he wants who recognizes the power that Renee holds. He knows that a mating between them could bring their Pack power but he has to challenge the current Pack leader. Renee has been burned by alphas before; her father is trying to sell her to an older mate so she’s reluctant to believe that Bruno wants to become mates. There is an undeniable spark between them that draws them together and heat when they finally come together. I had only a few issues with this story. Again, I felt it was a little short; there was a lot of potential for a longer story. I also wasn’t that big of a fan of the fact that Renee was only 20. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older but I’m typically not drawn to heroines that are that young. Other than that, good read!
Great introduction to a 'new-to-me' series. I loved the unique spin on werewolf lore and their having elemental powers. The chemistry between these characters was compelling and very steamy. i particularly liked the heroine and her kindness as the new queen.
If this were a full-length novel, I think i would feel more invested in the characters and I could see this being a 4.5 or 5 star for me. I will definitely read more in this series as this short was enough of a teaser to want to know where the author will take the story.
This is the novel featuring The Werewolves of Malta,it was a good introduction to what I am hoping will the first of many as I always enjoy her stories.
I liked this book. It was a quick read for me. It got straight to the point and didn't go into lots useless detail. It moved at a fast pace. I would read it again. Loved the characters.
