"Can you deny the attraction between us?"

Eve had to admit she couldn't--and she was grateful for Zack Thole's financial backing, which had saved Hallam's Boatyard, her family's business. But she had no intention of being carried away by moonlight and madness.

Dominating and determined, Zack pursued Eve Hallam single-mindedly, and she found herself weakening. Yet Eve was haunted by the past and by her almost-committed relationship to a man who despised Zack Thole like an enemy.

Could Zack's motive in pursuing her possibly be revenge?

Hot romance between a budding artist and a business tycoon. The hero is besotted from the start and pursues her ardently. She tries to resist him but Traitorous Body :)

Points off because the OW, who was a really condescending cow, never got told off by either hero or heroine and presumably will continue to work as his right-hand woman. Heroine was so quick to tell off the hero but when it came to OW or to the vile OM, she was putty in their hands.

Bonus points for 80s nostalgia: Heroine shows her dance moves at a party where they play her favorite hit "Billie Jean." Hero cuts in smoothly when her dance partner is getting too handsy during a romantic slow set to Foreigner's "Waiting for a girl like you."

Read this for a great Old Skool hero who will not be stopped until he gets his woman.

He says quite early (compared to other HP’s) that he loves her and that he wants to marry her. Surprising and very good.

She is a virgin h who talks back to him. Like almost all HP h’s she is also a bit stupid, but her stupidity is bearable, so therefore I don’t take points off the rating.

There are no children in the story. And she doesn’t get oopsie-pregnant. What a relief.

Did not like the heroine! The author made heroine cry independent… when she’s really not. All I see it a bratty, bitter, over the top feisty heroine. Too many times she hits hero or wants to. She has no qualms about it. Abusive much? & the romance was poorly done. She hates the hero (yeah, more like she was playing hard to get) but then still, all of a sudden, she’s all sappy. She’s glad it’s him who seduced her... Also, the heroine lead OM on. I find it annoying when an author writes that the heroine doesn’t even like the OM all that much but she’s perfectly fine to date/make out with him. I think this heroine could really use a backbone.
